Cadmum - bless, sorry to hear about all the stress. I hope all goes as you want it on Thursday, fingers crossed xx

Cadmum · 27/02/2006 14:52

Thanks for all the warm wishes. I cannot deny that I am a complete stress-case. I just cannotstay on top of anything except irrational worry. I suppose that it doesn't help that I seem unable to sleep as well. Oh, the joys of pregnancy insomnia. At least I know that this part is fairly standard for me but it does seem cruel that just as you are about to embark on months of sleepless nights with a newborn that your body decides to stop sleeping.

munz · 27/02/2006 16:04

Just a quick note as I sit here waiting for the movers... They booked a slot from 12-3 and I was hoping that they would be here before now....

Thankfully, it is REALLY, REALLY cold outside so I don't really mind being stuck indoors. I have backed down and allowed the children to watch a DVD while we wait. Can't imagine that I will feel like going out once I actually have a sofa to sit on this afternoon either so maybe I will declare this a TV day! Smile

How are you feeling Bella? MaMB?

Rom: Have you kicked off without telling us?

romilly · 27/02/2006 19:44

hi everyone and a special hi to munz! so glad you are home now honey. hope you are feeling better. and dont worry - huge boobs come with the territory, lol

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 19:56

Ooooh Rom bet your having fun seeing how to do your new home up Grin always worth checking out the online shops as well, often a bit less money (if your looking to save a bit of cash?)

Bella23 · 28/02/2006 09:35

Morning all ladies.
Yikes, read your birth story Munz and eyes nearly popping out from account of being given a "Cut" ....OUCH!!

Rom - hope you are not overdoing things trying to sort stuff out for the house, mind you choosing a new kitchen and bathroom sounds like my kinda fun!!

Cadmum - so you should have a sofa by now, woohoo!!

Friz - wow its amazingly worrying to hear that they can mess your blood results up twice!

M&MB - how are you feeling, still in shock?Grin

Well not a lot to report here, still sleeping soooo much its rediculous! Well actually my sleep seems to be only in periods of about 3 hours before I am up going for a wee. Is this just going to get worse or will this ease off?
Could quite happily sleep through this week and then get up next Monday and go for my scan!!

Well thinking all warm and cuddly thoughts about you all so hope you are all having good weeks so far. DQ and George - hugs to your both as well xx

MeAndMyBoy · 28/02/2006 10:58

Morning Ladies,

Crikey Munz that is a birth story and a half. I really hope that you are feeling a bit better just being at home. I had blood transfusions (same amount as you) after DS was born, and I felt absolutely bone deep tired as a result. You sound like you are doing really really well, which I am soooo pleased about, I was really traumatised by the blood transfusion, but if you need to vent at any point you know where we are.

Cadmum did they come, did they come? I really hope that you are tucked up asleep in a proper bed and that you got to veg out on your new sofa yesterday.

Friz how you doing? coffee and a gossip sounds a good plan.

Bella I'm good thanks - still feels very sureal, even though I'm posting on the due in Nov 06 thread feels abit like I'm pretending at the moment, but having said that i'm starting to feel sick both in the evenings (had that last time) and this morning too. Might be lack of food thought better go and get something to eat Grin chocolate anyone - I have green and blacks lol.

I was up at least once in the night during the first 12 weeks, that's what made me think that there was something up - after 5 nights in a row getting up to wee!! I did find that it got easier in the second trimester, felt pretty much my normal self during those 3 months, fingers crossed I do this time, we're in Portugal for some of it. So excited your scan is Monday, I hope it's come round as quickly for you as it has for me lol.

Hope everyone else is doing well and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Cadmum · 28/02/2006 12:33

We have furniture! I actually almost slept last night and the children are still tucked up in their 'big beds' as DS2 put it. They were all quite excited to have drawers for their clothes and shelves for their books and toys. Gosh! What was wrong with the ones I fashionned from boxes? I think that I really underestimated how stressful this has been for them as well.

We did all watch TV on the sofas for most of the evening. It was lovely!!! Off for another scan snd NST this morning followed by a day of shopping for groceries and the baby. (We don't even have a car seat since we haven't owned a car for the last 5 years...) DS2 was born at home but this LO will need to take a taxi home from the hospital.

Any news Friz?

Rom: When are you being induced? Has that little girl shifted herself? Still posterior and little here... induction planned for Thursday. I promise to do my best to come back with amazing positive stories of 45 minute painless labour followed by another 2 push delivery.

MeAndMyBoy · 28/02/2006 12:37

Woo hoo fantastic that you have furniture and that you are finally getting settled in your new home.

I hope that your scan and NST is all good news and that your shopping trip sucessful. Roll on Thursday :)

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 12:58

Whoooopppppeeeee great news re the furniture Cadmum, sooo nice for you, bet your loving it Grin I really hope you get the birth you've just described as well, you deserve a break after all you've been through recently Smile
from what I can gather most American hospitals like to epidural you asap? which I find a bit odd, as over here you have to beg for one! lol culture differences I guess....

