I'm a bit nervous about opening this thread as I've only foundt out I'm pregnant and anything can happen...anyway, due date 1st november, I still cant believe it.....
This is my second baby but I'm even more anxious about this pregnancy than first time round...I'd been wantind a 2nd baby for over a yera now, but dh wanted to wait longer, and now it's happened, but it wasn't planned at all!!!

We're both over the moon though, but trying to contain our happyness just in case....(easier said than done)

anyway, I fell better now, having shared this with you..

off to play with dd1 now!!!

collision - found some italian plain crackers - can't remember the brand - they are like a cracker called saltines ( in Aus) they were brilliant today - had little packs of them in my desk to sneak when I felt it was needed.

vivie · 29/03/2004 20:54

hi everyone
sickness has been pretty bad since I last posted and I've been needing at least 10 hours sleep a night and a nap at lunchtime to get through the day so not much time for mumsnet. This is much worse than with ds. Boobs are also sore and covered in yucky blue veins. I am NOT feeling very sexy right now.
Hope you're all feeling a bit better than me! The only thing that I've found to help the sickness is to make sure that I drink LOADS of water - like 2 pints as soon as I wake up then plenty more during the day. Banana muffins and Ritz crackers help a bit too.
Good luck tomorrow M2e.

eidsvold · 30/03/2004 15:19

vivie - i found some crackers -doriana (?) i think - italian slightly salted in little separate packs - brilliant for keeping the nausea at bay for me - found them in Tesco.. might be a change from Ritz sorry to hear about the sickness with you ....

vivie · 30/03/2004 20:56

Thanks eidsvold, I'll try to get to Tesco tomorrow. We must remember that we'll be 'blooming' before too long......

Have I missed anyone? I expect the next announcements will be for December babies so this may be the final Nov list.

How's everyone? I spotted a tiny bit yesterday, enough to send me into floods of tears. I was convinced I was having my third mc but it was only a tiny bit of blood and soon stopped. I have my scan tomorrow 1.30 and I am sh*tting it. Scans are usually bad news for me.

BTW, anyone getting indigestion and headaches?

collision · 30/03/2004 21:50

Bunny.....will be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope all goes well. Sorry to hear about the spotting but hopefully everything will be OK and the hosp will reassure you.

I laughed at the post on FF's birthday boy that you posted that you were in floods of tears!! Me too......must be PG hormones!!

bunny2 · 31/03/2004 09:47

These hormones Collision, I dont know what they are up to. Last time I was pg I had a really dirty dream about Tony Blair, this time it's Iain Duncan Smith on a park bench doggy style!! . Must be the hormones.

collision · 31/03/2004 12:20

grosssss! did u put him on thr 'wouldnt kick him out of bed' thread!! LOL all the best for today.

PandaBear · 31/03/2004 12:41

Bunny2 just wanted to wish you all the best for today. I hope this scan is great news for you and you can start to relax a bit and enjoy!! Let us know.

I'm doing well if a little nauseaous (even more so now I'm imagining IDS doggy style!!!!), and feeling knackered all the time. But I guess that's just the joys of pregnancy. I've got another scan coming up on Tuesday following on from the bleeding I had a couple of weekends ago, and I'm bricking it!!! I have convinced myself that everything is OK, so I'm now going to be really upset if they tell me otherwise. I should have stayed on the side of caution and not let myself get too excited yet. Oh well, we'll see.

BTW my EDD has been calculated as 12th Nov due to a slightly longer than normal cycle

jellycat · 31/03/2004 13:05

bunny, you'll be going in in half an hour...hope it goes well. LOL at IDS. I've been having lots of vivid dreams as well, but nothing like that (last night's was that someone ran into the back of my car and then drove off without leaving me their details and the car was a write-off. I was very glad to wake up and find out it wasn't real).

BTW, webmum said her due date was 1st Nov (for your list).

bunny2 · 31/03/2004 14:11

Thanks everyone. I got the time wrong for my scan, its 3.30. I am so flippin nervous, I have been in tears and want a cigarette I just feel uneasy about this.

