I posted a message for you Susanmt - bloody well done!
Pupuce - my sister's baby was breech, but they managed to turn it. She was upset that she didn't go into labour then, she was hoping they might break her waters.

Thanks for all the advice, I will just try to take it day-by-day. I just wish I could curl up in a corner and not have to see anyone. I feel awful about not speaking to friends, but I really don't feel up to it. Dropping dd off at nursery every day is bad enough! Maybe by the end of the week I might be posting in the baby section, if not you'll see me on here again!

eefs · 10/12/2003 12:27

finally back on line - I had a baby boy last week, an accidental home birth as it happened so fast, but there were a few problems with the baby so we transferred to hospital for the last week.
Labour was fast but oh so painful - still I didn't tear and survived on my TENs machine alone, so I'm not compaining. Baby eef's is an absolute delight and I still don't believe that he's all mine
Congrat's susanmt,
Rhubarb - any news yet?

Rhubarb · 11/12/2003 11:10

It's started! Well done Eefs - wish mine would be that speedy! You must be very relieved and proud!
My waters broke at 5am with a show. Since then I've been having irregular contractions. Midwife showed up at 9am and said I was 2cm, so things are progressing slowly. I just hope it doesn't tail off and stop!
Positive vibes please that I get it over with today!

Still here! Contractions more spaced out now but a bit more intense. I've been running up and down the stairs to try and get them going a bit more! I think this might be a long wait so I just hope I'm up for it!
Will post again once baby is here. Thanks for the good luck wishes - keep 'em coming!

zippyb · 22/12/2003 19:15

Hello everyone - just a quick update - am going in for my c-section on 30th December - if I last until then - feeling very uncomfy & midwife convinced I am going to go before! Lovely to hear all the birth annoucements & I hope everyone is feeling well with their new little ones. Feeling very scared & anxious but know this baby has got to come out so trying to be relaxed! Still can't imagine myself as a mum of two - scary just having the one!

mistletoes · 22/12/2003 19:41

Hi Zippyb, it's just you and me now on Elliot's list. I've been visiting the Dec/Jan thread lately. Nice to know you have a scheduled date. I think I've been seeing some 'show' lately. Don't know what it means. Other than that, some discomfort, but nothing signficant. Good luck!

GlitterGrommit · 22/12/2003 20:17

Good Luck ZippyB!
