Hope nobody minds me starting a new thread, but the old one was taking forever to load.

Who is still waiting? It's just that the thread has been very quiet of late.

I am having this baby, the day afer tomorrow (c-section), when are the rest of you due. Sorry I can't remember

Hi all. Thanks for all your good wishes. The baby was born just before midnight last night. A boy, no name yet. 8lb 6oz - much bigger than expected !!!!Ended up with a ventous and small episiotomy so am a bit sore. Came home at 5pm tonight as i hate hospitals and have so much support and help at home. Will post the birth details later when its more comfortable to sit down!!!!

Lesley - I think everyone on Mums Net has been waiting with bated breath!! Well done you - bet you thought it was never coming out!!!! Hurray great news. BIG BOY!!!

Well done Lesley! Tips for coping with sitting down after episiotomy - get a rubber ring (seriously! I found it essential for feeding as any long spells sitting made me very sore!), also to help with the healing take Hypericum (homoepathic remedy) take it every hour or so for first few days. You can get a Calendula/Hypericum tincture which you can dab on or put a few drops in the bath. Also very lovely is Neals Yard Seaweed and Arnica bubble bath. Take care!

Great news Lesley. I had a ventouse + episiotomy with dd1, it all healed really quickly, hope yours does too.
