I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk

If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is great: 024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!scenario

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.

So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Ahhh Holly has a baby right?!? I can't wait to hear from her. Virtual hugs!!! Oh and not that it matters now but yeah that nasty acid reflux did one straight away it's not something iv ever really had before it was pants.

I laughed at your hubby wolf whistling you dead my oh acts like I'm a super model whilst pregnant it's crazy. It's very sweet though and glad it cheered you up. What a beautiful scan he is going to be a cutie.

Supposedly boys are tipping the scales at 51% birth rate. I think il be a boy too but I won't know until they are here. In December Confused

Melleebacca · 06/07/2017 18:29

Lapin - I'm 33w too, and have just come off my ondansetron tablets (baby has dropped and the constipation became 100 x worse). So I'm feeling nauseous and off my food at the moment. No vomiting yet, but I try very hard to make sure I don't.
I think you made the right choice finishing work earlier, rest should make your sickness less pronounced.

Hope all is well with Holly....

Lemon - I'm sure there's some girls coming soon. Will just wait for some more scans.

Deaddoor - good luck with boys names. Hubbys side is very boy heavy, so I struggle with boys names the most. There was a lot of relief with DD being a girl.

Piles are starting to heal here. Thank the heavens. And it's Friday, hubby will be home for the next two days to help. DD has her inflatable slide up so I don't feel as guilty about lying on the sofa all day, and resting my booty.

Waves to all.

HaichM · 06/07/2017 18:30

Lemon: we've also kept it a surprise.

Lapin: I went off at 34 weeks. Although my Hg hasn't been too bad during the 3rd trimester so far (I have had some sickness and an increase in nausea but copeable) I was hit with 3rd trimester fatigue and pretty much slept while DS was at school

flossyfloss · 06/07/2017 21:37

I'm pregnant with a girl Grin found out through the Harmony test this week!

Had my dating scan today and she had grown so much since the harmony scan 2 weeks ago! I'm 13 weeks on Saturday.

Woo flossy!

weasledee · 06/07/2017 21:55

Great news floss! :)

Mustang27 · 06/07/2017 22:01

Woohoo it's a girl Grinlove the scan pic flossy

Melleebacca · 06/07/2017 23:19

Yay flossy! Hopefully the good news helps take the edge off the sickness.

DeadDoorpost · 06/07/2017 23:39

Natsku the metoclopramide wasn't the complete saviour for me but it did also take a while to kick in. Feel free to take the extra tablet. I took an extra cyclizine tablet when the 3 tablets I'd had had worn off. Otherwise I'd wake up at 3am to throw up.

Mellee oh, we have a name sorted. Been chosen since before the pregnancy. DH doesn't want to tell anyone though in case we decide after he's born that the name doesn't suit him. No idea what I'll do if that's the case.

I've just woken up from a 5 hour nap sleep. And need to sleep more. No idea why I'm so tired but I also don't care. I like sleeping.

DeadDoorpost · 06/07/2017 23:39

Just shifted... And I apparently need the loo 😂😂😂 would explain waking up then

Mustang27 · 06/07/2017 23:49

Dead iv just clicked on your scan pic. It has all your details on it?? Did you mean to post that.

Natsku · 07/07/2017 06:48

I'd take the extra doxylamine but I need to renew the prescription first or then I'll run out before I get back from holiday.

Mammabear13 · 07/07/2017 08:18

This thread is so busy, I can't keep up - mind you I can't keep up with much at the minute, my brain has been much this week! Lovely to see some scan pictures dead and flossy Smile

I'm 31 weeks now, and thankful for being able to count down in single figures; no idea how I made it this far but will keep clinging on. I am actually holding out for 32 weeks as with my little girl I finally stopped being sick then for 2 weeks so very much hoping I might get a reprieve with this one too!

Was popping on as have been thinking about Holly and hoping her walk over the drawbridge has been smooth.

beanhunter · 07/07/2017 08:43

Morning all. Last day at work for 2 months and that's the biggest relief possible. Cyclizine helping so managed to keep down dinner for the last two days (shan't discuss breakfast and lunch) so at least less dizzy than before.

DeadDoorpost · 07/07/2017 10:38

Mustang yeah i was so tired yesterday it didn't occur to me. Not that I care too much but I'll see if I can edit it.

LucindaE · 07/07/2017 10:50

Lapin It is very brave of you to manage without meds, and when still working too. I am so glad you are going on maternity leave soon. Some women find the side effects of sleepiness wear off after a few days, but others don't, and it must be so hard to cope.
Natsku Spacing out the meds seems the best thing - and you will be exhausted by the end of the day.
Mustang Heartburn is miserable, and greatly adds to the sickness. I know that 102 boys are typically born on average to 100 girls, but this certainly seems like an increase.
flossyfloss On which, congratulations on lovely scan results. That seems to happen. The sweet parasites do take what they need, which is why you feel extra terrible.
HaichM I am sorry you are suffering a bit worse in the third tri. 'It is so not fair!'
MamaBear So sorry you still feel foul. I do feel for those who suffer throughout. I hope you do get relief soon.
beanhunt I am glad you begin ML and that at least dinner is staying put since you began the cyclizine.
Waves to DeadDoorPost and everyone.

Morning all! My chunky little monkey Zachary was born yesterday at 1255 weighing a massive 8 pounds 6 ounces. I am so pleased to report that the sickness went immediately. I was sick once the op started but got a shot on ondansetron and felt better.

Am pretty sore post surgery and he is struggling to feed but he is the most chilled out baby ever, basically doesnt cry.

I am hopeful my HG nightmare is over and fingers crossed it doesn't return. Thank you so much for the support you have all given me over the past 8 months.

Hugs to all

DeadDoorpost · 07/07/2017 11:16

Yay Holly congratulations!! And glad to hear the sickness stopped.

1984FS · 07/07/2017 11:27

@Hollyhop17 Congratulations! So pleased for you that the sickness has gone. Hope you have a speedy recovery too x

pippanippa · 07/07/2017 11:57

Holly congratulations, am so pleased for you!!! Hope you're able to rest up, recover and enjoy your new family - oh yes, and of course enjoy savouring food again.

Lemondrop99 · 07/07/2017 11:58

Congratulations Holly! So happy that you are finally feeling better. I bet you have a list of everything you want to eat! Welcome to the world Zachary 😊

I'm in a great mood today. It's Friday, it's sunny (albeit a bit too hot) and I'm not feeling sick at all today. I've got a lovely weekend lined up including some more work on the nursery and a big choir show. I also just heard that potentially enough people have agreed to leave my workplace voluntarily so interviews have been suspended. Assuming all gets confirmed with the voluntary redundancies, I won't have to compete to keep my job!

weasledee · 07/07/2017 12:09

Congratulations Holly! Nice to hear such lovely news. Hoping u didn't find the c section too awful and wishing u a speedy recovery Smile

Oklahoma · 07/07/2017 13:51

Woooohooooo Holly!!!!!!!
Eat EVERYTHING!!

Oklahoma · 07/07/2017 13:52

and Lemon great news on the work front.

DeadDoorpost · 07/07/2017 13:58

That's good news, Lemon ! Good luck with it all.

I went for a drive with a friend of mine AND DIDN'T FEEL SICK I am so happy. That's the first time in months.

And on the up/downside, my washing machine absolutely stinks so I might finally be able to convince my DH to get a washer-dryer to replace it fingers crossed
