MeAndMyBoy · 30/01/2006 09:11

Morning ladies,

Well finally got to bed about 1.30!! and was up at 7.00 and STILL buzzing. So much so that I forgot I had a day off today and have come into work. Doh!!

Hope everyone is feeling fine and dandy this morning.

H x

Here's a joke that made me giggle this morning.

How do you stop your husband reading your emails?

Rename the inbox instruction manuals

Tabs · 30/01/2006 09:43

MAMB - can I have some of your excess energy please?!

Friz - don't you go claiming to be next Mrs, when I only have 3 days until my due date!!!

Wendy - half way through the 2ww already - how are you feeling?

Morning to everyone else - wishing you all a great week.

Bella23 · 30/01/2006 11:47

Morning all ladies.
Well had a really nice long weekend in Edinburgh which was great.

Anybody got any knowledge of Eskimo 3 fish oil supplement? My friend has suggested I take it as a great thing but am nervous about taking it. Any thoughts?

Also - have dreaded constipation!! Anybody got any tips? I have tried fruit, bran etc and nothing seems to be working - at this rate I might literally explode!!

Well not long now until our next delivery - sounds like its Tabs - how exciting!!

munz · 30/01/2006 13:37

hiya guys,

jsut a quick stop in to see all's well with everyone.

feelin v hormonal/nesty etc.

tabs can't beleiev it's u next to drop! where is the time going?? 9.5 days to go in work!

Tabs · 30/01/2006 14:08

Sympathies Bella - I've suffered on and off with that. Recommend prune juice, eating a few figs each day, and lactulose if you need it (safe during pg and cheap to buy or get on prescription). Also make sure that you are drinking lots of water as it helps to keep things moving.

As far as fish oils go, all I really know is that you need to avoid ones that are made from whole of fish inc liver.

georgeandwigglyjake · 30/01/2006 16:55

Bella, I suffered for the whole p/g. Only thing that helped was lactulose but BEWARE......gives you horrendous wind!!!

Lovely to see more of the TTC ladies appearing over here on the beanie thread. Hello to all.

Wendy, hope you are doing OK and taking it easy. Can't be that long to wait now.

Can't believe some of you are so close now, Friz, Munz, Rom, Caddy!!! Time is just whizzing past now. My little lamb is nearly too big for his newborn clothes . He gets weighed again tomorrow so see how much weight the little piglet has put on this time.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 30/01/2006 22:37

Bella Prune Juice I'm afraid, but it does work!

Tabs, sorry you were absent for a while! so had mentally slotted myself in after SK, quite happy to drop back in the que!! you go girl!!

M&MB like the joke

Hope all are well, my baby appears to be trying to break out with some rather painful pushing down below, also a hormonal wreck today, v tired, thus lost it at a call centre employee, who was doing their best not to help me, had the audacity to try to get me to call back before even hearing what my problem was!!!! think they wanted to go home........grrrrr.....

romilly · 31/01/2006 19:16

hi everyone

bella - i second friz, prunes, prunes and more prunes - worked for me everytime. i ate the dried ones, mmmmm

tabs - v. excited for you.

wendy - ditto everyone else, still thinking of you - hope the 2 ww isnt too agonizing.

munz/friz - TP measurements today? i am just over 9 now.

hi me&myboy, george, nemo, caddy, DQ, SK, trix, J&BM

munz · 31/01/2006 20:01

good evenin ladies,

rom - i'll measure when I come out of the bath - last week was 8.75 I think! how r u doing today?

bella - I suffered terrible constipation from about 24 weeks ish I think, my M/W this week said dried apricots (I'm sure it was that def not prunes) but she recons u only need about 4 or u'll be the other way! lol. failing that I did use lactalose (sp) althou when I broached my m/w about using it more regular (as it was starting to be my only form of relief ) she said not to as the bowls can become lazy, so she said hi fiber, ie lots of brown bread, water, bran flakes - so guess what I have every day now! lol. it's really helped as well.

hiya to everyone else - I really must try to keep up more! lol - it's zapping all my energy at the mo! lol. althou the boss is away for the rest of the week - wohooo! lol. so can MN at lot more as vats are done m/e is done so can skive for a bit b4 the new girl starts on mondya and I have no MN

munz · 01/02/2006 13:13

ok rom i'm just on 9 now - althou been 8 for absolutly ages! lol.

I think the LO has shifted down a touch - there's now a clear space between my boobs and the bump!

trix1 · 01/02/2006 13:18

Hi Munz - without having to read the thread - you are on nine what?

Ive got my 12 week scan tomorrow, I woke up this morning and was sick so I hope that was a good sign?

munz · 01/02/2006 13:21

lol trix - toilet paper squares - it's how we measure each week on a tuesday! lol. I think DQ/Nemo started it off when we were about 16 weeks or something - they were further on, it's a lot better than gettin on the scales and less depressing than using a tape measure! lol.

