Things are going very well in the YB household at the mo, thanks! Coping better with two than I thought I would, just worried that everything is going to start going wrong soon and they will both start playing up! Although this has not stopped me thinking about number 3 Shock.

Can't wait to hear your news tomorrow Cadmum and Roms and Frizbe's very soon!

Cadmum · 01/03/2006 22:34

Guess who is in labour?!?!

Cadmum · 01/03/2006 22:46

Saw the consultant this afternoon after a contraction filled morning and she confirmed that I am 3 cm and stretchy... I will be so pleased if I can avoid the dreaded induction after all. Baby is still posterior but she could feel her head.

The interesting thing is that she measured my fundal height today (for the first time this whole pregnancy) Shock and got 36 cm so she also suspects that this LO is ickle. Will be interesting to see. I am quessing that it will be a girl weighing in at 6 lbs 2 oz. Wonder how very wrong I am?

I will get CadDad to post an announcement as soon as he is up to it. He has a bad cold and has been working 12-14 hours a day with the exception of our big shopping day yesterday.

I intend to stay in the hospital until they kick me out as this is my last baby and I raced out followiing the first two only to have them become horribly jaundices and had DS2 at home (which was LOVELY beyond words) only to spend weeks on end with him in hospital on IV anti-biotics so I will just stay put and take advantage of having my parents and DH to care for the other three while I chill out with baby.

nemo1977 · 01/03/2006 22:49

oh cadders how exciting...thinking of you...my guess is a girl weighing 6.13 and born the 2nd at 1.12am

Cadmum · 01/03/2006 22:53

Thanks Nemo!

I am home waiting for DH who is in a meeting until at least 6 pm and for my parents whose flight landed 13 minutes ago. Will head in once they are all here!

Cadmum · 01/03/2006 23:04

Oh my goodness! It has just dawned on me that I am actually going to have a baby!!!! Where in the heck has the last 38 1/2 weeks gone?

I could not have made it through the insanity without your support. Thank you all so much for being so supportive.

nemo1977 · 01/03/2006 23:12

lol cadders it does just sneak up on you doesnt it!! At least the baby has had perfect timing and waited for your parents.

Cadmum · 02/03/2006 01:53

It is 8:50 pm here. Dishes are done following the last meal I will cook for the next 16 days. All three children are bathed and in clean jammies about to hop into clean beds. My parents will be here for them if they wake in the night and DH will get to come with me to the hospital. I am practically over the moon. Wish the contractions didn't hurt my back so much...

If all goes to plan, I will have 4 children the next time I post.

Hope you are in labour too Friz.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 02/03/2006 09:12

Munz - glad you're out of hosp now - haven't read your story yet but will try to later.

So, who'll be next - Rom or Friz??

Still colicky in the Tabs household, so still severely lacking in sleep, but am spending today trying to sleep when Pippa does - if only she'd be sleepy enough to stop feeding for more than a few mins at a time!!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 02/03/2006 19:28

Rom, I'm trying, I'm trying!! have scoffed whole pineapple today during course of day, failing that MW is round to give sweep tomorrow am! something must surely work?

Bella23 · 03/03/2006 10:40

WOW so there should be some news from Cadmum soon? Can't wait to hear!

Ye ha 12 weeks today!!
Mind you instead of feeling relief am now becoming very nervous about my scan on Monday. Totally normal I know but had a good cry about it yesterday, hope that was hormonal as not like me to have such a large blubber unprompted!!

Friz - so must be any day now? Any thoughts?

Munz - hope you are feeling more human now and enjoying the LO.

Rom - not long to go now!

M&MB - looks like it will be just you and I left soon on our long road to 40 weeksShock

Frizbetheexpansionset · 03/03/2006 12:50

Thanks for asking Bella, here's the story so far today!!

Well midwife's been I'm 2cm dilated and sweep has been done, fingers x'd bump is out this weekend....if not I have to go to bloody hospital clinic on Monday, as they want to transfer me to consultant care, as they have no room to induce me next weekend, when they should be doing and now want to take extra care of me due to my bloody anemia.......which has been caused by their balls ups in the 1st place! (for those who don't know they messed up two blood samples/results in a row) so they may induce me early, but have to have a consultant to ok this (due to intervention often req'd on early inductions).......oh I really hope I pop this weekend now! This birth is turning into a farce...Shock

romilly · 03/03/2006 13:30

oh poor you friz - you are really being mucked around. keep going with the pineapple, rasp. leaf tea etc. you mentioned feeling really sick - well i am too, (just for a change ha ha) - is that an early sign of impending labour (she asks hopefully!)?

bella - congrats hon on 12 weeks!!!!!!!!!! i really feel for you stressing over the scan - i was such a bag of nerves until the end of mine, but it really is so wonderful, dont let the nerves completely overtake - it is one of those special moments in life. and we will all be following you and M&MB for the next 7/8 months so you will not be alone!

ooh i wonder how cadmum is getting on.....

Bella23 · 03/03/2006 13:45

Friz - right sending over labour vibes.......
"OI Bump - get a move on!" Grin

Rom - thanks, yes just think I am in need of reasurance at the moment. Can't wait to share my good news with you after the scan on Monday (ha do you hear that, me being positive!!Wink)

romilly · 03/03/2006 13:51

atta girl bella! Smile

munz · 03/03/2006 16:34

aww friz - I really hope things get moving for u - how r u coping? when I went into hospital at 2cm I was crying out for the gas/air, and every time they tried to take it away I was like a woman on the edge - talk about mega moods! lol.

rom - any news from u yet?

bella- I think what u're feeling is perfectly normal hon. fingers crossed for mondya for u, althou it was a good sign seeing the heart beat b4.
