Oh Joosie, I am so very sorry Sad. I hope they can give you some answers in how to move forward. Look after yourself and make sure you get lots of tlc. Sending you massive hugs

I told my dm today.... wasn't planning on it. Just kind of spilled out over lunch. But I'm glad I did. A problem shared is a problem halved and all that.

Itscurtainsforyou · 03/06/2014 16:32

So sorry joosie.

TMI alert: I still have bleeding, it's red but sort of "end of period" blood, nothing like what i experienced last time, so still in limbo.

Thanks for all your messages of support ladies. I'll keep you updated over the next week and after that I'll keep poking my head in now and again and see what you are all up to.

Wishing you all posifrickintive vibes and lots of simple, easy, successful pregnancies xxx

CorporeSarnie · 03/06/2014 20:44

Joosie, so sad to hear your news, and that you are in limbo for another week. Take care of yourself and hope that the docs can give you some answers soon.
Congratulations to emki on baby Michael's arrival, what an eventful week you've had!

MabelMay · 03/06/2014 22:49

Joosie I'm so sorry. Thinking of you. Thanks

curtains fingers crossed for you. Hope it ends up being nothing to worry about.

Congratulations Emki!

Hi everyone else. As always I'm terribly far behind with everyone's news and find it near impossible to find the time to get on these threads, but hope you're all well. cake what a relief to see your happy ending! Hope the positive pregnancy and sticky bean continues that way.

I'm now nearly 18 weeks pregnancy and feeling no movement at all yet. Is this normal? I just can't remember. I've got two children already so you'd think I'd remember what's normal and what's not but my last successful pregnancy was 7 years ago. I'm pretty sure I was feeling both of them around now, but I don't even seem to be getting those rumbles... Had a scan two weeks ago and everything looked fine. Doctor also told me I had an anterior placenta which would make movements less obvious/easy to feel, so it may be that. Maybe I'm just being impatient. I'm just desperate to start getting those little flutters/rumbles for reassurance. When did those of you who are further along start to feel your bubs?

MMx

HopefulHamster · 04/06/2014 00:58

((joosie))

Congrats Emki!

MabelMay - I was worried about movement because 18 weeks all I could feel was gas that could possibly be baby but probably wasn't. I think it was more like 19 weeks I first felt something and I've got posteria placement so should feel it earlier than you anyway. I'm 22 weeks now and still pretty paranoid about movement. I've felt it every day for the last few days, but not consistently - ie not until lunchtime today and not every hour since. Erk! But I think it's only 24-28 weeksish that you start tracking regular movement anyway. Maybe...

Alb1 · 04/06/2014 02:52

Congratulations emki lovely news!

pg no we never did hear from stars hopefully shel catch up soon!

mabel I also have an anterior placenta and didn't feel any movement till after my 20 week scan so it's perfectly normal

joosie so sorry to hear your news, I hope you able to keep busy this next week waiting for your scan and that your getting lots of RL support

Alb1 · 04/06/2014 02:56

O and hopeful I still don't have regular movements now and I'm 27+3 I normally only feel 3 or 4 bouts of movement every day, so Nowere near the every hour they suggest you should feel movement, but I'm still told that that's perfectly normal tho why they say you should feel movement every hour, but then it's perfectly normal not to is beyond me

MabelMay · 04/06/2014 05:12

Alb and hopeful - thanks so much for feedback - that's reassuring. I just can't remember what's normal, so it's good to know it's not unusual not to feel anything at this point. I'm aware I'm being a little impatient - I just feel the need for something to tell me that he's in there, and he's okay. But you're right hopeful, in a way it's just as worrying once the movements start as then you get into the whole paranoid monitoring phase.
Alb I don't think I ever felt movement every hour with my other two. In fact I remember whole days going past right towards the end of my pgs where I'd feel nothing at all. But then again, I wasn't a worried ex-MCer then so I wasn't paying as much attention..

CallingAllEngels · 04/06/2014 06:23

joosie I'm so sorry to hear your news.

