Helllooooooooo is there anybody thereeeeee???????

SK, any news??

munz · 19/01/2006 20:17

hey guys i'm floating about just did a really long one on the march board so off for a bath b4 my brain overloads! lol.

hope everyoen's ok and SK's lack of postings is a good sign!

sweetkitty · 19/01/2006 20:55

Sorry ladies I'm still here with bump don't think she's ever going to be born at this rate. I have really bad cough/cold so working on the theory that if you are ill your body holds onto the baby a bit longer until you are fit enough for labour.

Cadmum - glad you are back safe and sound. Take it easy and rest up now.

Hope everyone else is doing ok with bumps, babies and follicles.

Cadmum · 19/01/2006 21:01

I am here...

I have confirmed that insurance will cover 100% of my delivery and ante-natal care but I am coming up with nobody willing to be my ObGyn... Confusing when there are only limited Drs that accept our insurance policy.

Oh the joys of different countries. Wish I had a native New Yorker with a newborn to guide me through the process!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 19/01/2006 22:05

Cadmum your on the best place to advertise for one!!! maybe that's what you should do?? are there any local net boards to NYC you could use as well??

Cadmum · 19/01/2006 22:52

Friz: I am either daft or just way too pg because I don't understand what you are suggesting?

I would love to deliver at St Luke's Roosevelt because it has a great reputation and a birhting centre one floor below their Labour and Delivery but my research indicates that none of the Drs there take our insurance. How is this possible?

Some of the other options are looking rather grimmmm (older facilities; no rooming in; high intervention rates etc etc etc.) I could cry as DS2 was born peacefully at home and that is just NOT an option as no midwife here will touch me with a ten foot pole thanks to my notes being flagged HIGH RISK by my GP because of previous miscarriages.

wendy11 · 20/01/2006 12:43

Just a quick update from me:
6 of my 7 eggs have fertilized and all looking good so far according to the embryologist Back on Sunday at 10.30 for embryo transfer and then onto the dreaded 2ww.

I hope you are all well and taking really good care of yourselves. I will speak to you all again soon.

HandbagAddiction · 20/01/2006 12:52

Wendy11 - Wow that sounds like an excellent result. Hope Sunday goes well and isn't too uncomfortable. I will be thinking of you and keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for a positive result! .

Cadmum · 20/01/2006 14:50

Wendy: I am so glad that things are going well for you. Really can't wait to hear about the BFP at the end of your 2 WW. I hope Sunday goes well and that the next couple of weeks fly by.

Bella23 · 20/01/2006 15:21

Hoorah Wendy - that's a great result!!
One more hurdle down - onto the home stretch now
Thanks ladies, doing well. Trying to keep myself occupied until my scan next wednesday. Keeping really positive

Frizbetheexpansionset · 20/01/2006 18:37

Hurrah Wendy, sending you lots of good luck vibes.
Cadmum, was suggesting you advertise on a local board like mumsnet for an available obgyn?! might be worth a go?

Cadmum · 20/01/2006 19:43

Bella: Good for you for staying positive. Less than a week to go now until you will see your bean.
So hoping that all goes beautifully for you.

Friz: I see what you are suggesting. I will need to try something as I don't suppose that an ObGyn is going to ring me and offer to deliver the baby! Wish I didn't feel so in-over-my-head at the moment. I think that DH now dreads coming home to listen to me moan about everything.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 20/01/2006 19:51

Caddy have mail'd a quack friend of mine over your way, see if they can point you in the right direction! will let you know when they get back to me!

Cadmum · 20/01/2006 20:11

Friz: You are truly a star. I think that I just really need a kick up the back-side because I am in a rutt and I just don't have time to wallow here. Wish I could motivate myself to get on with all of the tasks that I am avoiding...

room4two · 20/01/2006 22:16

Dropping in to wish Wendy well for tomorrow. I so hope that things go well for you. It is your turn for some good news I think.

Bella, I'll be checking for your update after your scan on Wed. Try to keep positive, I know it's terribly stressful but I'm sure you will come away wth some good news.

Hi to everyone else. Sorry I've not been on much but I'm finding time a little tight with little wiggly Jake taking over the house, and a teensy bit tired. (OMG, please can I have some sleep soon???)
Buying any gimmick going to try to get him to sleep now - any suggestions gratefully received!

SK, any news????

MeAndMyBoy · 21/01/2006 20:11

Hi Everyone,

Welcome Room4two - what cool news congratulations as others have said there are loads on the site that can give you plenty of advice for twins - think there's a multiples section? but I'm sure you've probably found that already.

Wendy that's absolutely fab news - have you in my prays for tomorrow and the next 2 weeks.

Bella - thinking of you too - only a few days to go but is must feel like weeks - sending you calm relaxed vibes hun.

Cadmum - glad your trip went well - not suprised you're feeling a bit knackered - go easy on yourself you're doing huge amounts - lots of little ones to look after and Dh, and cooking the next one too!! much respect I'd have gone and hidden by now.

Hi to everyone else hope you're all doing fine.

I am off for a quick nap as I spent the afternoon ice-skating in Central Park and now DH has the kids out getting something for tea. I am shattered and I shouldn't be in front of this computer when he gets home or he will have my head on a platter!!!

Hope you are all well.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/01/2006 10:02
