I'm due on Sunday and thought it'd be nice to see if anyone else is due soon?

How are you all feeling? This will be my second and we've been told it's a girl. If anyone's around and fancies a moan chat about this last stretch, step forward!!

OP posts:

Aw Laura...she did not sound helpful at all!! Surely they should book your induction ready just in case?! Poor you. I really hope she arrives before Sunday so you don't have to worry about sweep then. X

NKfell · 16/07/2015 15:30

I'm now 1 week and 1 day over- my midwife is actually lovely but said to leave it until 22 July- it seems ages away tbh, due on the 8th but they won't do anything until 22nd? I'm really struggling to be positive this afternoon.

Don't worry Laura I know it's awful all the waiting and I'm sure that's exacerbated by the midwife being a bit, well, rubbish. Fingers crossed your little one gets a wiggle on before Sunday.

clarabell4680 · 16/07/2015 15:50

Same NK... but midwife wanted to get me induced around 12 days over, but the hospital couldn't fit me on the Monday so booked in for 21st instead so only a day before you... at least we have a date set, as I couldn't take many more weeks of this and just waiting... but I am the same as you, it all hit me this afternoon and just burst into tears when my cat jumped up for strokes...! How pathetic do I sound? I just felt so emotional and once I started I couldn't stop :( I just want him here and I was hoping it would all happen naturally!

laura825 · 16/07/2015 15:53

Ahh there's me moaning and you guys are more overdue than I am! Sorry!! It's just so bloody hard to find the strength to be positive today! Glad you've both got a date sorted for induction, the end is definitely in sight for us all just hoping it comes naturally to us all rather than induction! We still have a few days for it to happen so keeping everything and anything crossed for you!!

coneywonder · 16/07/2015 16:05

Ah ladies sounds like your having the day I had yesterday. I thought the world was gonna end I was that fed up haha. Annoying you couldn't get a sweep laura your midwife sounds as useless as mine!!

I've just been to the reflexologist and it was amazing so so relaxing and then she said "you will be in labour in the early hours" I don't know how she can make such a bold statement but she said it had something to do with my pressure points. I'm hoping that her 95% success rate is something to go by but we shall see!!

NKfell · 16/07/2015 16:15

I just think 2 weeks over seems a really long time but my midwife said he's happy enough so just wants to give him a bit of time to come on his own. DP is the least punctual person in the world so I have a feeling he's taking after his Dad.

I cried earlier because there was a group of men in having lunch and they were talking quietly amongst themselves over whether they find black women attractive. This one guy was saying he didn't (he wasn't saying it in a mean way btw!) and I went out the back and cried!

The nearest reflexologist is 45mins/1hr away from me- tell me coney is it good enough to travel for? Or maybe I'll wait and see if you go into labour!

villainousbroodmare · 16/07/2015 16:19

I'm booked for an induction on Monday which will be 8 days over. I need to be at the hospital at 6am to start, and they'll do a section if it hasn't worked by lunchtime. I hope it works... over 80% C secs here in South Africa and everyone I meet who finds out I'm overdue is like Confused

coneywonder · 16/07/2015 16:26

I'll have the option for induction on Monday or Tuesday but I think I'm gonna wait it out (if I can) I think if babies are happy then so be it but bloody hell hurry up!! nk I think mine is taking after my OH who sounds like yours! Mine was a 40 minute drive away and I do think she was worth it purley because I feel more positive and relaxed after it but yeah maybe wait until I go into labour haha. I hope your feeling a bit better soon.

Wow villanous I can't believe how different it is over there. How do you feel about it all?

clarabell4680 · 16/07/2015 16:29

Thanks Laura, just being overdue full stop is frustrating in itself, so understandable you are as impatient as us too! How overdue are you again?

oooh Coney, I cannot wait to hear if this happens! how exciting if she is right! I have looked up on a video online about which points to press and making other half do it tonight, he always gives good foot massages anyway so hoping he can work his magic!! Fingers crossed for you.

Oh NK, those guys sound like total idiots, I bet none of them are even remotely attractive anyway and they sound like vile human beings to even say such things. Don't even give it a second though, these bloomin hormones, anything sets me off at the moment too!!

Villa - good luck for Monday and I hope it happens naturally before then too!

I think I will have a hot curry tonight to cheer me up and I love curry too!

villainousbroodmare · 16/07/2015 16:29

A bit "against the clock"... I'm hoping I can do this myself but have no idea what to expect. In the meantime enjoying the freedom and sleep!

coneywonder · 16/07/2015 16:42

I second what clara said NK what kinda guys discuss that stuff anyway? Or am I being niave? Ha.

Ooo clara I hope your hubby works his magic for you. If I do go in labour it will be a little freaky to say the least! Maybe we will have our babies on the same day...just because we are due date buds...haha

NKfell · 16/07/2015 16:43

coney I got trigger happy and booked reflexology session for Monday morning! My sister said she'd give me a lift so I don't have to drive for that long.

Thanks Clara - tbh they weren't even being mean, I'm just super sensitive atm! I'm also having a hot curry tonight- it's a bloody good job I like it, it's all I'm eating most evenings!

Good luck villa and fingers crossed it happens how you want it but also, woop! You'll definitely have a baby on Monday!!

coneywonder · 16/07/2015 17:10

Ah that's good when is your appointment?

Fingers crossed for us both

clarabell4680 · 16/07/2015 17:29

Thanks Coney! I hope it works too :) & for you too! I will be looking on here for news, but yes would be great if we had them the same day in the end after all that! Just think though, this time next week... we 'should', all have them here already!! eek.

NK - I love curry too and yes I am super sensitive too to anything right now! Good luck with the reflexology on Monday, let us know how it goes

NKfell · 16/07/2015 17:43

If we all don't have our baby's by this time next week I'll be fuming!!

villainousbroodmare · 16/07/2015 17:48

Wondering how many of us have names for our babies and how many know if we're having boys or girls?
I've a boy on board who's probably going to be Finn Patrick Benjamin (unless it seems like it doesn't suit him when we see him).

clarabell4680 · 16/07/2015 18:23

I'm having a boy too...:) no name yet though. We have a few we like but won't decide until we see him!

laura825 · 16/07/2015 18:32

I hope it works for you Coney if it does I will definitely be having a look to book in somewhere!

I'm having a girl, think il be calling her Leila Elizabeth!

coneywonder · 16/07/2015 18:56

I don't know what I'm having but if it's a boy

Arthur Bowan and if it's a girl Elsie May

If we don't have babies by this time next week I'll have been locked up

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 16/07/2015 19:01

And yes...I will need to be sectioned if he isn't here by next week too!!
Any signs yet from the reflexology??

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 16/07/2015 22:13

Thank you!I feel ok actually!the birth was good, totally different to ds, started on mlu which was lovely and relaxed. Moved to ward because I had that scare with the blood clots few weeks ago.gas and air and morphine towards the end-and that was it,No epidural this time round, dp even got to cut the cord this time!totally different experience, forced my self to relax as much as possible and to not give a toss, with ds I was worried/embarrassed about not making too much noise etc-this time I decided to let go and felt amazing for it.only thing is ds fell out of bed a dGPS and ended up in a and e til three this morning,so our peaceful relaxed first night home was nothing of the sort!

coneywonder · 16/07/2015 22:54

Birth sounds lovely! Sorry to hear about ds is he okay?!

clara we have a lot in common then! And nothing yet no just period type pains I'm not getting my hopes up!!
