i am not pregnant. well i dont think i am. but you know, uits entirely possible to do thing with a VAD in place

which leaves me in a pickle. MAP or not? i have never used it. never had reason to.

i dont know if i entirly belive in it.

but now isnt the right time for an accident. i know that and dh knows that. but the overwhealming feeling by both of us, is to leave it and wait and see. but i dont know if i can. the fall out would be massive. we'd get a ticking off by the health professionals and our families.

and then there is the practicalities, we'd need a bigger car. we'd eventually have to move.

argh.
tell me to be sensible.

and do tesco pharmancy sell the MAP?

misdee · 08/10/2006 15:54

whihc is why i took the MAP.

oh the romantic ideal, wouldnt it be wonderful side of me, wanted to throw the packet away and say no, i am not taking it. but the practical sensible no way am i having one side was stronger.

so was this the first time in 3 years?

were you nervous?

misdee · 08/10/2006 17:03

well dd3 was conceived over 2.5years ago, we had been trying since just after this time in 2003.

last time we had sex (without worrying about contraception as was pregnant) was about 2 years ago. we moved here when i was 3months gone.

it amkes for some very bizarre sex talk 'let me just make sure you are plugged in' 'are you ok'

did you beep? 'ouch'

Will we be reading about this in your Lifestory?

Blu · 09/10/2006 09:39

Misdee!

Glad you feel better this morning!
fwiw, I am an unromantic, unsentimental old spoilsport with an eye for the basic practicalities in life, and I would have said 'try MAP'.
Anyway, nice to know that the VAD gets Peter's heart working in all the right ways

misdee · 09/10/2006 09:40

no, this will not be blogged

Misdee,hi there.

DP and I recently had an accident with a condom.Though it was unlikely that I was pregnant.(Currently bf and no AF for 10 months) I took the MAP.It is compatible with bf as I checked with pharmacist.

Have not read all thread so dont know if you have taken MAP yet,but it is most effective within first 24 hrs but can be taken up to 72 hours after the deed!!!

It is possible to get it free of charge from chemist but they do ask loads of questions and you have to take it there and then.I think you can also buy it for about £25.

HTH.

misdee · 09/10/2006 10:08

i have taken it.

Sorry couldn't resist(-:

misdee · 09/10/2006 11:24

yes i saw it, and queen of quotes thread is also playing on my mind. if i start being sick at the end of next week like i did with my girls, then i will start to worry lol.

OP posts:
misdee · 16/10/2006 09:32

erm, i am feeling like i did when pregnant with all 3 girls. AF due around saturday. Could the surge in hormones from MAP be causing this?
