I'm due on Sunday and thought it'd be nice to see if anyone else is due soon?

How are you all feeling? This will be my second and we've been told it's a girl. If anyone's around and fancies a moan chat about this last stretch, step forward!!

Any one up?some quite bad period pains and lower back pains with tightening going on here...not sure if it's a false start yet though, i vaguely remember loads of back pain with ds but with all the stopping and starting im doubting my self now

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 00:15

I'm up just cannot sleep at all.

Fingers crossed it's the start for you. How often are they coming?

ScorpioMermaid · 13/07/2015 00:53

I'm still pregnant too. Sad and it's officially my due date now! thought in was in labour earlier. That trailed off. Got to ring at 7.30 am (I'd better go to sleep really) to see if they are ready for me at 8am for my induction. Doubt it.

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 07:11

Why are you being induced again scorpio?

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 13/07/2015 08:39

Nothing here either, was starting to get to every five minutes, thoughts best get some rest while manageable, went to sleep and woke up disappointed.
good luck Scorpio!here's hoping SOMEONE has their baby today

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 12:56

Ah it's so frustrating isn't it.

How are you getting on scorpio?

NKfell · 13/07/2015 12:56

I made it to IKEA and back without baby- DP was gutted, he thought we might get free stuff if the baby was born in IKEA! Ha

coney I've just remembered what my midwife said the first time when I was saying I was worried he wouldn't come out, she said "my Love, with all the will in the world you won't be able to keep him in!" I always think of her saying that when I worry!

It won't be me today, this one is well and truly settled in.

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 13:05

Thanks nk I'm nervous about my midwife telling me cervix is still high and closed on wednesday. I feel confident enough to refuse induction if she pushes for it but don't want to put baby at risk. I always think of the worst case scenario I'm a nightmare. Haha I don't know how oh is still putting up with me!

NKfell · 13/07/2015 15:56

To be honest I know I probably shouldn't but I tend to go with the flow! I have the same midwife this time as last time and she's very nice and eye wateringly thorough!

I don't know how I'm putting up with DP- I said how some...happy time...might help and he was going "omg no way, the baby will be way too close. no. just no." he's an imbecile ha.

clarabell4680 · 13/07/2015 15:57

Hey all... I am 40+5 today and still waiting!! Got midwife coming over Wednesday for 41 week appointment, but I don't want a sweep so she will just check heartbeat and discuss induction I suppose! I just hope he comes naturally as don't particularly want to be induced!
@Coneywonder - I am the same as you, such a worrier, I drive myself mad!

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 16:09

clara I've just been reading up about induction and I'm going to refuse and ask for expectant management. Maybe ask me that this time next week if I'm still pregnant though...haha.

We are the same then both 41 weeks on Wednesday.

Haha NK I thought my oh would be like that but I just text him saying "sex tonight" and he txt back saying "YESSSSS!"

Does anyone know the answer to this, do you have to dilate a little to lose your plug? Like does that release it? My thinking behind that is I've not lost my plug yet so does that mean my cervix is still high and closed or does it not matter?

clarabell4680 · 13/07/2015 16:26

Yeah @coneywonder we are due date buddies :) now we are over due buddies I suppose haha! I don't want an induction either :( I want it to be as all as natural as possible... I haven't heard of expectant management so may look it up, thanks.

As for DTD... I have thought about it too, and OH is happy to if it starts things going but no idea about cervix either, I know baby is still only 3/5 engaged so no idea if it will help or not!

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 16:30

I was reading this:birthhypnosis.net/induction-of-labour/

I have been doing hypnobirthing but even if your not it's a good read especially the BRAIN thing telling you what kind of questions to ask if they offer induction.

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 16:30

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 16:37

www.nice.org.uk/guidance/cg70/chapter/guidance

Been reading this too. Can't help to be more informed I guess! Fingers crossed we won't need it

clarabell4680 · 13/07/2015 17:18

Interesting @corey I didn't know you can refuse induction but I suppose it is up to you. I would prefer to go into spontaneous natural labour and hope it happens by next week! I will see what midwife says Wednesday as baby is happy and comfy in there at the moment!

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 17:38

Yeah I think as long as everything is good with baby and placenta you can refuse it.

Those guidelines are what the midwives are supposed to follow anyhow. Hopefully we won't need to refuse anything and they come on their own soon!!

villainousbroodmare · 13/07/2015 17:50

I thought there had been very little movement overnight and went to hospital today. Spent half an hour on a foetal heart monitor, all fine. Consultant on his f*in' holidays so will see him on Thursday when he returns.

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 18:08

They are playing with us these babies....

I've just lost a little plug and I'm cramping a wee bit. Not getting hopes up though

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 13/07/2015 18:24

Dtd 3Times, 30mile country/bumpy drive and a whole fresh pineapple this afternoon and nothing, tightenings are getting uncomfortable but after last night's disappointment im not getting my hopes up!
Been losing my plug since last Monday after sweep Coney-midwife said it comes loose once everything starts softening etc-it's a good sign!!
im not even due yet, but it's driving me CRAZY knowing im so close yet so far.Angry

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 18:27

3 times! Impressive haha.

It's a good sign tightenings are getting uncomfortable! When are you due again?

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 13/07/2015 18:41

Due date is Wednesday, I've got a sweep booked for 4 that day,so at the very least I'll know if I'm any further along.it's nearly a week since the bloody doctor told me I'd have baby in 24hour 48absolute max Hmm

coneywonder · 13/07/2015 18:48

Why do doctors do that and insist on getting our hopes up?!

I got a sweep on Wednesday too. Fingers crossed we are like 10cm dilated and ready to push yeah?

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 13/07/2015 19:05

Haha that's the dream Coney!!!

LittleMiss77 · 13/07/2015 19:15

Grin coney, you do make me laugh (I may have had a similar thought earlier on when my appointment reminder text came through!)
