After 10 years of fertility treatments, countless failed IVF cyclces and four heartbreaking miscarriages (all at around five weeks), my brother phoned me tonight to tell me that he was sitting on his sofa looking at a scan picture of a little tiny being with a strong heartbeat at seven weeks! Its early days but all the signs are good and this is the furthest they have ever come. I am just sending a heartfelt plea for all of you, whatever your beliefs, to send a little prayer or positive thought that this little baby makes it. I really really believe it makes a difference. We've been praying hard ever since the IVF cycle and I dreamt they had a little girl! They will be wonderful parents. So please send a thought of strength and life and hope and love and whatever else to help this most precious little person make it safely into the world.
thanks with the biggest lump in my throat xx

all the very best, keeping fingers, toes and all else that's possible to cross crossed. Positive thinking and tell them to stay strong.

What a lucky Bigger Little Bean he/she is to have an auntie like you Melbournemum. (I think you have the godmother gig stitched up, by the way!) To know that there are so many people all around the world cheering Bigger Little Bean on is truly heart-melting, and I am just one more who has cried in happiness and triumph on hearing the little one's progress. Just a quick thanks Melbournemum for helping me to appreciate my little one (who has more love than you can possibly imagine) even more. Your Bigger Little Bean has touched us all more than you could know.
Love to you all, Cufren (also a Melbourne Mum) xxxxxxx

melbournemum · 30/11/2006 11:25

Evening everybody, cufren thank you for your beautiful message, it made me all teary in a way only mumsnet can! 9where are you in Melbourne?) and regular BLB Aunties and special friends thank you for you support and goregous messages and love as ever.
BLB's mummy was sooooooooooo tempted to log on and read the thread the other day (she wants to save it for when BLB arrives ) I often send her individual posts just so they know how many people out there are loving their Bigger than ever Little Bean. She decided not to though and I've been saving it along the way and will print out every post and put the thread in a book for them to keep. Its such a special and beautiful gift from you all.
We are on holidays which is why I've been a rather neglectful mumsnetter! All is well in the land of BLB and the monthly scan should be happening any day now so I will send a report on the cheeky monkey's behaviour this time!

Lots of love from us
xxxxx

Hello
i am 28 weeeks pregnant with my first. I had an early bleed at 14 weeks and i was terrified i was going to lose him. Wasn't really bonded before then, but the thought of losing him was horrible. Now he kicks and wriggles and is really responsive everyday. Your thread made me cry. Glad everything is going well for Melbournemum and baby and that there are so many loving, supportive people out there. I love being pregnant it's really facinating and exciting and i am looking forward to the birth painful or otherwise. What will be will be. Take care all xx

Sam72 · 05/12/2006 13:47

correction Melbournemum's brother's partner.

see i can read things properly when i try, even though i can't remember things at the moment.

I went home at 4.40pm last Thursday because i had read the clock wrong and thought it was 5.40pm! I said good night to people and no one stopped me. I thought the roads were quiet. lol

melbournemum · 07/12/2006 11:20

evening everyone. Its a balmy night here on Grandma and Poppy's farm in Northern NSW Australia. DS's and I are on holiday and they are just loving running about in the county sunshine.
All is very well in the land of our precious BLB. Another scan next week. SIL says that she and db could spend all day watching and feeling BLB's kicks and wiggles. Its just such a magic thing for them to feel this little life growing and responding and moving under their hands (and being cheeky!). They are SO in love already! They are Sydneymummyanddaddy. A little too far to see them as much as we'd like but closer than we were in London! One of my sisters and I are going to go up early in the New Year for a girly weekend of mummy and baby shopping and gorgeousness.

Thank you, all of you, as ever for your messages, love, thoughts and prayers. I can feel them out there and I know my db and SIL can and most importantly, I know that they are strengthening this little baby and helping to bring him or her safely into their arms.

so much love from us xxxxxxx
