Whos my unborn baby's father?

user1483558208 · 10/01/2017 18:33

Need help working out who my unborn baby's dad is? My lmp was 23/11/16. I had sex with guy #1 on the 3/12/16 & 9/12/16, he didn't ejaculate inside of me. I had sex with guy #2 on 4/12/16 and the next few days, he ejaculated in me every time we had sex. I probably ovulated on the 7th/8th. who could be my child's father?

Technically either but more likely to be guy 2 as he actually ejaculated.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 10/01/2017 18:36

Either. Sperm lasts approx 5 days so either man's sperm could have fertilised the egg. Chances are it's bloke #2, but bloke #1 could have released some sperm before he ejaculated.

You can only be sure by how the baby looks when s/he is born or, more realistically, a paternity test.

Best to be honest to all involved, ask for 9 months to yourself, and decide if you would like to raise the baby single, or, try to make a go of it with either of the men.

eurochick · 10/01/2017 18:38

More likely guy 2 but could be either.

walkersoutandabout · 10/01/2017 18:38

Probably man number 2.

kilmuir · 10/01/2017 18:39

Sure it was only the 2 you had unprotected sex with????

NapQueen · 10/01/2017 18:41

The most likely answer is the one that ejaculated inside you. However if the first didn't wear a condom regardless then they could too.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 10/01/2017 18:41

kilmuir pulling out is not a form of contraception. Pre-cum contains sperm and can leak out at any point during sex.

TheTantrumCometh · 10/01/2017 18:47

It could be either based on pre-cum and the length of time sperm is believed to be still 'alive' within the body.

If you decide to proceed with the pregnancy you need to be upfront with both men about the possibility of them not being the father. It's not fair on anyone otherwise.

user1483558208 · 10/01/2017 18:49

Guy #1 didn't ejaculate at all.

Is there any way to find out who the father is before the baby is born? I'm due August 30th

OP posts:
NapQueen · 10/01/2017 18:52

But did he wear a condom?

NapQueen · 10/01/2017 18:53

No.

PatriciaHolm · 10/01/2017 18:54

There's no way to find out without using their DNA as well and pre-natal tests are invasive and risky.

PastysPrincess · 10/01/2017 18:58

How do you know when you ovulated? Were you using ovulation sticks; have you been tracking your temperature and logging your periods etc? If not it's very difficult to predict exactly when you would have ovulated so if there were other guys you slept with around the same time they could be in the running too.

user1483558208 · 10/01/2017 19:05

It was just the two guys and yes I know when I ovulated I know my body very well and keep track as me and my partner were trying for a baby.

Your poor partner Sad

user1483558208 · 10/01/2017 19:15

People can judge all they want. I came on here to ask a question not for people to slate me. I had my reasons.

OP posts:
Gazelda · 10/01/2017 19:18

It is probably #2. vut you won't know until/unless you do a DNA test.
What are you going to tell your partner? Have you told him you're pregnant?

HelenDenver · 10/01/2017 19:25

Ah, OP. What a difficult situation.

Most likely the one who ejaculated, but they are too close together to be at all sure.

HelenDenver · 10/01/2017 19:27

Risks here, as an example, you'd also need blood from the father

www.thelondonultrasoundcentre.co.uk/prenatal-paternity-testing-babys-father/

Waiting until after birth less risky

Christmasbaby16 · 10/01/2017 19:27

Maybe do the decent think and get a DNA test rather than relying on mumsnet for the answer to your predicament....Hmm

Ah, OP. What a difficult situation.

All caused by the OP

user1483558208

A DNA test would be the only way, and I hope that you will be telling your partner that he is not the father.

TheNaze73 · 10/01/2017 19:29

It could be either, just because #1 didn't blow his beans, it doesn't mean that he isn't the father.

NapQueen · 10/01/2017 19:30

Empathising with your partner isn't slating you.

PotatoWaffleCob · 10/01/2017 19:31

Bridget?
