milkyways is that you???!!!! 20 weeks? omg! :) :)

milkyways · 16/08/2011 20:19

Yes!! It's me!! And I've just stupidly got tears in my eyes answering that question! I can't quite believe it myself! Grin

owlbooty · 16/08/2011 20:42

Windiness - check
Being far too fecking hot ALL THE TIME - definitely check

Hypnobirthing - yep; the CD makes me fall asleep too, am looking forward to trying that one out during labour Grin

Owlet appearance - fail, sorry. We've been up at the hossie today for routine ctg/umbilical doppler thingy. Owlet surpassed himself by kicking off the ctg sensors twice and then repeatedly kicking off the doppler stick thingy too, but all is well so that is good. MW coming round for Rummage Number Three tomorrow am. I can barely contain my excitement. At this rate the entire community team will be comparing rummage notes. Dignity? All I need to do now is accidentally shit in a pool in front of two of them plus Mr Boots and I reckon we're done.

bigmacandhappymeal · 16/08/2011 20:47

Ah owl, I obviously want owlet to show up but heavens I will miss you once they do - you make me laugh so much!

milkyways - hurrah! I hope the days until the 22nd fly by for you... You'll be discussing your hairy bum and perineum with gay abandon in no time ;)

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 16/08/2011 20:51

owl well as long as you remember the seive all will be well!!

I am also always really really hot, and I am usually always cold. Always cold.

milky I can't believe how fast it's going, doesn't seem 5 minutes since the BFP. It is so nice to have ladies from the original buns thread doing well. We have a grads RMC thread in the mc section for the pregnant/grad originals such as me lunatic, frazzled, glittery. You should pop over and fill everyone in, they'll be thrilled to hear you're so far along :) :)

nickstermum · 16/08/2011 21:00

Just wanted to say a massive congrats to tigger on the safe arrival of two little boys;)

Hope they are both thriving and putting on weight as we speak x

cep · 16/08/2011 21:37

hi ladies, loving the chat over last few days, just been catching up.

tigger so many congrats to you, i hope both boys are doing well.

had to lol at the shiny a-hole. Can't really imagine asking dh to do this, but may just to see his reaction.

lara you are definately not on your own for the very unromantic dh. Infact i can easily get rather Envy at some of the things the ladies on here say their dh/oh has done. All mine does is wind me up.

yrmotb yay on 20 wks hope all goes well.

hairylights · 16/08/2011 22:58

PinkFondantFancy · 17/08/2011 09:26

Welcome milkyways!

hairy that is fantastic news, v v happy for you!! Grin

Am waiting for my anti-d.... :(

Youremindmeofthebabe · 17/08/2011 09:32

Ha, owl. Hopefully you will avoid the trio of indignation that comes with a male doctor having to stitch you up post partum whilst a midwife looks on, using an anglepoise lamp. Then also hopefully your DH will avoid trying to have a look under the pretext of checking if the baby is warm enough and nearly passing out due to the bloody scene he is greeted with. Although, I didn't feel a thing. Endorphins and local anaesthetic are both wonderful things.

hairy that's excellent news. I've only just started feeling this one over the last week or so. So far, it seems to be an early bird like t'other one.

bigmac I am going to try hypno-birthing this time, I think. And maybe anything else I can get my hands on. The last one was done with Gas and air only, but I quite fancy trying all the drugs this time so I can decide which i like betterGrin

Waves to all.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 17/08/2011 09:41

Just a quick pop in to say a huge woooohooo for hairy Its been a long old road hasn't it. So pleased everything going well :) :)

milkyways · 17/08/2011 12:21

Thank You everyone for all the welcomes and good lucks!!

coconuts Time does seem to be flying by! I have seen the grads RMC thread, but daren't open it yet! Will definitely pop in to say hello to everyone after my scan!

bigmac - Don't know about hairy bum (!) I can't twist that way easily anymore, but I'm definitely getting a hairy stomach! The hair is getting thicker around my belly button - so embarrassing!

hairy Congratulations on feeling movement! It's an amazing feeling :)

Daisybell1 · 17/08/2011 15:05

Hi all

Well I mentioned perineum massage to OH last night, and the look I got was priceless! Lara OH hasn't been near me for 12 weeks now, and when I suggested it as a way of getting baby out if overdue I got a flat refusal Sad. Am trying really hard not to take it personally but its difficult, I understand.

