Not the same Bella from Babycentre TTC board a couple of years back, surely?
Pinchy xxx

Bella23 · 16/02/2006 14:28

Pinchy - well my TTC journey has been 1 and half years but don't remember posting on a babycentre board.

munz · 16/02/2006 14:48

ok back now - apparently my M/W has been replaced and no one thought to mention it! althou the m/w I have is a v v though one and I actually really liked her so hoping she'll be there for the birth. anyhow head's now 3/5 in, but apparently the chin isn't tucked up yet so back to all fours for me to get his chin in. today's m/w said yes bub's is a fair size - she's betting 7.5-8lb as well, def not 7 -7.5 so i'm happy with that. but we shall see. traces of protein again, and swollen ankles means she wants to see me on tues in stead of 2 weeks time just to check BP and urine. when is it u start having the home visits?? I'm still going to the centre and the drive's starting to get a bit much.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 16/02/2006 23:32

Munz, have also replied on March thread, but we only get homevisits here if you book a homebirth, and then its only the once, then you have to drag yourself back into the surgery....
oh think its 6 weeks here for swimming too, although last time I didn't take dd until the end of her jabs.....

Bella, ginger ale is vgood for nausea!

DQ, is daisy really 8 weeks old! wow!!

Well getting lots of pushing pains here this evening, seems my little one has a vague idea where the exit is!

Bella23 · 17/02/2006 10:38

YE HA ...got my scan date through!!
6th March

Frizbetheexpansionset · 17/02/2006 13:24

Excellent stuff Bella

georgeandwigglyjake · 17/02/2006 15:33

Hi all, just remembering how much time I had to post when I was p/g. Ha ha ha, no such luck now. I just about have a scan through and Jakey wakes up again. Fortunately he has started to sleep at night though so I consider us very lucky at the moment.

Very excited about the imminent flurry of new babies (Rom, remember the bus theory? It works for baby's popping too ).

Bella, congrats on getting your scan date through. I hope the days pass quickly for you.

DQ, sorry you have been feeling a bit funny. Sounds like I was feeling back in August when I seemed to have everything & at the same time felt so low. Please don't hide away, you are always welcome to e-mail me if you want (and send me some more of those gorgeous Daisy pictures )

Guess what? Yes the little monkey boy is off again! Must fly........

romilly · 17/02/2006 19:55

lol george, yes i do remember the bus theory - well cadmum and i are 2 days apart for due dates anyway and munz is only slightly ahead so it could be three in a row.

bella - yayhay on the scan date (2 days before my due date btw!)

i had my acupuncture session and actually i loved it. bella they stuck the needles in my forhead, one in each wrist, one just below each knee in the middle of the bone, and one on either ankle on the inside by the bony bit (sorry not very technical on my description!) anyhow, it made me feel really energetic for a few hours afterwards so i made the most of it and went late night shopping! not what i was supposed to do at all, because the acupuncturist did say i needed to rest more anyway i have another few sessions so fingers crossed it will do something.

DQ hun - we love hearing from you, but i totally understand that it must be hard with all that is going on. take care

munz · 18/02/2006 10:24

ah there u are rom! I thought u'd popped and not told us! lol. glad ur session went well, i'm toying with the idea of going onf riday but DH is all for baby will come when he's ready no home methods work! still we'll see.

george - ello! lol. I think it will be 3 busses at once! lol. glad thingas are going well for u.

bella- woohooo u got ur date thru! I found mini chedders helped me when I was feeling sick.

maybe caddy's popped? what do u think?? really must send her the email i've been promising for ages

romilly · 18/02/2006 14:03

hey munz - as if i would pop and not tell my beanie buddies! hope you are having a relaxed weekend hun, i have got loads to do so should get off here for starters!

catch up later. take care all.

MeAndMyBoy · 18/02/2006 22:02

Munz Af's due Wednesday - and I am already imagining things lol. Thought I was soooo laid back about it until about yesterday. Did think we might have done enough this month, but (sorry for the details) spotting today so now not sure .

How's everyone one else? Friz I have my fingers crossed that you don't end up still waiting in March. Rom have you got any more news on a moving date or have you moved already?

DQ hello hun was wondering how you are doing.

I'll catch up with everyone properly tomorrow DH is off to dublin at lunch time for a week .

