piffle {{{{{hugs}}}}}
i'm suprised the test would say bfn so soon, maybe it's faulty? you need to try to put you feet up and rest, does your dd tend to sleep her illnesses off? have you got somebody who could come and look after her whilst you rest? the pg symptons wearing off could all be in your head (not saying you're going crazy but it can be like a placebo affect). i hope everythings alright, i have my fingers crossed for you. the bleeding could just be a warning sign that you're over doing things so please put your feet up.

Piffle · 16/02/2006 09:20

I do feel crazy totally crazy.
I feel like a delusional fool blaming tests though.
I was so sure about the CB test lines as when pregnant with dd, I could never get a line on one! The lines were faint but definitely there and are still thre now.
Anyway must go and get dd dressed and medicined
Be back later
have email HK as well
Thanks you guys, sometimes this site is just everything to me as there is not one person in the world I know that I could talk to.
xxxxxxxx

FirstNikki · 16/02/2006 09:38

{{{hugs}}} to you piffle have everything crossed for you best of luck at the apt. xxxxx

diddle · 16/02/2006 09:43

Oh Piffle, you must be beside yourself with worry. Is this the time you would normally have AF? sometimes our bodies carry on for a month or two and some people bleed all through pregnancy.
The chances of having a false negative are much higher than a false positive, so don't give up hope, you're right to see the consultant and make sure they give you some answers, will you be alright, is there someone who can go with you?

There are so many reasons for bleeding during pregnancy, apart from miscarriage, there is still hope. Hope you don';t mind me asking, but have you lost anything significant or is it just normal blood?

Piffle · 16/02/2006 10:11

Nothing significant not heavy. Sorry if TMI
Started of smudgy, had some pink on wiping vaery pale on Monday, nothing since, had some staining this am and now some darker red spots.
I never had any bleeding with ds or dd and with the ctopic it was prune juice type and nothing like this
When I had my miscarriage it was very different too
I'm obsessing and I cannot help it.

spub · 16/02/2006 10:23

Piffle,
Of course you are worried and we all understand at least some of what is going on with you. Huge husa and here's hoping that all is ok. Could it be an implantation bleed?
Do you have a GP/hospital appointment?

Thinking of you.

wools · 16/02/2006 10:46

Thanks for all the welcomes everybody. Piffle, I am so sorry to hear about your bleeding - you must be out of your mind with worry. I hope that you have some reassurance after your appointment this afternoon. Thinking of you.

Gizmo · 16/02/2006 12:34

Oh Piffle, I am sorry. Do you have an EPU in easy reach? Maybe you could go and have a chat with them if there is one: it could be the quickest way of getting an answer.

I hope you get some answers very soon anyway.

jamiesam · 16/02/2006 15:18

Oh Piffle, I'm so sorry - I really really wish you've had good news at your consultants appt - you are quite specific that there's no pain and not much blood, that sounds kind of good. Thinking of you until you check in.

HellKat · 16/02/2006 15:25

Quick update on piffle.
She went but it's neither good news or bad news. They've basically said if the bleeding continues then it's probably a blighted ovum or early mc. If it stops, starts and stops etc, then she's to pop back next week for a scan.
She's gone for a well deserved rest.
I hate it when hospitals leave you in limbo.

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 15:28

did they do bloods to check her hcg levels?

FirstNikki · 16/02/2006 15:34

Thanks for the update HK, I hope piffle gets on ok from here on. Hope she has a good well deserved rest. - Piffle lots of {{{hugs}}}

HK - how have you been recently?

Arabica · 16/02/2006 15:37

Thinking of you, Piffle...big, big hug.

HellKat · 16/02/2006 15:41

You're very welcome!
Don't think they did bloods. Just left her to play a waiting game.

I'm great ta! Still got the last dregs of this virus lingering though (headache, achy etc) but apart from that pretty good!
x

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 15:52

can't get this out of my head evil parents! watch at your own risk! that's no joke.

diddle · 16/02/2006 16:33

Thanks Hellkat - next time you speak tell her we're all thinking holding her hand, and there with her. she's not alone. i hate it when they do that too, and we all kow they coudl so easily check. bloody hospitals.

slinkstah · 16/02/2006 17:20

diddle - 24 weeks today! congrats

22 weeks today for me and can't believe it's here already! cervix has held and i have no signs of any early labour, apart from contractions which are still strong but have been consistant since week 15 so i am not worrying about them too much. i am feeling really happy i have made 22 weeks but really sad about losing my last baby at 23 weeks- bringing it all back as last time i was 22 weeks pg i was in labour and it was the start of the worse time in my life, it was only 8 months ago

I told the kids i was pg last night, they are really excited and dd told me i must eat healthy and rest and ds told me he knows now that i have had sex lol

meetup in leicester then if everyones ok with that, when and where suggestions needed

FirstNikki · 16/02/2006 17:33

FirstNikki · 16/02/2006 20:08

Evening ladies..well...I get home this evening after a terrible day and I have been bleeding, not much but like the start of a period and some bright red. I having aching abdomen and back is feeling hot so I am very concerned that this is it again. If still bleeding tomorrow I will ring the dr and ask for an early scan.

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 20:14

nikki - {{{{{hugs}}}}} phone the hospital now, they might be able to offer you some help now. keep your feet up and rest. you've been stressing over your job so please stop worrying about all these things at the moment. you need to just concentrate on you and baby for now. i hope everything is alright, try to stay positive. have a relaxing bath with lots of bubble bath in and put some chilling music on. fingers crossed the bleeding stops. it's been a bad day on this thread, i wish you and piffle all the best of luck.

FirstNikki · 16/02/2006 20:21

thanks kk, dh got a friend just arrived so I am hiding upstairs cos i keep crying. Yes it hasn't been a rosy day as it. Last time I rang and they said couldn't do anything and its not bad enough for a&e yet. My dr is very good and if I call in the morning at 830 he will call me back and sort me out without going to the surgery. Just cant believe it is happening again about 5 or so days earlier than last time. I worry its something to do with the baby's heart cos I have a hole in mine.

cori · 16/02/2006 20:37

FirstNikki and Piffle, BIG HUGS>>>> hope your both OK.

After months of feeling fine, I seem to be getting a cold. Great. Last thing i need for work at the moment. Hmph.

Slink , Congratulations on getting to 22 weeks. Almost at your milestone, thats fantastic.

jamiesam · 16/02/2006 20:55

Piffle and FirstNikki - My fingers and everything else are crossed for you both. Sending you lots of love and best wishes.

kreamkrackers · 16/02/2006 21:09

nikki - i don't think it'll be anything to do with the heart. it might not be a mc, just some bleeding. couldn't your dh politily ask his friend to not be there tonight so he can look after you. please rest and try not to worry.
