Yes I have finally started this thread. A bit apprehensive though as I'm still getting period pains.

I have worked out that baby number 2 should be due on 7 August.

Anyone else joining me??

Sibble - I felt SOOOO sick yesterday all day I just felt like I was going to barf everywhere! However, today I feel fine.

I take antihistamines for a Urticaria and the ones that were prescribed for during pregnancy are also used to combat Nausea. I took one last night (they are also a sedative!!) and that's why I though I felt fine when I woke up, oh and I also had a cup of Earl Grey with a wee bit sugar. I thought that perhaps they tablets were still in my system. But thats now 10am and I still feel fine!

One part of me thinks OH WOW, I've found a way to make the morning sickness go away.... and another part is saying OH GOD what if something's wrong!

Its going to be a looooooong 6wks until my scan.

Every night I think - thank God I have lasted another day and every day is turning out to be so different. Problem is DS is nearly 4 and cannot remember last time. Having had no symptoms yesterday and convincing myself that this is the slippery slope down today feel as sick and sick can be. Don't know which is worse - feeling sick or not and worrying. Havn't said anything at work but think they may start to guess soon at this rate - yesterday by 1pm I was as white as a ghost and could have fallen asleep at my desk given half the chance. My sister's friend said - "you look really ill are you sure you are not pregnant"!! felt really bad but said - no don't think so...will give it until after Chirstimas then if still pregnant tell her I think. Other tell tale signs - was runinng training day on meningitis in babies for the nurses and had to leave during one of the talks because crying so much (have seen and heard ita all before) cried all the way through DS's christmas concert last week, the video is quite funny with me sobbing in the background and Dh saying - "shut up you silly cow I can't hear it" (alf garnett springs to mind) Hopefully will have had at least one of my scans soon. Once I see the heartbeat I will be happier.

It is a bit weird with the time difference chatting to everybody - have a good day tomorrow. Soon I may be on line at the same time as you as am having trouble sleeping - thought about logging on last night but DH thinks have gone mad enough already.

More good news my brother and SIL are coming over in Aug when baby is due. Very excited my first visitors and my best friend for November to help me (think very big smileys)....

oliveoil · 11/12/2003 09:12

Oh, poor you sibble . It's a shame you're not on our time, you could have a good natter online! Hope you feel better soon. I haven't had any symptoms yet but I didn't last time either so am not toooooo worried.

Not sure when to tell work myself. Have got a slinky wrap dress for our Xmas work do and it won't hide my tum if it starts to bulge.

Know what you mean about being weepy as well. I have also been VERY irritable and could have punched all the shoppers getting in my way yesterday.

M2T · 11/12/2003 09:18

Sibble ME TOO! Wow! Complained yesterday that I felt fine and now today I feel really naff again.
Up and Down, Up and Down!!!

Irritable? Oh yes!
DH sat next to me last night to tickle my back ( i LOVE getting my back tickled!!). After about 2mins I had to tell him to bugger off..... he was doing my nut it, twitching, sniffing, tickling the wrong place (Eh?!)! Poor soul.

Emotional? Oh GOD yes! Can't read a baby book without blubbering.

That horrid NSPCC tv ad as well sets me off 'the only thing welcoming *** tonight is anger and abuse etc' The little girl at the end looks like dd and it always sets me off.

M2T · 11/12/2003 09:26

Oh yes! Tha one where the little boy is standing in a filthy cot with an empty bottle saying "mama". That sets me off big time.

Getting weepy now

PROBLEM! A woman at work has just announced she is 6.5 months pg and the woman I work with has said 'oh god, are you as well?'. I just did a forced laugh and started loudly congratulating the first woman. Am no actress so probably had neon sign on forehead saying 'AM DUE AUGUST 19TH'.

sibble · 11/12/2003 18:21

Seems we are all normal then!!!

Had appointment with the GP yesterday who dated me at 10th August - have appointment for nuchal fold scan on 27th Jan and am still waiting for other scan appointment. Am now on the hunt for a midwife. Wasn't going to bother with all this so soon but it takes my mind of the sickness. had to take plastic bags in the car yesterday when i took DS swimming lessons. Am going to start a thread about acupuncture and nausea as had it last time and didn't feel sick at all, it stopped instantly but then had m/c so can't get out of my mind that the acupuncture caused it or I didn't feel pregnant because it wasn't going to last... Am really tempted to have it again but would kick myself if it all went wrong again. What do you think?

quackers · 12/12/2003 08:52

ROFL m2T!!!!! I'm just like that, if there's breathing too heavy or burping too much, I get relly impatient!!! I can talk though, I'm belching like a trooper at the moment - is that just me......... anyone??????

M2T · 12/12/2003 08:57

Quackers - My poor DH gets that treatment everytime I have PMT! "WHy do you have to breathe so loudly, you sound like you've just ran a mile??" How silly and petty!!!

Feeling good again today, why aren't I SICK SICK SICK???

OP posts:
SpringChicken · 12/12/2003 09:24

M2T - If you are further gone than you think you are like someone suggested then maybe you have gone past the sicky stage!

I don't feel naseau's anymore - just when i don't eat for long periods of time - whereas up until about 2 weeks ago i felt sick from the minute i woke up until i went to sleep!

M2T · 12/12/2003 09:34

True Jems.... but I don't 'feel' like I'm further on. And my sickness didn't subside with ds until I was 13 wks! There is no way I'm that much further on. I think I'm 6 wks, but the Doc says I could be 8wks..... technically I should be wanting to barf all over the place! Perhaps I'm just lucky with this one.

I am SOOOOO impatient! I am just about climbing the walls at the thought of having to wait until the end of January (possibly longer!) for my scan!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

OP posts:
quackers · 12/12/2003 10:59

M2T, I don't feel sick every day! I have very few symptoms as you know! Some days I feel sick, today I'm ok. Good job, going for a big lunch! I think I'm going wiith the theory, the more pgcies you have the less symptoms!

quackers · 12/12/2003 11:00

BTW, you could always get a private scan or beg your Doc, say you really don't know your dates, then they should. It's tempting fate a little to say you've had bleeding, so don't advise that one!

M2T · 12/12/2003 11:03

Hi Quacks... the big 30 tomorrow.... eh?

I have thought about a private scan, but I think I might get one later on in pregnancy coz I think the hospital here only give you the 12 wk scan!!

My friend paid £140 for a private one at 20wks. They told her it was a girl and out popped a boy! >snigger