Can I add 'feet falling apart' to the glamorous list? I don't mean hurting and waddling, I mean skin peeling off - eugh. Oh, and boiling hot here too. Tis the extra blood, apparently. Oh, and also, is anyone choking on everything they drink . No? Just me then....

Tunnocks that sounds sooo lovely, what a great idea. I shall insist on doing something similar!

Waves hello to Milky - welcome to the home of all things glamorous!!!!

Hairy how gorgeous for you, that's lovely.

bigmacandhappymeal · 17/08/2011 16:23

Is anyone here on the antenatal thread for their due date (hope that makes sense)? I feel a bit nervous to go on the one for me and just wondered how you were finding them?

I've been such a pig today and now have bellyache from eating too much (default mode when stressed at work) when I don't have as much room in my tummy as I used to.

OP posts:
Daisybell1 · 17/08/2011 16:29

Bigmac, I'm not on the September thread, find it far too scary and think its probably too late to gatecrash join now...

Can I ask a growth chart question? I've noticed that the booking weight on my growth chart is 6kg too light. Is maternal weight factored into drawing up these charts and if so, are the measurements likely to be completely meaningless??? Confused

dooscooby · 17/08/2011 16:39

Hi everyone
Pleased to know I'm not the only one who is roasting hot and farty! The silent straw poll I did at pg yoga suggested otherwise, so it's good to know I'm not too weird!

I'm also having this constant hunger feeling that I'm now wondering whether it's actually hunger at all and perhaps it's indigestion?! Given no amount of food seems to cure it and also sometimes I feel so squidged up there, I can't really tell whether I'm hungry or not!

Big waves to milky and yrmotb - great to see you over here and best of the luck with the scans.

Re the DD forums - I'm not on the Dec one. I've lurked a bit, was too scared at first and now I just feel like I 'fit in' here and am happy and find the other ones a bit more scarey and like 'RL' (in that I feel a bit weird and like grim reaper if I don't assume bub will be just fine). Figured I didn't need anymore feeling weird about my pg moments but can see how they can be useful and perhaps make people positive cos most people are just fine!

bigmacandhappymeal · 17/08/2011 17:05

Thanks for DD responses - that's exactly how I feel. It feels very comfy and 'right' here but wanted to check whether I was missing out on something :)

Can't help with the growth chart question I'm afraid daisy Slightly beyond my simple brain this afternoon.

I'm in a sulk now as I thought we were off to the mama's and papa's store tonight to look at prams/nursery stuff but MrBigMac has changed his mind. Doesn't he realise not to antagonise the ball of farting hormonal unreasonableness that I have become me at the moment? It was a big step for me to feel able to go there. Grr.

OP posts:
hairylights · 17/08/2011 17:46

Thanks :)

cep · 17/08/2011 20:27

hairy congrats hon that's great news.

hiya blackkat how you doing hon?

bigmac i'm on the nov one, there was a few ladies who'd recently had mc's on there so was "nice" to not feel alone on there if you see what i mean, i might not have done if they hadn't said about the mc's.

lara i can beat you, when i asked mine about the perineum thing, first it was gumpily "if you wash down there first" then it was "don't see the point you're going to tear badly again anyway, and it'll hurt whatever you do" such a supportive person.

lia66 · 17/08/2011 20:46

Ladies, I have the unenviable task ofcoming here tonight with the unbelievably sad news that magicball passed away at home on Monday, leaving her loving husband, her 4 yr dd and her gorgeous spiderbabies behind.

There is a thread in chat if anyone would like to add to it, condolences and/or memories which we will be passing onto her family.

magic was much loved on here and will be sadly missed.

Perhaps someone would like to make her place in the list bold I think that would be nice.
