I'm due on Sunday and thought it'd be nice to see if anyone else is due soon?

How are you all feeling? This will be my second and we've been told it's a girl. If anyone's around and fancies a moan chat about this last stretch, step forward!!

Thanks ladies...pessary is in...now more monitoring for an hour!! Very boring but a means to an end. But....cervix is closed...how frustrating!!

Ooh Laura I started to get my hopes up this morning when I was in a bit of pain but now baby's settled down and is comfy again!

If left to his own devices goodness knows when I'd go into labour- he was due the 8th now it's the bloody 21st and he's settled as you like!

Clara I can imagine you'll have had a difficult night but yey you're in now so you'll have a baby soon!!

Coney you'll also have a baby very soon!!

I've just got here and waiting to be seen by someone. A midwife friend of my mums just helpfully said "you probably be holding yur baby until Thursday ya know" OKAY BRILLIANT THANK YOU!

I really hate staying overnight in hospitals after a horrible experience when I was a teenager but needs must.

Oh Coney that is really not helpful!!! Grr! Ignore! Glad you're there. I'm back at home now so just have to wait and see if pessary works...if not I have to go back at 12 tomorrow for next stage of induction! So fingers crossed! But not too hopeful as cervix was closed...but out of my hands now.
Good luck coney. The pessary insertion isn't bad at all either x

Thursday?! So, if I'm not induced til Thursday it then might take until Saturday?

I don't think I've been listening to the midwife properly- I thought when they induced you the baby would come much quicker. I am so sad now!!

Not always NK...my sister took 4 days which is rare but two friends had their babies within 6 hours of induction so don't panic yet. How far along will you be on Thursday?

15 days over- if it takes 4 days it would just be my luck.

It doesn't help that I had my hopes up for tomorrow and then it's moved to Thursday.

It varies a girl I know was 5 days my cousin was about 12 hours but they have been telling me it's most likely tomorrow.

clara I envy you that you can go home I'm not allowed off hospital grounds. I'm still half a centimeter dilated and a bishop score of 4. And I get 6 hours before they put another in. Wahhhh

Oh NK...that's not good. As you're so over already. Tomorrow I'll be 14 days over. Just want it over and done with now!!! Fed up and there were tears when I got home! :(

Coney... It's so frustrating isn't it?! I know I'll be back in lunchtime tomorrow for the drip as don't think he wants to go anywhere at the moment!! I know I'm lucky to be at home but jeez I am fed up!! Good luck, hope it goes quickly! X

Ah NK I didn't read that you were that overdue. I'm 14 days over tomorrow too bit they are happy to leave you until Thursday so gives you plenty of cervix ripening time.

Ah clara I cried when I got here. I must admit I'm scared of the drip. My OH just gone to get us fish and chips that we will eat in the car. I'm not having any contractions but baby is moving so so much

I'm so emotional too today Coney! Cried about 3 times now...just cannot believe i still don't have baby in my arms yet!! I have zero signs still!! I don't want the drip either but if it means it hurries this whole process up then I will just suck it up! Enjoy fish and chips :) keep me posted xx

I'm gutted, had my head down all day. I really can't see it happening naturally any time soon- the midwife said the baby's very comfortable in there.

I want fish and chips instead I'm weeping into a bakewell tart!

Had about 4 mega painful contractions walking about in hospital. Now I'm back in my room and nothing. They said they will give me a pessay at 9 then again at 3 in the morning!! Why can't they leave me to sleep? I might ask them to if it gets to that. I can't even think about the baby at the moment that's how scared I am. I wanna run away haha but I know all will be worth it

Oh NK... I have cried about 4 times now today...so emotional isn't it. I'm sorry you have to wait another few days...not fair!!

I am now just stressing the fact that tomorrow will kick things off and I'm so nervous about it as don't know what to expect! But I suppose we're all the same.
My OH has been just amazing and trying to cheer me up even though I am sure he is as stressed as me! I'm lucky to have him! Oh gawd...I'm going to cry again!! Aghh!

Ooh Coney...good sign!! Hope it all kicks off soon! That's how I'm feeling about tomorrow! I want to run away too...can't face it!! But haven't got a choice! Surely its less stressful to just have a cesarean!! I can't bear this waiting and not knowing.

I was thinking about that before about how less stressful a c section must be but rhe recovery must be a bummer.

I have cried ALOT my oh is staying with me tonight in a bloody chair. I feel worried about him sleeping but i wont be haha.

Still no pains :(

Yes a lot less stressful...you have a date and time and you know it will all be over in 45 mins. Recovery time is the negative but it is really only 4 weeks now of not driving etc...I would definitely opt for one next time!! Xx

Clara and Coney so sorry nothing's happened very quickly for you both! Have been thinking bout u all day!

Last night baby was manic between 4pm and 1am it was nothing I've ever felt before and then from when I woke this morning til 6 this evening I felt barely anything so rang triage and they got me in straight away, absolutely everything fine with LO but the midwife said I've booked you in for induction 2moro as opposed to Sunday which I'm actually surprisingly pleased about as obviously wanted it naturally but I've reached that point now where I just want it to get started. She also tried to do a sweep again and what iv now been told twice is baby's head is lower than my cervix which I just don't understand as surely this is labour. So on neither occasions can they even feel my cervix. I asked about the pessary for 2moro and she said this need to go onto your cervix which I just can't see is going to happen. Anyway I guess I'm just going to have to go with the flow and see what happens.
Feeling quite positive and I'm really not sure why as I never thought I would be about induction!
Sorry about the massive message guys, hope your feeling ok NK! Won't be long until we will have all experienced induction!

Morning...no news from me other than having to go back in today for 2nd stage of induction...jusy want it over with now!!

Laura, that's good news about induction...try not to worry. The pessary is fine and it might just get things moving for you! Good luck and keep us posted!

Ooh, no word from Coney so hoping this means she is in labour or had baby?!

I'm now back for 2nd stage induction...having the gels put in every 6 hours...:( the first one seems to be doing something having really awful cramps now...so we will see. I am finally dilated a little now too so just a waiting game.

NK...sorry still nothing happening!! Is your induction still Sunday??

Sunday?! Oh god don't say that, it's tomorrow! The confusion was probably because I thought when you're induced it happens straight away then when I heard it takes days I was thinking omg so it won't be until the weekend.

Yeah coney must have either had the baby or in the process!!

You must be close now clara - all the very best!!

My Mum was saying because I was so lucky with the other 2 and was expecting the same again it's why I'm so low but, I think this thread shows that no matter what, being overdue is awful!
