OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
munz · 24/01/2006 14:41

cads i'm here, vat's finally done so can relax a bit - only 2.5 weeks to go thou - eek!

measuring 8.75 TP squares this week as well, so v slowly going up! promise I will catch up! lol.

bella - tbh i'd go as well, if only to see the bean. my friend's just had an early one and as she was only dated at 9+2 (thought she was nearer 13) they're gettin her back at 12 just to make sure all's well. fingers crossed, I know how hard it is but try not to worry too much.

also anyone mind if we start a new thread or should us march girls wait as we've only got about 8 weeks to go??

romilly · 24/01/2006 16:52

bella: i had my early scan at 6 weeks - and saw a very strong heartbeat. i would definitely go if i were you, because as cadmum says you can check various other things and then go back a few weeks later if the heartbeat doesnt show yet. if it were me, i wouldnt be able to wait!

cadmum - know exactly how you feel about the move, i am having similar thoughts about why we had to do all this now ! our completion date is now looking like it will be bang on my due date so everyone is making jokes about me signing forms in hospital, mid-contractions!

munz - if no-one else objects why dont we keep the beanie thread going until march. it seems a shame to start a new one now!

yellowbear · 24/01/2006 17:41

Bella, just to reiterate what Rom has said I also had my first scan at just 6 weeks and a heartbeat could just be seen, so I would still go. I'll be watching out for your post!

Tabs · 24/01/2006 18:09

Bella - sounds like you've decided to go now anyway, but my opinion is also that you should. You will worry yourself senseless for another week if you postpone it, which wouldn't really be any different from if you went and they couldn't find h/b! If they don't find it tomorrow then I'm certain that they would ask you back next week for another scan anyway.

And on the symptom front - I didn't get any symptoms for whole of first trimester, and very little since then either, so definitely nothing to worry about there.

Wendy - lots of implantation and strong embryo growing vibes coming your way! Hoping that the 2ww passes quickly for you.

Rom - great news on scan - let's hope that baby decides to come on time so that you don't have to worry about induction.

SK - really hoping that you don't have to wait much longer - think you should tell your LO quite sternly that mummy has had enough now and it's time to come out!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 24/01/2006 18:39

Oh SK, sorry to hear you have no news, am rooting for you to go for it tonight!

Wendy, wishing you lots of luck hon

Bella, go for the scan hon, great advice from everyone! lookforward to hearing your news.

Rom, great news re the scan! phew eh!

Cad, eek re the pains, I'll chase my friend, as she's not gotten back to me.

georgeandwigglyjake · 24/01/2006 19:23

Grr, still not keeping up properly as the little wriggler keeps waking up & wanting feeding. Went to NCT today & everyone has good babies who sleep after a 30min feed and go through the night then there is Jake!!! Can't really complain as I've never been one to stick to the rules so we know where he gets it from

Wendy, what fantastic news. I hope that the 2 week wait passes quickly for you and you have some more good news to come. I agree that the support from the beanie ladies & others has been immense on MN, long may it continue

Bella, I went for my scan at 6½ weeks and he had a strong heartbeat then. I do hope you still go tomorrow. I'm willing you that moment of absolute joy, wonder and relief.
By the way, I don't think I was sick that early on, just kept eating loads!!!

SK, surely you must be soon!!!

Hi everyone else, one day I'll be able to keep up & post properly again.

Bella23 · 24/01/2006 19:42

Arh thanks Ladies for the excellent advice. Sounds like we are all in agreement that I go tomorrow so that's what i am going to do

Rom - funny at the thought of you completing on your due date - yikes !!

Well..... I shall let you all know tomorrow how it goes.

Hope you are all having a good night and little Jake if you are listening, have a nice long sleep so your mummy can have some shut eye

Had total stress morning, thought I saw something pink when I went to the loo this morning before we left for the hospital so got really frightened that we were going to get bad news. Sat for ages in the reception and just was having so many flashbacks to last time - felt like such a tightly coiled spring! Poor DH looked all clammy!
Anyway doctor was really sweet and all is A OK !!

Thanks ladies for all the support, really means a lot Right - first hurdle over with, just got to get through the next 5 weeks.

Nemo1977 · 25/01/2006 13:47

hi munz

Thanks for asking about the toilet training, it seems that we are done!!!!!!! no accidents for a few days including trips out. its quite cute to see him whip his pants off and run up the stairs..lol now I just have to teach him to pee with his pants still on! lol He has even had a dry nappy the past 3 nights which really surprises me but am not brave enough to take it off yet for his sleeps.

munz · 25/01/2006 13:54

glad the potty training's going well - LOL@ LO taking his pants off thou! - i'm sure that's a male thing! lol.

Cadmum · 25/01/2006 13:54

WOOOHOOO Bella! I am so pleased for you. This is fantastic news to read first thing in the morning. Aren't you glad you went?

Wendy: Hope you are managing to keep your feet up. This must be a very long 2 WW for you. Sending you positive feelings and many prayers across the ocean.

I am hoping to have an ObGyn sorted for the end of today. Tired of getting no sleep worrying about having to go back to Ottawa to deliver the LO while my mum hs already booked their flights to New York.

wendy11 · 25/01/2006 14:16

Bella

That is fantastic news. I am so pleased for you and your DH. Now take things really easy and enjoy - this is going to be the one for you.

Cadmum · 25/01/2006 15:10

How are you feeling Wendy?

romilly · 25/01/2006 20:42

Bella - wonderful fantastic brilliant amazing news - now you can start enjoying this pregnancy, and looking forward to watching that bump grow! when is your due date then?

Wendy - just to echo cadmum, we are thinking positive thoughts for you as well honey. xx

had my 34 week midwife appt. today. apparently i need to get scrubbing the floors on all fours as baby is very happily in the back to back position now, uh oh... induction and back contractions. my midwife suggested acupuncture so i dont get to the stage when i have to be induced. anyone else tried this?

munz · 25/01/2006 20:45

ahy wend hope u're keepin ur feet up.

rom - am intrested in any natural induction methods as well! lol - so let me know what u find! i've got some raspberry leaf to start drinking from sunday (when I reach 35 weeks ) and was gonna get the argos birthing ball thingy for £3.99!

hope fully the LO will shift around for you.
