Libertybelles - A little girl Smile .. I think you mentioned a she.. So presuming little girl for you too? Smile .. Is this your first baby? Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:12

Yeah little girl here too. Yes first baby Grin- can't wait! So excited!!

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 12:15

Libertybelles -
Ahhh Smile .. Have you picked any names yet? Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:16

Yup we've got one sorted and waiting for her!! Hopefully it fits what she looks like! You?

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 12:23

I have one I really like Smile and 2 others to think about when she has arrived just in case she doesn't suit no.1 choice Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:25

Probably more sensible than just having the one! Took us ages to decide though and DH kept going off the ones we picked so not much choice

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 12:30

Libertybelles - I found with my little boy I had loads of names listed to choose from .. But with this one I'm just stuck - I love unusual names, which doesn't make the process any easier! Lol .. Smile Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:39

Sunflowers - same here, DD will have a fairly uncommon name :) her middle name will be Florence (after DHs late grandmother)

Jenjen86 · 24/01/2016 12:42

Any signs yet ladies? I think I will be pregnant for the rest of my life! They sat ring relaxed brings on labour but of course the longer it takes the less relaxed you get, it's a catch 22.
I have my 40 wk midwife apt this week, will the offer me a membrane sweep? If so, would they do it then and there or make a separate apt?

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 12:44

Libertybelles - Ahh that's beautiful Smile This ones middle name is going to be Rose after her nan and my mum Smile Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:45

Hey Jenjen - I'm lying on the sofa as we speak! Have tried to be really active but am so tired now!! Trying to relax as I now have the mindset that baby is never coming out!!! Had what I think we're contractions on Thursday night/Friday morning (first baby so who knows) but they stopped and haven't felt anything since! I've got my 40 week appointment tomorrow and I'm going to bed them for a sweep - hoping they give me one then and there

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:46

Thanks sunflowers GrinI like it when the middle name has a meaning behind just being a pretty name

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 12:48

JenJen86 ..
No signs yet Sad ... And exactly that! Hard to stay relaxed when I'm losing all my patience and have more time to dwell on things ..
My midwife is offering a sweep at 41 weeks, but think it's different if it's your first baby when you can be offered one at 40 weeks - although some places are different to others Thanks
You could always ask - and they are normally done at your usual appointment Thanks

Jenjen86 · 24/01/2016 12:50

I'm so jealous of you being able to pick girls names, I had so many I loved so of course we are having a boy haha!
Libertybells I am the same,I have a huge list of things I could/should be doing but cuddling the dog and watching Sunday brunch seems much more tempting!!
Please let me know if they do you a membrane sweep and I will also beg for one on Thursday if they do. I'm prepared to try anything at this point...

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:52

Will do JenJen - I've been reading up about Bishops score (I'm a science teacher/geek) so am going to ask for that too! I've read that's the case Sunflowers - seems the wrong way round to me...

Jenjen86 · 24/01/2016 12:52

Ah thanks sunflower! I shall definitely ask then :)
Awww I hope we are all posting happy news in the next few days! I might see if I can find some you tube videos on how to meditate...perhaps that will make me relax

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 12:53

Also on the sofa Grin .. I should be doing washing - ironing - organising - cleaning, you name it .. Unfortunately the motivation is just not there! Lol .. My nesting instinct lasted a day! Blush and then I didn't achieve much due to the pain I was in with my pelvis Hmm
Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 12:57

Also, is anyone annoyed that if baby is too overdue they will be a Feb baby not a Jan one!!! This really irritates me for some reason!!! Confused

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 12:58

I think it's all down to the fact that with first babies they engage earlier and stay that way where as future babies can engage but normally Bob in and out until labour actually forces them to stay there .. So Sweeps can be less effective Hmm if even possible ..
But every pregnancy is different and every where practises different Thanks

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 13:01

Libertybelles - my eldest daughter is 16 on Wednesday (27th) so in a way I'm glad I've not gone in yet - but to be honest would do anything to have baby beforehand or day after .. February just feels even further away Confused even though technically it's not Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 13:02

Sunflowers - it's my sister and bro in laws birthday today and both were convinced baby would arrive today

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 13:04

I keep getting the irritating .. Oooo I thought you'd have gone by now , you not popped yet - and the ooooo I don't envy you when she does decide to come Hmm.. All things every 40 weeks pregnant ladies need to hear! Not! Hmm
Thanks

Jenjen86 · 24/01/2016 13:09

Isn't it funny how people say things with the best intentions and they just really annoy you? My two so far that drive me batty are "oh well, not long now" because only someone at this stage understands that these last few weeks feel like years and that every day is another frustrating reminder that there is still no sign of baby! And the other is "well it will all be worth it in the end"....we know it will but that doesn't make waiting any easier haha.

Sunflower2016 · 24/01/2016 13:13

Exactly JenJen86!!!! Thanks

LibertyBelles · 24/01/2016 13:25

I think the most annoying is 'rest now, when she arrives you'll have no time to yourself'
