MeAndMyBoy · 09/01/2006 09:56

Hi Munz,

Sorry for not replying to you sooner. I'm good thank you. Just a bit down in the dumps as DH is back to work this week so is away now for the next week pooh so know how you feel.

How's everyone else? I do keep up just struggle to post regularly sorry.

Cadmum so glad you've made it to NY safetly, I have fingers crossed on the house hunting for you. I completely agree with the insect thing - ugh!! so not what you want for your little ones.
Oops just read down a bit and looks like you're sorted on the house front, when do you get to move in?

Rom how did it go with the offer for the house?

Friz I'm glad it's better news for your Gran I have my fingers crossed for her and hope she gets her appointments soon and doesn't have to wait too long.

George hope things are going well for you all and you are getting some time to just sit and gaze at your georgous LO and not too caught up in all the stuff that needs doing. (IFKWIM).

Jarm glad to hear the Becky is on the mend, fingers crossed she's right as rain soon.

For me just counting down until we can start TTC again and putting my energy into DS and the business, hoping to combine the business with a little excerise as we walk miles stuffing leaflets through doors in an effort to get some customers.

H x

MeAndMyBoy · 09/01/2006 11:34

Friz just a quick question, have you heard from HandbagAddiction recently? Was just wondering how's she's doing and noticed she hasn't posted since before Christmas? If not I might drop her a CAT she how she's doing.

h x

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/01/2006 11:44

Frizbetheexpansionset · 09/01/2006 11:53

M&MB, no not heard a thing from handbag???

Well have just been good and been to pre/post natal exercise class! which has just started up near me, in fact will do a seperate drumming up business post for them too! tis good tho, as you can take your kiddies if you want to, and didn't have to do too much as in 3rd tri, so more an exercise in nattering and drinking tea

munz · 09/01/2006 13:24

friz - that sounds like a good excercise class to me! lol. I still have to book my anti natal.

JM - 6 years u sure??? lol, how's becki today? DH got to bulford, only to find, the Q in the gym is the old one we had from bassingbourne - he he he's gonna get ragged! lol. I'm so pleased! lol. on the plus thou they've said he can carry his mobile on him for the last week of the course incase I go into labour - which i'm not planning as I was after a week's rest from work b4 baby came! lol. but at least they're being helpful.

MMB - not heard form HA since she had that scare, all was well after that I think, hope she's ok, might be worth CAT'ing her. I'm quite glad dh is away at the mo - I might get some sleep - as will he! lol. i'm sooo uncomfortable right now any of u guys have any tips? fingers x'ed for u with TTC, hopefully it will be a short spell for u.

tabs - hiya hon, u're more than welcome to join if u like.

DQ - work shame on u! what ever makes u think I work in work! lol. I MN! lol. seriously thou it's quiet a the mo so I can stop in - and hte boss was out fri avo, VAT inspection in march thou so I do have to do some work

HH - big congrats for u as well with the LO.

George - hope little Jake starts to settle soon. did u try the teddy bear thingy idea where u have it with u so it smells of u?

bella - fingers still firmly xed for u as well hon!

cads - oh no what will u do now with the apt? hope it gets sorted out.

rom - any news on the house yet?

hope everyone's LO's are OK, feeding/sleeping well. no real changes here - except LO's never sleeping he seems to always be active day and night althou at least that's reassuring.

MeAndMyBoy · 09/01/2006 15:03

Look at this I haven't said a word for weeks and then multipost for England!!

I've CAT Hangbag to see how she's doing. Hopefully we'll hear from her soon.

As for getting comfy Munz - have you tried a pillow between your knees? it worked for me just made turning over a real soap opera!!

h x

munz · 09/01/2006 15:07

MMB - lol, u're more than welocme don't worry!

tried the pillow between the legs - not comfy thou, tried it under the bum/knees it's ok till I turn over, mainly I wake up cos it's annoying and kick it out! lol. alos tried 2 pillows either side - DH stayed in the spare room that night! and sleeping with 2 pillows, but nothing's helping ecept when DH isn't there

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/01/2006 15:17

NO WAY - No more kids for YEARS AND YEARS... just cant - my girls are MORE than enough!

HandbagAddiction · 09/01/2006 15:18

I'm here, I'm here!! Thanks for chasing me up girls, been very bad at posting largely due to a very sick PC at home (complete rebuild required) and having the week from hell work-wide last week! Still Christmas and New Year were excellent if a little too busy. Was going to try out potty training with dd - but she ended up with quite a bad cold and cough and then went on a food strike for a few days, so I thought I'd be pushing my luck slightly!!

Apart from that, feel I can truley start my countdown now. I'm on 20 weeks now and growing very quickly ...although that may have something to do with excessive eating / chocolates / cakes over Christmas! Got my scan next Monday and really torn in two about whether to find out the sex or not. Pretty sure that dh doesn't want to know but I'm really wavering - especially as I've just found out that one of my friends who is due a week before me is having a boy....we all had girls the first time around!

