Yes I have finally started this thread. A bit apprehensive though as I'm still getting period pains.

I have worked out that baby number 2 should be due on 7 August.

Anyone else joining me??

Names - yes. Ava if it's a girl. Maybe Alex if a boy?

M2T · 01/03/2004 12:20

Great news Podmog. DH and I have discussed names until we're sick of discussing them! I love Alice for a girl and Adam or Lewis for a boy..... DH doesn't like ANY of them!
We seem to both kind of like, Annabel for a girl and Sam or Daniel for a boy.... but I'm having niggling doubts now.

Dino - Yup...tried that.... I'm beginning to think I'm going to need some colonic irrigation! >ouch

M2T, my DD is called Annabelle - it means lovable and beautiful - and she lives up to it proud or what!!!

I'm really stuck this time for girls names, sorted the boys out but girls are tough!

SpringChicken · 01/03/2004 16:23

Afternoon everyone,

Sorry to jump in but heard you were talking about names so i thought i would give you all a laugh (Not mentioning any names Twinkie )
Only kidding!

DP and I have agreed on a definite boys name and definite girls name now - we have Finley Patrick ....... for a boy and Evie Lauren ....... for a girl. Haven't conciously said these are definite but we both love btoh of them and have liked them for months now without any other names coming close so it looks positive.

Waht about everyone else?

SpringChicken · 01/03/2004 16:25

I really like Harry as a name DP hates it though

M2T · 01/03/2004 16:26

It's a lovely name Quacks.... and we would shorten it to Annie after DH's Aunt who died last year. They were very close.

I was wondering why everyone seems to be choosing double names. My ds doesn't even have a middle name..... am I depriving him of something???

Quackers · 01/03/2004 16:36

Oh that's a lovely thought M2T, we call her all sorts! Belle, baby belle, rosie (her second name), when she's cheeky!!

Love your names BTW Jems!!

SpringChicken · 01/03/2004 16:38

Mine aren't double barrelled M2T - the second names would be middle names.
I personally don't see the point in double barrelled names - surely they will only get shortened anyway ?!?! Or wont they?

M2T sorry to hear about your bungupness (little giggle) my tips for what they are worth are
a) If taking iron supplements stop for a couple of days and see if things start to move on through!
b) do i recall (or am i deluded) that you're taking loads of gaviscon? again if you are try switching to Rennie duo
c) are you taking any other supplements that may have caused it?

Hope something helps you soon

wow loads of messages to read.

We are settled on Elliot for a boy and undecided for a girl Abbie and Caitlin favs right now.

I just can't seem to stop eating Creme Eggs right now!

tillymint · 01/03/2004 19:52

Hi
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I'm not due until 1st Sept, so am on Sept thread. However, I've just read that I have a high chance of an early birth 'cos I take prozac.

Might be joining you on the August 04 thread later this year...

littlerach · 01/03/2004 19:59

Popping in from July...Tom for a boy probably, Ava or Freya for a girl. Scan on Mon so will hopefully find out then!!!

Quackers · 01/03/2004 20:10

LOL sweetkitty!!! You still on the creme eggs!!! I have taken a break as I got an enormous box of posh chocs given to me at work today and have made a good attempt at the first layer

M2T · 02/03/2004 08:36

SC - Yeah that's what I mean.... are middle names necessary? My ds doesn't have one. I thought they were only used if the child was being christened/baptised? or have I totally got the wrong end of the stick...... mind you my brothers both have middle names and they were never going to be christened. Am I deprived?

whisper< my first name is a hyphenated one.

Stace - I'm not on any supplements at all and I've been drinking milk of magnesia and eating rennies like sweets. Don't want to be graphic, but I think things are on the move........

SpringChicken · 02/03/2004 09:33

Yep - definitely deprived M2T

M2T · 02/03/2004 10:07

.... or could that be depraved?

lovely names here, we are pretty certain about Sam for a boy but not too sure about a girl, i have decided on Madeleine (Maddy) but DH won't discuss grils names - 'no point it's a boy anyway'. Oh well we will know in about 2 weeks at my scan, he may have to get his thinking hat on!!
Have started on multivitamins for pregnant women, the sty, cracks in corner of lips and shopping trolleys under eyes were not exactly flattering.

oliveoil · 03/03/2004 14:05

I like madeline as well but dh doesn't. Typical. We did like Mary but have gone off that, ditto George and William, like Harry but dh't grandad is called Harry and has been disowned by the family so can't have that one.

Like Abigail as well. And Lauren.

My dd is called Grace Elizabeth and we only thought of that 2 weeks before she popped so we may be late choosers again.

M2T - I have the same prob as you at the mo....2 days now with nowt but bad tummy ache

M2T · 03/03/2004 14:16

OO - It's horrible isn't it. I swear this is what's aggravating my tail bone and pelvis. Maybe it's not SPD afterall. Only time will tell.

I love the name Abigail, but had a pet rat with that name a few years ago!
My ds was going to be called Dylan Thomas right up until the day before he was born. I was in hospital with high BP and 3 baby boys were born in 24 hrs and they were all called Dylan! So he is now Toby.

m2t sorry to hear you are still suffering and I've got a hyphenated first name too!

18 weeks today, have been away overnight on business and feeling knackered now. Tried to squeeze into business suit but now have indent on tummy from the buttom, think it's maternity clothes all the way from now on.

Pelvic pain still really bad have kind of got used to it though .

M2T · 03/03/2004 14:24

Sweetkitty - Yesterday the pains I had disappeared and I thought 'phew' it's not SPD..... but then I was standing for about half an hour cooking dinner and sure enough the the pain returned and got worse until I finally admitted defeat and went to bed.

Just hope the physio can't help. But that's not until the 29th March!

What happens if they sign me off work? How long will I get sick pay for. I've only worked here 8mths so will only get the government minimum.

M2T · 03/03/2004 14:34
