next do nice maternity clothes-vests and skirts too, to help keep you cool.

topshop,& warehouse also do maternity clothes too! (so you will be a trendy mama!)

marie22 · 05/01/2007 13:43

i looked at the topshop range with is really nice but unfortunlty i was already a size 16-18 before i got pg so they dont really fit me do u no if there is twin maternty wear or do i just get bigger sizes wen i need them?

I found H&M fantastic for maternity stuff. Cheaper than a lot of others too and much of their stuff is designed for feeding too Next is a pain as they don't do it instore anymore you have to order. I quite like DP for basic maternity stuff too, just plain tops etc. New Look not too bad. I found Top Shop very pricey and very big at the back for some reason. Though I do have a smart black dress from them which has served me well for various formal occasions!

crossed posts. Quite a lot of tops will feel too big now. It is all designed to take you right to the end of pregnancy. You may be best off now getting maternity trousers and using a bump band with your normal tops, or look into buying som longer tops that are made to go over your bum not pg then get maternity tops later.

the mothercare maternity pants are very generous, even with ds when i was really big i never reached the full extension on them.

Indith · 05/01/2007 13:49

really? I had a lovely long skirt from mothercare and grew out of it.

Ooooh one must buy though is knickers from mothercare. They do maternity minis, fit nicly under your bump so you don't have to have the whole huge pant thing!

my friend had twins last year, i think she bought clothes with adjustable things in the trosers so they would stretch and stretch-but she lived in tracksuits bottoms and man size t-shirts for last few weeks-she went to 39 weeks!

marie22 · 05/01/2007 13:52

lol cant picture me wearing granny pants!

also don't be afraid to buy lots of maternity stuff now in the sales. by the end of the pregnancy you'll be spending all your money on baby stuff and won't want to spend money on clothes you'll only wear for a couple more months

marie22 · 05/01/2007 13:53

wow 39 weeks! hope i can hold them in that long!

also, just a thought

my local sure start centre has a group for twins and more-including whilst you are pg. make new mummy friends?

also my sure start has a mother and baby support team that can visit you after birth in your home regularly up until 6 weeks of age to help you with all sorts of things, including feeding, practical help, etc.

they also run baby groups, bf groups, etc, and have a drop in midwife clinic.

i practically lived at my sure start when dcs were smaller!

marie22 · 05/01/2007 14:11