Hope you're having a good evening.

H x

Frizbetheexpansionset · 19/02/2006 11:58

MeAndMyBoy · 19/02/2006 22:25

Thanks Friz and I guess you went over with your first then? by much?

h x

Frizbetheexpansionset · 20/02/2006 08:33

Oh M&MB, sorry to hear that hon, still you'll get lots of good practice in again this month righty??

I went over by 5 days with the last one..........ho hum.......we just like staying in bed in this house

munz · 20/02/2006 11:16

ahy no movements here either - well back ache low movements it starts it stops nothing to get excited about - cos i'm assumin labour/BH's are gonna hurt like hell! lol.

MMB - sorry bout AF hon, r u sure it's not just implanting? failing that then we'll shower u with our good baby dust for next month.

wonder where caddy is.

MeAndMyBoy · 20/02/2006 11:48

Well they did for me Munz lol. I was having contractions that didn't hurt at all for about a week before DS was born. I was monitored for 30 mins the week before he was born and the trace showed regular contractions that just felt like very mild pins and needles down my legs and the midwife said see you later tonight as I left.lol

Then the day before I had very strong obvious contractions that didn't hurt at all all day then did the BD stuff and within 30 mins was in full blown painful labour with contractions lasting a minute about 3 mins apart.

I think our bodies do a huge amount of work on getting everything moving very gently and quietly in the weeks building up to the labour.

oops that's my philosophical moment for the day!!

munz · 20/02/2006 11:53

u never know then, the m/w last week said hopefully these little things will help to soften the cervix. will have to start pouncing on DH from thursday night! lol - we're not really talking at the mo as he's run out of fags so to save fights we don't talk! lol. (besdies he's working 8-9 so is tired and grumpy anyhow when he comes in)

romilly · 20/02/2006 12:10

munz - tell him to give up! (the fags that is) - better for you and baby, not to mention him too

sorry havent had much time to post, getting all last minute things done. another acupuncture session this a.m.

M&MB - sorry it wasnt to be this month. we will be waiting with the dust as munz says.

friz - any rumblings there yet? 3 of my NCT girls have dropped already , one is 10 days early the other was bang on time and the third a week late.

take care all x

munz · 20/02/2006 12:17

he's tried rom - but I confess after about 3 days I'd rather he smoked as he's so unbearable to live with. I know that's the wrong attitude to take. althou I've now set firm rules - no smoking in the house (alhtou I know he does it when I was working/visitin mum) and baccy only so we've saved a lot of money doing that. and he know's he's not to smoke around the baby at all in no circumstances - and that goes for the PIL as well - think they're gonna have a shock as DH still lets them smoke in the hosue in their room in the evenings once we're all in bed that will def be stopping once LO's here.

romilly · 20/02/2006 13:02

too right munz. i have lots of friends who are smokers and parents too, and they all congregate outside come wind rain or snow to indulge! its the best start you can give your baby (along with breastmilk!) a smoke-free zone.

i wouldnt recommend the baccy though munz, no filters. maybe its worth the extra expense for him to go back on the filtered variety.

munz · 20/02/2006 13:04

he has sperate filters, (for reasons unbeknown to me he won't smoke rollys without them) but i've not been a smoker in the smae way he has (the odd puff when u're trying things at school sort of thing but that's it) and it's only 60p for a box anyways.

romilly · 20/02/2006 13:18

oh thats ok then. i used to smoke, for years - (which is why i am such a typical bore of a reformed smoker now, lol, and preach the pants off to anyone who smokes a lot!)

munz · 20/02/2006 13:20

lol -ah now quantity there's another matter! lol. althou he's cut back (after being on baccy) prior to that he'd buy 30 fags a day and give 10 out to the lads in work and smoke 20 himself - hence why that soon stopped after we got married! now thou I think he's prob down to about 10 a day so at least he's cut back.

well done u on being 'clean' as it were! lol.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 20/02/2006 14:27

Rom I'm a reformed smoker too, its true we are the worst!!
and sorry but no more rumblings so far....

M&MB good philosopical moment I like it

Munz, totally agree with stopping him smoking in house and the PIL's even if they do get miffed by it, they should see the reasoning behind it.

Hope all are ok, Caddy where are you???
