Hi all,

I've had a really horrible day today Sad. I POAS at 5am but got another negative so that set me up for the day really. I was snapping horribly at my eldest ds, aged 8, before school. All day I've felt really sorry for myself wondering if I still have any symptoms at all. Felt quite emotional.

Decided to spend that bit extra & buy a first response to do in the morning. There's 2 tests in the pack so will have one for Friday.I'm now 15dpo.One positive thing is I spoke to my physio who prescribed me some medication & I'm weaning off it incase of being pg.She agreed that the meds could be affecting my urine. Also in the last few hrs I have begun to feel really yucky & nauseous. Never had that before.

Was thinking earlier that I'd just hide in the background for a while but now am feeling more positive for a bfp. Just hope it's tomorrow.I'm away for a long girly weekend on Friday so desperately want to know by then otherwise I'll be a right barrel of laughs!

Hope everyone else has had a better day. I sympathise with you widget, I have 3 children, ds aged 8, ds aged 5 & dd aged 2 & we weren't planning to have any more...I'm 42, no money, no energy etc. When I have days like today I do wonder how I would cope but at least if I knew the reason for feeling like this I could feel happier about it IYSWIM.

leaky · 21/09/2011 20:24

Just want to ask, Dozeyland if you were 5 wks on Monday how did you get EDD 21st? I thought mine said 29th & I was 5wks yesterday (Tues). My last AF started on the 17th Aug. Hope you don't mind me querying it Smile

CODwidow · 21/09/2011 20:35

Leaky maybe go to the docs as they'll give you a blood test which is more sensitive?

leaky · 21/09/2011 20:55

Thanx Cod, I was thinking I'll wait a few more days. I know exactly when I ovulated & usually come on around cd34. Now only on cd36 but because of so many symptoms & 15dpo thought I'd have got a bfp by now. Fx for next 2 days Smile

CODwidow · 21/09/2011 21:42

Told my mil tonight, she seems v.happy, well done to everyone that can keep it a secret because I am rubbish!Blush

Enfyshedd · 22/09/2011 06:31

Got a postive test yesterday morning - off to docs for confirmation today. Going by date of LMP, I'm looking at 24/5/12.

It'll be my 1st (I'm 29) & DP's 3rd (he's 50 and his DSs are 12 & 5 and live with us)

Told my mum yesterday morning - first reaction "Oh s**t", then wailing "I'm too young to be a grandmother!".

Also told one of my managers in work yesterday (the other's on hols at the mo) - she's being fab and started giving me some advice about time for appointments, but I need to go through the company maternity policy. Probably one to print out and read at leisure...

Dozeyland · 22/09/2011 09:36

Leaky. My lmp is 15 aug. And looked this up in pregnancy book. And it said edd 21/22 may x

Hello, can I join?

My EDD is 29th May and I already have one DC who is 17 months

Can't believe I'm pregnant again! Am slightly scared of next week as I will be between 5-6 weeks and thats when the sickness kicked in the last time.

leaky · 22/09/2011 13:57

Hi everyone, just popped in to say goodbye Smile

Did another test this a.m but still negative even though I spent last night feeling really nauseous. Then after the test I got a bit of abdominal pain & a stitch like feeling on the right (thinking eptopic, not normal such a worrier!). Both of these only lasted minutes though. If I dug deep (sorry tmi) I also got a tiny bit of pink cm.Still confused, knowing people get spotting.

Anyway I decided I needed to see the dr this morning & he was very sympathetic. He did a blood test for me so I'll get the results tomorrow but said it's very unlikely I am pg. Think he's right & think my AF is on it's way now which I'm more than happy about. If I was pg we'd cope but to not be pg makes life a whole lot easier. I can't believe how my body could do that though. I had very real symptoms from the word go,stronger than I've had in my 3 previous pg's, no wonder I've been confused. Now I can completely relax & enjoy my girly weekend away tomorrow.....unless blood test does say I'm pg Grin Grin

So sorry for joining your thread, still feel like a fraud, getting ahead of myself. Never taking that chance again, I love babies but can not cope with the 2ww+.

Happy pregnancies to you all Smile

Lmp 15 aug. How many weeks am I then???

I calculate 5/ 12 is that right?!

OP posts:
MarKettle · 22/09/2011 16:18

Dozeyland, if your lmp was Monday 15th August, it would've made you 5 weeks on Monday 19th Sept - so EDD of 22nd May if your cycle is usually 28 days in length.

leaky, at least the blood test will let you know either way!

and congratulations to Enfyshedd and Sandydunes

MarKettle · 22/09/2011 16:20

Sorry, 21st of May

Dozeyland · 22/09/2011 16:46

Yeah so I was right, I was 5weeks on monday! I thought I wasn't going barmy! :)

Hi all :)

First post and first baby, eek!!!! Found out at the weekend that I'm 5 weeks pg, is unplanned but welcome. Rubbish timing though as am getting married at the end of of October, hen weekend is next weekend... and I have a dress I wanted to slim down further for. Have had to tell a few people as have to radically change plans now. Doctor has advised me that surfing is probably a bad idea, a weeks boot camp is apparently also out of the question!!!