Anyway glad to hear that everyone seems to be OK. Haven't had a chance to catch up with the whole thread - will do so later...but quickly...

Bella23 - fantastic news!! So very happy for you!!!

Frizbe - can't believe you've only got 8 weeks left to go...the time has flown by so quickly

Munz - if Frizbe only has 8 weeks, that must mean that you're also due soon....hope everything is going well.

M&MM - thanks for trying to get through to me...hope everything is good with you.

Bye for now and now that I'm back in the swing of things, promise to post more often!!!

wendy11 · 09/01/2006 15:52

ello everyone

I hope you are all keeping well and either enjoying your new arrivals or waiting patiently for your new arrival - not long to go now for most of you.

Bella - a very special congratulations to you and your DH. I am absolutley delighted that you have got your BFP. Sending you all the sticky baby dust I possibly can. Please take care of yourself and get an early scan to put your mind at rest.

I have started my injections and have my first scan on the 17th to see how many follicles have developed. If all is OK I will have egg collection on 19th and embryo transfer on the 22nd. Then if all goes OK my test date is 5th February - Adams due date. Have to keep thinking positive. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers over the next few weeks and I will let you know how I get on.

Bella23 · 09/01/2006 16:33

Wendy - thanks for the warm thoughts.
I can assure you that are definately in my thoughts and prayers, will be sending out lots of positive energy to you.
The 5th being Adam's due date has to be a great sign from up above xx
Looks like 2006 is going to be the year that us 2 little toirtoises get to finish this TTC race

Handbag - glad to hear you are doing so nicely, wow 20 weeks already.

Munz - hope the pillow trick works, can't imagine not sleeping very well xx

Rom - not fully caught up on your house stuff but hope you are having some good news on that front soon. House buying is always very stressful!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 09/01/2006 20:30

Handbag glad your ok, and its OMG 7 weeks for me
Wendy go girl, go girl
Rom, house, news??? fingers very x'd for you.

Got our new picasso today girls tis lovely, bar the fact dd's car seat doesn't fit it properly, have yet to try bubbas will be doing that tomorrow.....then off to shops to buy new one for dd (hopefully bumps will fit?) anyone got any tips on seats for me, there is another thread kicking about on it!

romilly · 09/01/2006 21:13

how lovely to see all the old beanie gang back on here - it is really heartwarming to hear how everyone is getting on. special hellos to yellowbear, hereshoping, me&myboy (harrizeb!), tabs and handbag

wendy - i certainly shall be saying those prayers for you for the 17th and all the other important dates, esp. the 5th feb

bella - booked that scan yet!?

thankyou so much everyone for asking about my house bid, well guess what..... WE GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! paid far too much i think but we have finally got a house in the location we wanted. it is 2 streets away from where we are now! but has the extra room we need so badly. i cant even think about how i am going to manage the move or when that will be, because it looks like it could be around my due date so terrible timing but we really need to move, so we will just have to cope somehow.

hey munz, i also got measured by my ob. today who said i have to have a growth scan cause i am measuring 36cm at 31+5 he also mentioned i may have to have a c-section. my b/p is better but they still think i may get pre-eclampsia so heavy monitoring still going on.

friz - congrats on the picasso! and lol at your "exercise" class - can i come it sounds great?!! tea and nattering beats any kind of exertion at this stage!

DQ - lol at one handed breastfeeding typing - u r v. good at it!

george - hope little jake is behaving himself and you get some much needed kip

SK - any news honey? how are you feeling??????????

caddy - looks like we will both have a lot on our plates in feb/march! good luck with it all

J&RM - how is becky now?

hi also to nemo

munz · 09/01/2006 21:42

HA - yes I have 8 weeks officially till 40 weeks - but i'm hoping and preying this baby comes in about 6! i'm soooo uncomfortable! lol, still I guess all the time he's in there it mean's he's quiet! lol. good to hear thingas are going well for you, I can't beleive it's 20 weeks already, seems like only yesterday you posted your BFP.

wendy - lets hope this year really is for you and bella, we're all thinking of you both, and fingers crossed your eggs/tfr goes well. (not to mention you get a good result in the nicest way on the 5th). what ever happens we'll all be here with you. (((hugs)))

rom - wohoooo u got the hosue - u'll be moving around D Day - god u r brave! lol. any chances of gettin them to do it b4/after? hope all goes well with your growth scan, what with that and marne on the march thread's BH's my worrys don't seem so bad - u just keep those pinns of urs up young lady! (and eat lots of choccy!) lol.

bella - i've give up with the sleep thingy really, mum told me she was the same, she used to get 5 mins in the chair and cat nap, so I might have to take a pillow into work for lunch time! lol.

friz - no tips on car seats, they did do a safety test didn't they?? i'm a bit worried about the fact of mothercare relabaling the more popular branded seats as theirs I must say.

anyhow gonna get off and watch me vin deisel DVD and slap the dog (not literally) - the blooming animal won't stop whining - this normally happens for the first 2/3 days for DH being away. blinking creature.