Bella, erm thinking back I'm still up at least once a night for the loo, so don't worry its normal Smile

M&MB I've not made the coffee yet! instead I've been doing the following (sorry this is pasted from March thread!)

Well thought I'd quickly pop on here, as officially having lunch! Have done no 'work work' this am, instead have tried nesting to boot things along, have now cleared out nursery once more and re jigged it, have cleared out airing cupboard, re sorted into piles and chucked out loads of old stuff we don't use/have inherited etc.....and cleaned two bathrooms....so think I deserve a break....must waddle into town and get perscription this afternoon......

MeAndMyBoy · 28/02/2006 13:07

Bloomin' heck you've been busy - you have 2 bathrooms Envy I so can't wait to get another bathroom all gets a bit cramped in our 6" square room. I am very impressed at your energy - after 8pm I'm having real problems motivating myself - not good when I need to be doing customer calls.

It's fab news Caddie has her furniture :).

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 16:32

Its a pain M&MB twice the cleaning! and one's only really a shower room Grin but two bathrooms sounds better!

Ho hum, just had midwife on tel, trying to disuade me from home birth due to blood count.....which is exactly what dh wants, me in hospital........oh bugger what to do......I hate frigging hospitals.......hosp I guess, bit annoying, as have gotten everything I need for home birth now.......

romilly · 28/02/2006 18:36

awww friz - annoying about the blood tests Angry last thing you feel like now is iron tablets and constipation! hope you can persuade m/w to let you try the homebirth if you feel happy with that

cadmum - THURSDAY!! oh wow you are going to beat me to it - by almost a week! i shall be watching for your birthing story with great interest! i really really hope all goes well for you and that you get the least painful induction and your LO turns in time. i have to see my obs. on the 6th march to discuss my induction.

wonder how munzie is getting on today. poor lass, hope she is getting her strength back.

bella - i cant believe your scan is this monday - that 12 weeks has gone quickly - prob. not for you. you are sounding more and more pregnant hun!

Me&myboy - so great to have you on the preggie stage now too Smile

hi nemo, george, dq, j&rm and all our ladies who our very very busy being mummies.

Bella23 · 01/03/2006 09:54

Hello Ladies.
Wow Cadmum, the count down begins......1 more day to go, how exciting!!
I hope you are managing to keep the stress levels down and not worrying about tomorrow. We will all be thinking of you xx

Rom, yes time does seem to be speeding up although as the scan date approaches I am feeling more and more nervous. I just can't face bad news, am trying to stay positive but awful thoughts keep creeping in! Oh well what will be will be - just got to deal with what life throws don't you

Friz - sorry to hear the home birth is looking a bit less likely, hope you manage to get things how you want.

Helloooooooooo to all the other lovely ladies, hope you are all enjoying the beginning of March......white rabbits, white rabbits!!

yellowbear · 01/03/2006 11:24

Hi,

Good luck for your scan Bella.

Can't wait to here your news Cadmum, hope all goes well and you have an easy birth - you have had enough stress lately with the move and everything.

Rom - not long to go what is your due date?

Frizbe any news yet?

And a huge congrats to Munz.

Sorry if I have missed anyone, just thought i would pop in with a quick post to all the people who helped me through when I was TTC

romilly · 01/03/2006 11:55

hi yellowbear! how are things in the yellowbear household?! great to see you and thanks for your well wishes. yes i am very close now, any day really...

bella - totally natural pre-scan nerves hun! try to remember to enjoy it too, it is the best scan at 12 weeks because it is so detailed and you see lots of your little one! when they are bigger it is harder to make it all out! are you going to find out the sex??????

Cadmum · 01/03/2006 13:02

Well hello there yellowbear! I sure hope that things are going well for you. It is very kind of you to think of me as I embark on the crazy labour journey again.

I sure hope to make it through until my parents arrive at 7pm. Am still feeling crampy and was woken several times in the night with painful contractions... Hope that this is just a practice run or else I will have to face the hosptial all by myself...

Bella23 · 01/03/2006 13:18

Rom - thanks for the words of encouragement, very much appreciated. Nope not going to find out the sex as we both want a suprise.

Cadmum - gosh, sounds like its all very real. You need tol give your bump a good talking to and tell it that it needs to stay in until tomorrow. Good luck as don't want to think of you in hospital on your ownSad

trix1 · 01/03/2006 15:24

hello everyone, Im getting all excited hearing about these births & labours (crazy person) I just want to be further on than 16 weeks so I was near to the time the baby arries.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 01/03/2006 15:54

Hi Trix and yellowbear, long time no hear Smile glad your both ok.

Cadmum, good luck for tomorrow hon Grin can't wait for your story.

Bella, good luck with the scan if I don't end up on here for a few days, (she says hopefully!)

So far no major movements or anything, but I have started leaking collustrum today, so things must surely be on their way!! didn't leak at all with dd before hand, so fingers x'd tonight is the night! (or if dd is right with her prediction, it may well be Friday after all.....)

trix1 · 01/03/2006 16:06

Frizbe good luck with your impending laboour.
