How far along are u Marie?

I told my sis we're ttc and im worried that it'll be weird between us coz i'll be seeing her xmas day for the 1st time since i told her. Dont think she thought her baby sis would be having kids before her! (7 yr age diff)

marie22 · 21/12/2006 21:20

hi babylove! im 14 weeks 15 on xmas day!!! i still have to tell my older sis and like u i think she will be shocked im having a baby before her although there is only a 19months between us in age. i think it will be hard to tell her as she has a good job new house and in a stable relationship but hey they always say theres one in every family! i guess its me!

how far along are u?

wow 15 weeks, go you!!! Yeh i think its the sis's that are hard. I can expect my mums reaction, my dad will go silent and dp's family will probably ban us from their house! Didnt know how sis wld react. She was shocked but made me cry when she text me saying "quite looking forward to being an auntie "

Shes being a bit hopeful! Well im 19 days late but with neg tests. Thing is, i've had a severe water infection and now apparently have internal vaginal thrush as a result (sorry if tmi!) and im wondering if its affecting the tests.......docs wont do any bloods or anything until new yr, apparently its not important to know yet!

marie22 · 21/12/2006 21:32

well thats crap! they should do it before christmas just in case coz it will affect ur celebrating! (this is the first year for ages i will not be clubbing!!!) i hope ur sis is ok with it and that you have been successful! is this you first try?

yeh i begged but he was having none of it. Really hurt me by saying "it doesnt really matter if you are or arent, just treat everything as you are". Um, it matters to us women because we wanna know if we're gonna be mums!!!

This is our 5th cycle of ttc, didnt think being 20 it wld take as long, naive eh?!

marie22 · 21/12/2006 22:15

of course it is important! i take it it was a male doctor? (sorry to all decent men out there!!!) i cant say much! how naive was i thinking i couldnt get pregnant! have u tried different postions? i dont no much about it only wot i have heard but some can increase ur chances!

Babylove, I would wait. I have really had my fingers crossed for you hun, but what if the worst happens and you aren't. It would be miserable having to tell people that you were wrong.

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 22:24

Yeh definitely male and most probably not married with no kids!!! Wait till his partner is ttc!!!!

Paula, i havent told ppl other than my sis and a couple of friends, am not telling ppl till im 12 weeks when i do/if i am pg!

paulaplumpbottom · 21/12/2006 22:25

How are you feeling today?

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 22:26

Me?

marie22 · 21/12/2006 22:27

It is probably best to wait till it is positive just in case although all my hopes are with you and fingers crossed!!

paulaplumpbottom · 21/12/2006 22:30

yes you

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 22:30

thanks Marie. Doc said it can take some women up to 10 weeks to see a positive test (altho unlikely) and obv i'd only be 7 weeks. Have had PLENTY of symptoms but nothing i can do......will have to wait and see if af comes on 2nd Jan or before. Argh, so far away! Infact, thats when i go back 2 work so im gonna be wishing all my xmas time off away!

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 22:32

hehe, soz thought i'd better check. Yeh im ok, had the metallic taste back again 2day, been about 5 days since i had that. made a list to take to docs with all my symptoms on....will go find it looks in handbag

Right:-

Lower back pain,
Tiredness,
Slight sickness,
weak bladder/strong urine (soz!)
fluttering feeling/mild stretching
Wind (soz!)
Metallic taste
and obv 19 days late!

Still got all of them at diff times!

marie22 · 21/12/2006 22:34

i know its probably hard even impossible but try not to worry about it to much!

OP posts:
paulaplumpbottom · 21/12/2006 22:37

Have you been taking any home test?

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 22:37

Yeh i've given up on the worrying. Im just gonna have to be sensible incase altho i cld really do with my anti-inflamitory (sp?!) pills......

Roll on Jan 2nd!

babylove123 · 21/12/2006 22:38