Sorry I made your nausea worse Pandabear!

Twinkie · 31/03/2004 14:15

My best wishes that everything is fine at your scan Bunny - I am sure it is - please post as soon as you know. XXX

(Yuck at the thought of IDS on a park bench doggy style!!)

bunny2 · 31/03/2004 14:18

Thanks Twinkie (is your name really Tallulah? I love it). I'll post later. I'm 38 tomorrow and I have this awful vision of having a d&c on my birthday.

Mum2Ela · 31/03/2004 16:20

Hi everyone,

Bunny2 - hope everything has gone well - I am sure it has. Fingers and everything else crossed.

My scan we fine - thank goodness. Ickle heartbeat and everything! I am 8 weeks and 4 days today, so I have absolutely no idea what my EDD is from that? The midwife makes her nosey housecall tomorrow so no doubt she will enlighten me.

Well, am generally feeling crap at the mo. I get to about 2pm and flake out - just cannot move, not good with a toddler in tow. Feel sick in the evennings and boobs reaaly hurt.

DH doesn't know what has hit him - going from shagging every day to nothing at all - really have no sex drive at mo (tho it doesn't bother me).

x

Twinkie · 31/03/2004 16:27

No its not reallt Tallulah!! I have a verty boring name really!!

Glad you feel better M2T and are reassured about everything - it's crap feeling so tired isn't it - I am sitting here really upset about summoning up the energy to leave my desk and go and get DD and get her bathed and fed and everything else I just don;t have the energy and I seem to keep crying about everything - and DP is going out tonight not social but work and I so need him tonight I just fel crap - sorry bit hormonal I think - will go home now and pull myself together!!

Promise X Twinkie

jellycat · 31/03/2004 17:05

bunny, I came on to see if you were back with any news - fingers still crossed that you had a lovely day-before-birthday present.

M2E, glad your scan went well. If you are 8 weeks and 4 days that makes you about 2 weeks and 5 days ahead of me, so I reckon you are due about 7th Nov.

bunny2 · 31/03/2004 20:52

Hi, they found a heartbeat . I am well chuffed but dreading the next scan in 2 weeks time. As my miscarriages happened between 8 and 10 weeks, they are going to be really scarey scans, I will need sedating I'm sure.

M2E, good to hear you scan was fine too.

Twinkie, it's the hormones, I get upset easily too and feel a bit helpless. Hope you are feeling better. xx

Jellycat, are you getting a scan?

jellycat · 31/03/2004 21:07

Fab news bunny ! So relieved for you - so far so good. I kept checking on here for news!

I thought I'd wait for a couple more weeks for a scan, to be sure of getting a definite result. I've been trying to find somewhere that does them privately and I've found one place locally. I think it would cost about £65.

bunny2 · 31/03/2004 21:15

I think it is appalling that you have to pay but, if you can, for peace of mind I would.

handlemecarefully · 31/03/2004 21:18

Hi Bunny2,

I'm not stalking you I promise, but since learning you are pregnant I have popped in to this thread occasionally to see how you are getting on...

So pleased that your scan was positive news today!

PandaBear · 01/04/2004 08:40

Excellent news Bunny2 .... now you can relax and enjoy your birthday. Have a good one!!!!

jellycat · 01/04/2004 09:28

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUNNY!

bunny2 · 01/04/2004 11:18

thank you

How's everyone else?

vivie · 01/04/2004 13:34

Wonderful news m2e and bunny! Phew! I'm really pleased and happy for you both. And happy birthday bunny!
I have a dating scan after Easter to confirm but for now my date is 11 Nov. I 'm nervous about the scan too, but I have no real reason to worry - just that I'm pg and a hormonal bag of nerves.
I've been a bit less nauseous yesterday and today which is wonderful as ds has a tummy bug which is not life-threatening but very very messy. The washing machine hasn't stopped....
Take lots of care everyone x
