Anyone else 39+ weeks?

I'm due on Sunday and thought it'd be nice to see if anyone else is due soon?

How are you all feeling? This will be my second and we've been told it's a girl. If anyone's around and fancies a moan chat about this last stretch, step forward!!

Hi everyone, thanks for the well wishes and congrats on the other Bubbas that have appeared thsee past few days too!

I was being induced due to having quick labours, big babies, previous placental abruption, her being my 9th, her unstable lie and because I requested it to be honest.

They had me in at 8am and the midwife (sister) felt my tummy and said that she needed to get me scanned before they could insert the propess as she was convinced that she was breech. (I'd been scanned multiple times in pregnancy as baby hadn't engaged and was somersaulting all over the place) the dr came in not long after, had a feel and said no, shes definately head down - no need for a scan. So anyway I get the propess at 12.40pm. Come 4pm I'm in agony. 6pm on gas talking about unicorns and Christmas trees. 7pm contracting 6 times in every 10 minutes. Obviously that's change over to night staff time. 7.35pm I'm groaning something about my waters are going to go pop at any minute (dh listened cos he knows what I'm like and to listen when I say stuff like that in labour) mw says, drs will be in at 8pm we'll take a look then. DH said I shouted something about it being too late by then. 7.42pm waters went and out popped a bottom. (DH reeled this off to me as I was still thinking about unicorns and I thought it was a head so they let me think that rather than panic me) and a leg seconds later. Then the placenta fucking came out with her cord round it and her body then the next leg and then dh and mw screamed at me to push her out NOW. She was born at 7.4pm. They put her on me and I looked down and saw this grey, lifeless, silent baby. They sounded tge alarm and the room filled with people. I realised then something was wrong but I couldn't see her after that cos she was on the warming unit thing. DH looked terrified but was reassuring me she was fine. She was unresponsive for 2 minutes. We thought we had lost her. It was horrendous. Then to top it off within an hour I was having a pph and lost 2200ml of blood and ended up in theatre to have my womb manually emptied. I had to sign consent that should I bleed further in the next so many hours that they would take me back to theatre for a hysterectomy. Luckily it calmed it and i still have my womb. poor dh was a broken man that day. I only came home yesterday and I'm in so much pain. Drugged up to my eyeballs and the lot.

Ah scorpio I'm so sorry you had such a bad time hopefully it's not scarred you too much and yoy can recover nicely at home. I hope.your DH is ok too!!

clara I'm still effing pregnant. I'll give her till 2pm then her 24 hour success rate can suck a fat one. Fed up!!!!

Scorpio that sounds horrendous, I really feel for you. It must of been a terrifying time for you both. But I'm glad that both you and the baby are now ok although feeling a bit a rough.

Can't wait to hear if there's any progress with Coney!

Nothing my end, a few really intense cramps when I got into bed last night but that was all.

Thanks laura I guess I'll see what today brings. Can't believe I'm 9 days over. Can you clara? Its definitely like running a marathon and getting to the finish and being told to carry on until someone tells you to stop! Haha.

Thanks. yes it was the stuff of nightmares. I'm ok ish. dh is totally in love and very protective of her, as obviously he would be but he seems more so if you know what I mean and hes furious, why couldn't the dr just have scanned me? 10 minutes out of her life! (she was born at 7.44pm just realised i missed the second number) obviously it not their fault I had a pph but my baby could have had a better- safer- entrance into this world and that's down to the dr. no question. baby is doing well now thanks, she saw the paediatrician twice and requires a hip scan. she was bluey tinged for a while especially in her legs and her reflexes were a little slow. shes lovely and we're glad we got her home.

Oh scorpio I really hope you recover well mentally if anything. Your right I would be incredibly angry at that doctor. How could he not tell she was breech? If a midwife thought so you would scan just to check no matter what you thought surely? I know these words don't matter now but I totally understand where your coming from.

I've been told that my baby is back to back and then good position and then back to back again so if I do go in to be monitored if I refuse induction hopefully they will be able to tell correctly.

I'm really very nervous about birth I keep going from "I'm absolutely fine about it" to crying when I get to bed with dp. I'm absolutely useless with pain and being a drama queen so I hope I keep it together.

I also feel like my body is failing even though that's me being dramatic. 9 days over and no signs at all, no show or loss of plug or BH just the odd period type cramp that seems to go when I go to the loo.

So frustrating. Sorry for the ramble

Coney...yes xsnt believe I'm 9 days over either!! The midwife told me to not stress about it and it isn't our body failing it is more the fact it's working too well as she said we have made a perfect comfy home for baby...which is true I suppose, but still want him to make his way out!!! Keep me posted with signs!! I have zero as uaual!! Grr!!

Thats a nice way to think about it i suppose! Im off to john lewis and lunch with my mum, see if that will cheer me up (if she doesnt annoy the hell out of my hormonal self)

Oh nice! I'm off to meet the hubbie for a pub lunch too!! Need to get out the house. Feel like I'm going mad! Hope your lunch with your mum is OK too and those hormones stay calm haha!!

But I feel like some kind of public property as people just stare at the bump as it huge and I am literally all bump!!

Haha!! Yep I am jut bump weirdly not put on any weight anywhere else! So yeah sticks out even more...yep really low now, not sure he can get any lower...so he better come out soon!! & yep everyone comments on how low I am too haha!!
