lol arabica at shock absorbers!

Gizmo · 14/02/2006 17:12

Yeah, I did...she looked up from filling in her enormous form and said 'oh I don't think you need to worry about that - as long as you don't get dehydrated you should be fine.' Which I'm sure is right, but of course it doesn't stop you worrying....

FirstNikki · 14/02/2006 17:15

oh glad you got a response from mw about it. but also understand why you would worry what with months of ms some people suffer from I am sure you and baby are fine

Arabica · 14/02/2006 21:11

shock absorber!

kreamkrackers · 15/02/2006 09:32

morning everyone. hope you're all having a good day. got dd's new physio coming to mine at 3 and when she asks have i been putting dd in the standing frame i don't think she'll like my answer. dd goes hysterical when she's in it, she's normally a lovely pleasant little girl but when she doesn't like something she lets everyone know. she can stand with me holding her hips (was told this was the best way of getting her to stand) for about 2 minutes now so we've been making our own progress with that.

FirstNikki · 15/02/2006 10:13

Morning ladies how are we all?

kk good luck with physio

Arabica - lol like the shocks - oh my

Had my first actual sickness today but seems to have passed. Lets hope it doesn't stay for long but reassuring I have been sick in a twisted sort of wait. well my milestone is getting nearer and I have everything crossed.

jamiesam · 15/02/2006 13:54

Piffle, thanks for the invite.

Can I join in, I have just (15 mins ago?) got my bfp!!!! I had early m/c just before christmas and really didn't expect anything so soon (but have nothing better to do with my money than waste on pg tests! Here's hoping I never need my last one.....)

I have two ds's, age 4.5 and 2.7 who are at nursery today.

Off to read rest of this thread (wish me luck, it looks very long)

kreamkrackers · 15/02/2006 14:04

congratulations

good luck, there's another thread as well as this one was only made on monday, that's really really long. also there's a stats thread you can leave all your details on.

Piffle · 15/02/2006 14:08

welcome jamiesam, there is also an oct06 antanatal club too

jamiesam · 15/02/2006 14:30

Everybody on here is so WELL. This is great!

Good luck with antenatal appt today Cori (I think, hope I got that right)

As dh is away, I shall have to tell him on phone tonight that I am pg. Hope he won't be disappointed that I didn't wait for him to come home this w/e before testing. Still, think he knows by now how impatient I am. Just been looking in my diary - entry at 7 weeks and 1 day last Dec 'this is just dragging on now' lol.

wools · 15/02/2006 15:21

Hello everyone,
Can I join please. I had my BFP over a week ago but due to my 2 previous miscarriages I felt too nervous to say anything in case I jinxed it. Congratulations Jamiesam - I am so pleased for you, I remember you from another thread - I miscarried just before you and like you cannot believe this is really happening - I keep thinking I must be imagining it. I have 2 DS - 2.6 and 7months.

FirstNikki · 15/02/2006 15:31

Congratulations Jamiesam and Wools on your bfp's! and a big welcome to the thread we are a friendly bunch.

Wishing everyone a full and health pg!

Piffle · 15/02/2006 15:34

HellKat · 15/02/2006 16:07

Hiya all.
Welcome Jamiesam!!! Congrats!!!! So nice to see more people joining! (Fertility gods must be working overtime lol).

cori · 15/02/2006 16:11

Hi and welcome to the newcomers. It is certainly getting busy on here.
Well I had my scan and antenatal appointment. Babies growth is right on average, my dates remain the same. They are estimating the baby weighs 2 pouds 14 ounces at the moment. Which puts him in the 50th perecentile (just like DS). That means baby is going to put on another 5lbs in the next three months in order to get to average birth weight. I am going to get HUGE, and am already pretty big.

I mentioned my cramping pain to the consultant and as expected she said it is probably due to ligament stretching etc. said she will refer to a physio if it gets too bad.
Another appointment next week for anti D and blood tests.
Two more weeks til my maternity leave starts. Yey!!!!

FirstNikki · 15/02/2006 16:11

Thinks its that new year new beginning hk

FirstNikki · 15/02/2006 16:14

glad scan and apt went well cori...wow 2wks then you are on mat leave that must feel great.

cori · 15/02/2006 16:23

Yes I cant wait, I can start to get my flat in order, sort and wash the baby clothes and feel confident buying any baby stuff we need.
When i stop working I will be 31 weeks, but have 3 weeks A/L that needs to be taken so offically start M/L at 34 weeks.

Congratulations Cori and welcome to new thread members!

spub · 15/02/2006 20:05

Hey jamies and wools - great to se you both on here.
Cori - 2 weeks of work left. So fab!
I had my 20 week scan today and all is well. Found out that this is most definitely a boy!!
Delighted just that the baby seems fine and all looks as it should but I'm pleased that I'll have a son as well as a daughter!
Hope you're all hanging in there!

jamiesam · 15/02/2006 21:26

Hi all, and thanks for the warm welcomes

Hey, wools, congratulations, that's great.

Cori - lovely news about your antenatal appt. But what are you going to do with yourself when your start maternity leave - surely you'll be bored lol.

Hi spub, great news about your scan, wow, 20 weeks.

Piffle · 16/02/2006 09:04

I'm checking in early with not so great news
Have some bleeding, just like a normal period, no cramping, very weird, all preg symptoms have just gone, no breast tenderness, no tiredness, nothing
Also did senstive hcg and negative so am expecting the consultant to tell me
a) I dreamed being pregnant and 3 clearblue tests were taking the michael
b) I'm miscarrying - but its not like when I actually did miscarry - the bleeding then was so sudden heavy and painful, but my tests were still +
c) god forbid its another bloody ectopic.
d) I'm still pregnant and will be fine, am just being paranoid and silly.
As you cna imagine am in total bits, dd ws up a lot in the night with her cough so am shattered and stressed.
I cannot see any positives at all
Dp is away til tomorrow night and I really need him, but at the same time cannot call him.
Sorry rambling on this so far really lucky thread
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
I'll let you all know later btw seeing consultant at 2pm.

HellKat · 16/02/2006 09:11

Piffle- {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} oh darlin'!
Hunny you know I had all this crap too for weeks. Everyone thought I was mc too. I've got to quickly nip into town in a mo but here's my email [email protected], if you want I can mail you and if you need someone I can call you? I won't be long. I should be back within an hour or so. Hang in there hunny. I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.
