Tigger fantastic news, congrats Grin Grin

I'd started with cankles, but they seemed to have gone down in the cooler weather. Boots has some nice cooling gel, which is herbal and apparently ok for pg women

I've put on over 2 stone I think, I've stopped weighing myself Blush

Sorry I haven't been around much, welcome and congrats to the new joiners :)

I had a false start this week, bleeding and contractions. Hospital said if it didn't progress they were going to break my waters to get things moving. It all tailed off so after a short stay I'm back home! I'm just glad miniO is ok and obviously too comfy to come out Grin

Blackkat · 14/08/2011 22:30

Congratulations Tigger hope twin2 makes it out of SCBU soon. Smile
Sod the boxes, as Velvet suggests let someone else unpack them...

Orange glad you're home and miniO is ok.

PinkFondantFancy · 14/08/2011 22:55

Congratulations tigger!
owly I like the questions, have armed DH with them Grin
Glad things have calmed down orange-hopefully minio will stay put for another couple of weeks just to top off its cooking!

Freezingmyarseoff · 14/08/2011 23:27

Congratulations Tigger what brilliant news, so happy for you. Boxes, smoxes, you've just had twins Grin Grin

Emoo · 15/08/2011 06:37

Huge congratulations Tigger - what a surprise for you! Are you discharged from hosp yet? Is it far to come and go? I do hope little one does well with his feeding, growing and keeping warm, and gets home to you all very soon.

Love the lists of glamour! At least I am not the only one with piles, cankles and a husband who seems not to want to come near me Sad

PrettyVacant1 · 15/08/2011 06:39

Congratulations Tigger what a fab surprise, hope you are all settled soon and yes, leave those boxes Missus! X

PrettyVacant1 · 15/08/2011 06:53

Phone just went snooker loopy. Hmm
also glad to hear miniorange is deciding to stay put and not queue jumping.Grin

Oooooowwwwwl..........

Love the glamour list, check and indeed check on most here too.
I need hand cream or hand wash to remove my ring as my fingers have swelled.
They weren't that dainty to begin with either.
I painted my toe nails standing by putting my foot on a towel on the dining table, they will now be staying blue as I got quite strong branstons and cramp shortly after.

PinkFondantFancy · 15/08/2011 07:30

Hello all thought I'd have a stab at the list - don't be shy about correcting it if I've horsed it up though... There's a couple of dates that look a bit odd relative to each other.

CollieandPup · 15/08/2011 08:44

Ohhh tigger CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What lovely news to wake to on this gray and drab Monday morning! What a relief you have at least moved! Stuff the boxes, that's suddenly somone elses problem! Hope ds2 is put of scuba soon.

I'm asleep standing here. Spent weekend at FILs doing up vw van so a mixture of over doing it and not sleeping has left me absolutely knackered!!! Really can't be arsed with work today!

Will try and catch up later if I'm not a total zomibe by then

bigmacandhappymeal · 15/08/2011 08:45

Congratulations tigger and welcome to the world Charlie Brown and Snoopy Grin! That's amazing news. I hope everyone is home very soon... What a nice start to a Monday morning

OP posts:
LaraandLittleBean · 15/08/2011 08:53

A huge congrats, Tigger - as others have said, sod the boxes! Most important thing is that you take care of yourselves and that the babies are okay.

Any news on Owlet?

Daisybell1 · 15/08/2011 09:16

Woo Hoo, many many congrats Tigger! That's such lovely news for a Monday morning!!!!

owlbooty · 15/08/2011 10:21

Nope, still no Owlet; am now fully expecting to be queue-jumped by PV and Orange as well Grin

PV am liking the blue toenails; mine are currently pale pink but now I'm fancying a bit of turquoise action, I might have another bash at it. Or I might just sit on my arse today and eat cake. Choices, choices Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 15/08/2011 10:52

pretty you did what??? I'm assuming you were sitting down right? (have got images of impressive balancijf to get one foot up onto a dining room table!!!) But all the same, how did you manage to reach over?? I can just about reach if I put one foot on the bath but my time is running out.....