Am 39 and desperate for this to go well, worrying about every twinge. Worried that I don't have morning sickness as I've read it's a good sign you won't miscarry. Have been having period like pains today which I believe is quite normal.

I still can't believe this is happening to me. Bought about 3 different pg test kits on monday because I wanted to be sure, couldn't believe my eyes after the first positive result. Now I wish these weeks would hurry along so I can have a check up and confirm this is real. I do hope so... especially as I'll have a booze free hen & wedding ;)

Fingers crossed I'll still be chatting happily on here about my new arrival in nine months. Hoping all goes well for you guys.

:)

Dozeyland · 23/09/2011 08:03

I keep getting aches near my right ovary, or that area. :s

Nearly 6 weeks...

Hormones are all over. Fed up of being a moody cow, and being snappy to my dp and telling dd off when if I wasn't
Preg and hormonal I'm relaxed about things. Make it fun. Now I'm just moody and just allowing myself to get stressed
For nothing. This baby is a blessing to us but I can't help but feel if I wasn't preg, poor dd wouldn't be getting told off for the littlest thing

Cried lots and its only 8am.

Hi all, mind if I join? Think my due date is 21st may... Xxx

alwaysanauntie · 23/09/2011 09:02

I'm just sooo tired this morning...

Sorry to drag this out, but don't u date pg from 1st day of last period so for me was 30th so I'm 8 weeks on sat (i have 5-6 week cycle tho)? NHS site says due 17th May

alwaysanauntie · 23/09/2011 09:03

Sorry, should read 30th July...

CODwidow · 23/09/2011 09:29

Well mine was 10th aug meaning I'm 6weeks +2 with a due date of 16th may (so the online due date says)

CODwidow · 23/09/2011 09:37

Still no sickness which still feels totally strange and worrying but everything else seems ok so going to phone gp on mon and make appt with midwife

Alisonjayjay · 23/09/2011 09:45

Is anyone else feeling like crap with symptoms today? I feel awful even though me and DP are over the moon. I have tender, sore breasts, a headache, aching legs, really tired, feeling sick but also sooo hungry. When I try to eat I only manage a little and then have to stop eating because I feel nauseous and the smell of food/coffee/fruit juice is making me ill. The only thing that doesn't seem to affect me is water! I remember morning sickness with my DS but I don't remember it starting this early. Is anyone else feeling like this? I want to curl up in bed!

Alisonjayjay · 23/09/2011 09:47

I'm only 4 wks and 5 days preg by the way? Is it even possible to feel this sick so early on!!

MarKettle · 23/09/2011 10:05

Alisonjayjay, that is exactly how I felt at 4 weeks when I was pregnant with DS - I can't believe I feel different this time around. I'm 5 weeks today! Feel a bit queasy, but no sickness and haven't had any 'trigger smells' like coffee etc which really affected me last time.

alwaysanauntie, you're right in that your count from the first day of your LMP and that with a longer cycle it will give you a different due date to a 28 day cycle. Your EDD may well change though, after your first scan and they measure the baby they could adjust the due date to reflect the size of the foetus. For example, my EDD was 21st March with my DS, but when I had a scan at 11 weeks + 6 days they decided he was measuring as 12 weeks + 1 day and moved my EDD to 19th March and changed all the notes. However, as he was awkward he was delivered on the 12th March, anyway!

Welcome, Na7asha and Wommer. How's everyone feeling?

twittertotter · 23/09/2011 12:49

Please can I join.. a very very late arrival - have been lurking a few days as I was sure I was pregnancy but did a test on Tue which said not pregnant :-(
but today did another test and got my BFP!!!

Got a 2yr old DD so am over the moon
DD of 30th May.

Congrats to all on here...

Other than being a bit tired and pee-ing a-l-o-t I am feeling good. Didnt have sickness first time round so fingers crossed again this time. I did have OC with my last pregnancy though so amhoping not to get that again.

Am also bursting to tell someone - other then my DH!

Wommer · 23/09/2011 13:13

Hi all.... Need your help.... I work in the city and have just found out I've got a lunch next week with clients and colleagues.
Please can I have your very best "reasons that I'm not drinking"? There's a HUGE drinking culture in my line of work and it WILL be an issue!
Best I've come up with so far is antibiotics - which ties in nicely with the docs app on Monday - but if they ask what for I need something believable that they might not have known about....
Help.....