I think the loo roll squares vary as well! lol. andrex is the way forward!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 01/02/2006 22:41

Oh crikey I missed TP day!! oh well, theres always next week!! unless I've dropped (highly doubtful)
Glad all seem well, good luck with scan Trix.

Cadmum · 02/02/2006 15:40

Hello all.

I am back from the 'trip from hell'. Thankfully, I have my notes and I have faxed a copy to the only consultants willing to consider seeing me so now I just need to wait.

My voyage back to New York was a complete nightmare with flight cancellations, re-routing, security nighmares and to top it all off NOTHING to eat until 1:30 pm despite having been awake since 4:10 am. My journey ended in a flood of tears when my backpack fell off the luggage trolley as I ran to catch the shuttle bus and was promptly collected by the police...

I so needed to crawl into a nice warm bed and sleep for hours but DH and the kids were busy waiting to be allowed into the new flat (promised for 9"00 am but still unfinished at 12:00) and hadn't even begun moving our things from the sub-let in Manhatten... We finally got to sleep on our air-bed at 1:00am. I am SO tired of being a nomad. I sure hope that we have some semblance of order in our lives before the baby is born but I sure have my doubts.

Hope you are all well. I will try to catch up this evening once we are more settled.

Cadmum · 02/02/2006 15:43

I did forget to mention that the flat was worth the wait. It was immaculate; the floors were re-finished and the entire kitchen is brand new. We even have a massive fridge/freezer with a flitered water/ice dispenser! Once we are actually setttled, it will be a nice place to live.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 02/02/2006 19:58

and boy will you need that dispenser in summer Caddy So glad you've finally finished all the running around hon {{{{Big Hugs}}}}} and congrats on your new gaff! hope you all get chance to settle properly before the big day.

georgeandwigglyjake · 02/02/2006 20:06

Trix, hope your scan went well today.

I can't believe how much you are still doing Cadmum I was sofa bound by about 30 weeks with the telephone in one hand, the remote in the other and a bar of choccy hanging out my mouth!
Actually, not changed too much now except I have a baby hanging off 1 boob

Hope you have some good news for us soon Wendy.

Still crazy here with the little wiggler. Still waiting for our first smile but I'm hoping any day now as he is 5 weeks tomorrow. Good news is....I can drive again, not such good news for everything else on the road though having a sleep deprived barmy woman let loose!

romilly · 02/02/2006 22:46

lol george

cadmum - glad the apartment is lovely. now you must slow down - surely d/h can take on some of the chores?

munz - glad you are 9 too

trix - believe me, you'll soon be doing v. strange things with loo roll round your bump!

Cadmum · 03/02/2006 04:03

I am scared to even venture near the loo roll! I am sure that I must be over 10 squares by now so I will just guess from now on, OK?

Thanks for all of the slow-down advice... I am sure that I should but wish I knew how. Somehow my notes included a page of somebody elses bloodwork and that is all I heard from the Ob Nurse today. She was supposed to ring me back this afternoon but she didn't... I sure hope that doesn't mean anything.

Wendy: Thinking of you and trying to imagine how challenging this 2 WW must be for you. Really hoping that you are taking care of yourself.

Tabs · 03/02/2006 11:57

Morning ladies.

How was the scan Trix?

Cadmum - life does sound far too hectic for you still, but yay for being into your lovely new home.

Could I ask for labour vibes from all of you lovely ladies now please. Was due yesterday, and had sweep this morning (was 1cm dilated), so just need a bit more encouragement to get things going!

Cadmum · 03/02/2006 14:14

Oh Tabs! How exciting. Was the sweep horrible? Any sign of that LO? I can't believe thta you are already due!!!

Can't wait to read your announcement.

Tabs · 03/02/2006 14:49

Actually Cadmum it was surprisingly fine! Thought that it would at least be a bit uncomfortable like a smear is, but really didn't hurt at all.

DH keeps making me laugh now by coming into the room every half an hour or so and saying 'come on Pippa' to my tummy! Think he's getting a bit impatient now, so let's hope we don't have v long to wait!

Bella23 · 03/02/2006 16:12

Tabs - lots of labour vibes coming your way

Cadmum - am very jealous over a frdige freezer with ice dispenser, sounds fab!

Wendy - testing day tomorrow so keeping all things crossed for you and will be saying a few words tonight before I go to bed to up above in case there is somebody listening. xxx

romilly · 03/02/2006 16:16

me too Wendy - really really thinking of you x

tabs - loads more positive pain-free speedy labour vibes winging their way over to you

hi everybody - cant stay on computer long so catch up properly later

Frizbetheexpansionset · 03/02/2006 17:24

Wendy thinking of you too, good luck

Tabs, come on lass, here's hoping for a Saturday am baby for you (things usually kick off at night right?!)