Also pretty how did you get in with your wedding ring? I managed to wrestle mine off but it was a complete mission involving lots of iced water and about a ton of hand cream!!!

PinkFondantFancy · 15/08/2011 10:53

owl eat cake, obviously!!

bigmacandhappymeal · 15/08/2011 11:44

A question for those of you who have kids already or for those of you that are just better prepared/read than me...

do I need to be doing something special with my perineum (sp?) Confused? I noted with interest on the weekend that mothercare sell a special oil for just that special place. Should I be lubing up already (on top of the twice daily full body anti-stretchmark oiling up that i do :) ) or can I rest easy?

Thanks for doing the list pink

bigmac first of all, just writing your name is making me REALLY want a bigmac!!!! Anyway..... My MW told me to start doing perineal massage at 34 weeks. I think you can use good quality olive or almond oil, dont think it has to be special oil.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 15/08/2011 11:56

mac Well they say massaging the perineum with olive oil is supposed to stop tearing. I never did it with DD and have asked MW this time round if I need to do it again, as I was cut last time so was worried my scar would be weaker and more likely to tear and she said no. So personally, I wouldn't bother. But if you really fancy having a shiny bumhole then go ahead Grin Grin

tunnocks what a weekend you've had. Can you just take the clippers to your DS and call that it?

PinkFondantFancy · 15/08/2011 11:57

YRMOTB have you got a scan coming up soon?

teacakes sorry to hear about your weekend, sounds v stressful! Is there anyway you can finish off DS's haircut or would he not have any of that? Hope you're having a more chilled out day at work!

LaraandLittleBean · 15/08/2011 12:07

Speaking of perineums / cuts / tears... my sister was apparently cut all the way from her fanjo to her bumhole last Tues (I can only take her word for it so please don't lynch me if she's wrong about the length of the cut which I suspect / hope might be a little inaccurate!) and it's now got infected. She can't sit down... owowowwowowwwwwwwwwww

Question for the second / third / timers... does your fanjo spring back into shape post-birth or are things, erm, looser down there.

Sorry to ask such a stupid question but I wondered. Can't ask anyone in RL.

Tunnocks - sorry your weekend was turbulent... Hope today at work will enable things to cool down at home.

I now want cake... Have any of you tried the divine Thorntons toffee cake (they sell it at Sainsbury, Waitrose, Tesco etc)? It has toffee buttercream on the inside and fudge pieces on the top. Well I want some NOW.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 15/08/2011 12:32

lara it gets there eventually, although I doubt it will ever be exactly the same. Although naughtily I didn't really do any pelvic floor exercises post birth. I definately will be doing some this time though. And unfortunately it is possible sister isn't exaggerating the size of cut, but don't worry, I think according to some figures that 30% of people tear a bit with their first and 10% with subsequent babies. And that includes teeny tiny tears that don't need stitches. I had a 2nd degree tear (including muscles) which in the general scheme of things wasn't too bad.

pink yes, I have my 20 week scan on friday at 11. Shit. Scary times.

tunnocks hope things are calmer now.

tigger massive congratulations to you! Hurrah.

PrettyVacant1 · 15/08/2011 12:52

Boots I'd choose cake. Grin

Pink Nope, I was standing. Grin
I'm double jointed so it was still just about possible to stand one legged with a kinda leg over shoulder manoeuvre.
DP walked in with a shocked/bemused look on his face, we agreed that him doing it would end badly for all concerned so he let me get on with it.

Tunnocks your weekend sounds stressful hope you're getting a break at work.

GrinGrin at Coconuts shiny bumhole suggestion.
Don't fancy it meself TBH, I did think that it was just giving the bit between your foof and bum a bit of a rub with oil every now and again but when I looked in to it and found out what it involved I decided although I'd have a go at the painting of toe nails this was one step too far.

Lara Mmmmmmmmm cake.
Never had a sweet tooth before diffedness.... now!
I went for a coffee the other day and nearly cried when the nice lady gave me a free surprise slice of sponge cake!!!
