I'm due on Sunday and thought it'd be nice to see if anyone else is due soon?

How are you all feeling? This will be my second and we've been told it's a girl. If anyone's around and fancies a moan chat about this last stretch, step forward!!

Yeah coney, Tuesday at 10.30am so yes we could be in it together! Eek.
I've read about DTD being good for inducing labour too but we're both a bit unsure if we feel comfortable enough to do it! But if needs must ;) we may give it a try!!
NK...this is the sort of pathetic thing I cry or get upset about too!! Haha

I've not booked mine yet but Tuesday is the day she said. I take it we would have to pack for more than the one night? Definitely going to try and DTD Later I think haha

Well yeah I have packed for 2 nights but I'd they give you pessary and you are low risk they will then send you home for 24 hours to see if it works and you go into labour...if you do they won't need to do the drip so fingers crossed that works!

Sorry just read back my message and typos galore...hope it made sense but yes basically if you are classed as low risk they will send you home after they have inserted pessary to give you 24hrs to see if it works...I got given a booklet by the midwife, that's why I know lots of info!!

Your midwife sounds brill. Mine didn't tell me anything but hopefully the one I'm seeing on Saturday will be a bit better

Bobian Thanks Congratulations. Looks like our DC share a birthday. My little boy was born at 9pm last night.

woke up at 3am in agony. rang hospital at 4 who said my contractions were too irregular to come in. Ended up going in at 6 with contractions every 2 minutes!

I'm a little shell shocked regarding the whole experience, but i really cant fault any aspect of the care received at the local MLU and labour ward. They listened and provided advice in relation to everything i had asked for and provided copiuos amounts of tea and toast afterwards, even at stupid o'clock in the morning.

We've been left to rest and will hopefully be discharged in a few hours (once DP has woken up - it was a bit traumatic for him) Grin

I will do she has a 95% success rate of inducing labour in 24 hours...bold statement to make!! I'll be the 5% it doesn't work for haha

I have had progress actually - waters started to go at 4am. MW been and confirmed so now I have 24hrs to get it out before they try for induction!

Woo dulcet!!! How do you feel? I can't help but think that nothing is gonna work for me because of my cervix. But positivity is essential this late in the game! Haha. Are we the only 3 left?

Coney...I've just got it in my head that I'm going in Tuesday and going to be induced! Then I won't be disappointed if nothing happens...but willing something to happen before then!! Think we are the only ones left!!

Hey don't forget about this whale over here! On the plus side, sort of, I'm still at work which means I'm getting more money than I would have...I'm desperately trying to look at the positives!

I'm still here too waiting with you guys! Currently sat at the doctors waiting to see the midwife hoping she will do sweep but not sure after speaking to a couple of friends they said she sent them to have there sweep at the hospital so I don't know!!
Sounds amazing about the reflexologist let us know how it is!!

So midwife was useless I went in she asked if I knew what a sweep was and I said yes thought I was having one today she said no she doesn't want to offer me one until Sunday when I'm a week overdue as its my first she wants my body to have more time. This would of been fine if I hadn't known numerous first time mums who have had her as their midwife and she's done it on there due date. I think because she was running late she wanted me in and out, so I now have to go to the hospital on Sunday to have a sweep! (If I can get an appointment when I ring at 9am on the Sunday)
She sisnt discuss induction I had to ask her and she said it would happen at 14days overdue if needed and then was like il listen to baby's heart beat and then u can go! I was so upset, got home rang my husband and now cannot stop crying!! I'm so ready for her to be out now!!