Congratulations emki

MrsGiraffe12 · 04/06/2014 06:28

Joosie I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope the support in RL carries on and that you get some answers regarding fibroids soon. For what it's worth also, I had ERPC after my mmc and am glad I did. Thinking of you.

curtains what a scary time for you. I know it's easy to say but please try not to worry

Congratulations Emki another gorgeous thread baby :-) and a fab weight too! This means I'm number 9 (or less depending on news from stars) eeeeek!

mable I too have an anterior placenta, I had very light flutters at about 18 weeks that could have easily been gas if I didn't know what they were. Now at 26 weeks I definitely feel movement but it's not as often or as well known as DS who had a posterior placenta. Midwife tells me this is normal so do try not to worry!!

As for me, no news is good news, but do have the midwife on Friday re: my weekly BP check etc. all of a sudden have developed a big thirst and 6 pints of water in 6 hours last night didn't quench it so must mention that.

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

Gwlondon · 04/06/2014 07:51

I am so sorry joosiewoosie. A big hug from me.

Congratulations emki! I hope you are recovering well.

Alb I'm at 25 and my (experienced) MW said some women still feel flutters at 25 weeks! It must vary a lot so I wouldn't worry if you're getting movement, you're getting movement. :) Mine is a little kicker but though she is strong enough to kick not flutter, she is also so small that her kicks don't always connect: when a doppler or scan is used, you can see/hear the movement clearly it just doesn't touch the bump!
Mabel On NCT and MN weekly emails, they say many women only just start feeling things 19-22 weeks, regardless of placenta. Many do earlier, and they don't tend to worry till after 24 weeks. :)

MrsG hope the thirst reduces and isn't a symptom of anything bar pregnancy!

Vain me me me preggo rage moment. Sent a nice dress to a friend on FB with a comment about "I'd buy it myself if not for bump". Someone randomly then 'helpfully' (i.e. patronisinly) comments "you won't fit into it after you've had kids either, accept it" etc'. Hmm Nice. Thanks. I'm no crash dieter but presumably if I go up a size or 2 I buy the next size up not resort to Homer Simpson's MooMoo Dress ...

OP posts:
Seasides · 04/06/2014 09:36

Shock squiz how rude!! Sounds like a bitter failed dieter to me...9 months for the weight to come on, 9 months for it to come off, that's what I've heard. Of course bodies change shape, but there's no call for that kind of comment!

I'm 12 weeks today, yay! Feels like a bit of a dud milestone until my scan on Monday is over though. We're planning to go for lobster and chips by the sea afterwards if all is well to celebrate Grin .

amicablemoomin · 04/06/2014 11:06

sounds to me like she is talking about herself squiz

I've suddenly started getting headaches (now 11+2) - seem to have had one every day for the last few days.....is this normal? I had headaches at the start of my last but on this one I've not had any up till now......

MrsGiraffe12 · 04/06/2014 11:49

moomin headaches can be normal but also a sign of dehydration / blood pressure issues etc so do mention it at your next appointment if your worried xx

Penguinita · 04/06/2014 12:22

Congratulations emki on the birth of little Michael! I've been checking in every now and then for news from my due date buddy, in the end we were only 48 hours apart Smile I love the name. He was very keen to come out once he made his mind up!

Elanor is a week old now, as a first time mum it has been a totally crazy roller coaster of emotion and learning how to do all the baby things for the first time, as well as getting to know her and her personality whilst recovering from labour. I'm shattered but absolutely loving it, one look at her little face makes it all worthwhile.

Good luck to all of you, will keep an eye on the thread for news xxx

NerdyBird · 04/06/2014 13:05

Just catching up.

joosie sorry you're having the bleeding, I do hope your doctors can find a way forward for you. I know there are a few others waiting for scans too, fingers crossed for you.

congrats emki on arrival of baby Michael.

I am beginning to feel a little bit of genuine posifrickingtivity. At the end of this week I'll have 6 weeks to go and baby seems ok. At MW appointment yesterday they couldn't determine the position so I'm to have an extra scan at 36 weeks to check. A few days ago I got the first weird bump shape where you could see a little mound poking up out of my bump. Don't know if it was a foot, fist or something else but it was good to see!
I might be brave enough to add myself to the stats list soon!
