I had a little bit of brown blood before I went to bed last night but just went to the toilet and there is quite a lot of bright red blood - I have a crampy tummy too. I am about 7 weeks pg. It is not looking good is it.

have you managed to get hold of the hospital yet?

schneebly · 18/08/2006 19:11

Thank you to everyone who has posted - I managed to talk to a midwife eventually and she is pretty sure I am miscarrying but I will need to wait until next week for a definitive answer as their scanning equipment is so poor. Instead I will have a blood test on monday and another on wednesday to find out if my hormeone levels are dropping.

WigWamBam · 18/08/2006 19:19

Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry. How awful that you have to wait so long.

Will be thinking of you xx

schneebly · 18/08/2006 19:22

They didn't take blood today because they have to send it away for analysis and no-one is there at the weekends. Sometimes living in the country isn't so great.

schneebly - so sorry to hear that the mw was not too hopeful
thinking of you xxx

Northerner · 18/08/2006 20:11

Schneebs how are you feeling? I had a miscarriage in April, started bleeding on Easter Sunday and they couldn't scan me till Monday IIRC, the waiting is awful. You're brain tells you it's a M/C, yet your heart is praying for some sort of mistake and when they do scan it will all be OK.

Look after yourself, rest and let us know hoe you get on.

saadia · 18/08/2006 20:14

so sorry to hear that, it's just gutting to be in this situation. I had an early m\c before getting pg with ds1 and know how sad it is.

wheelybug · 18/08/2006 20:15

sorry to hear this - I went through this 3 weeks ago and even though I live in London I still had to wait a few days to find out for definite that I had had a m/c. Tbh, I really think the worst part was the time between it all starting and when I found out for sure.

I hope things do turn around and are ok. Keep posting - I found MN an invaluable support at the time.

Thinking of you.

doobydoo · 18/08/2006 20:35