Tabs · 09/01/2006 21:52

Great news about the house Romilly - it's not too much to pay if it's worth it to you!

Wendy - wishing you the very best of luck for a happy outcome to this round of IVF. Agree with Bella that the date could be a good omen.

Handbag - go on, find out the sex - you know you want to, and even if you don't, we do!

MAMB - didn't realise for ages who you were! Doesn't take much to confuse a pregnant woman you know!

Well only just over 3 weeks to go for me now if she decides to go full term, which no-one seems to think she will (based on what I'm not sure!). I'm adamant that she must as DH won't be back from Dublin until the evening of her due date, and really want him to be at the birth after we've done all the classes together and he knows what I want. Have started writing my birth plan today to make sure it's all on paper just in case. Is everyone else writing one?

Cadmum · 09/01/2006 23:13

Tabs, I think that it is very sensible to write a birth plan but to remain flexible. The most important part is to have a healthy baby and a healthy mum. My plan (but bear in mind this is number 4) is to make it to the hospital on time; deliver the baby (prefer my standard 2 push method used for the first 3); return home ASAP. I would much rather opt for a home-birth but my notes have been flagged as high-risk because of miscarriages and previous pre-eclampsia so that seems to be out of the question.

Rom: Yippee on the house!!! I so hope that you can move before your due date. I had forgotten the fun that is involved in chains etc. in the UK. Is is SO much simpler in North America...

Wendy: I am so pleased that you have found the courage to try again. I will hope and pray for you that you get that BFP followed by a healthy nine month pregnancy and a safe delivery in October.

Bella: Still delighted with your great news!

My charming LO has flipped up-side-down so now I have a head at the top of my bump and swift kicks in the cervix and bladder. OUCH!!! I am also full of cold and coughing really badly. I sure hope this is not a chest infection... DD used to get them often as a toddler and I am starting to sound way too much like she did. We have been officially approved for the flat on Roosevelt Island but now we need the first months rent by next Monday after having already paid the damage deposit and a small fee... ARGH!!! How do people afford to live here?

Frizbetheexpansionset · 10/01/2006 08:41

Ok girls, we're all ok to go and holiday on Cadmums balcony in a few weeks then BIG CONGRATS on getting an appartment sorted Cadmum!

Rom, BIG CONGRATS on the house too, please tell me your getting a removal firm in to do all the work for you?

Munz, yummmy Vin D! hope the movie gave you lovely dreams!!
My sleep tip, especially now dp is away is, get the whole duvet into a big lump and stick bump on it, with one leg over it, I usually manage to get some sleep this way, and if you look on the bright side, this is the last 6-8-10 weeks sleep you'll get for a year or two but its all worth it
Re car seat, we kinda had an inkling our wasn't going to fit, as a) it was ss's old one, so its 6 years old, and b) the new car has isofix! this seat is that old it doesn't......also the shape of the seat is different to our old car.....will keep it as a spare for the van tho! and hopefully pick up a new one today, although my life is not being made easy by delivery/fitting slot for oven today 11.30-3.30pm, what sort of time is that!! can't rush out this am, as have a Rep arriving between 9-9.30, so kinda stuffed at the mo.....

Frizbetheexpansionset · 10/01/2006 08:42

Oh sorry nearly forgot to ask, SK how's it going???

Tabs, hope you go over, so dh doesn't miss out!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 10/01/2006 08:42

Oh sorry nearly forgot to ask, SK how's it going???

Tabs, hope you go over, so dh doesn't miss out!

munz · 10/01/2006 09:01

ah friz sit here and talk to me!

managed to sleep quite well last night woke up a few times mainly thru fear or over sleeping. but in all a good night. (nice dreams as well!) hope hte guy turns up early for you.

ooh any one having a girl out there?? rom?? odd q, did u/have u had really erotic dreams?? I did and am having a boy, my friend who's 10 weeks apparently (not sure on dates) is having mega errotic dreams as well, so wondered if there was a link?

cads - ahy when can we visit?

tabs - 3 weeks eh! it's gone so quickly!

MeAndMyBoy · 10/01/2006 09:58

Woo Hoo Hello Handbag it's lovely to hear from you, sorry for the stalking . 20 weeks that's fab, don't know what my 2 pennth is about finding out the sex, I know I definately didn't want to know last time, but not sure about finding out if we manage a next time. Probably won't again I think. A friend knew she was having a little girl and told everyone her name too so we all referred to her by her name even though she hadn't been born yet.

It's great to see everyone else about as well . Hello!

Tabs sorry for confusing you with my name change, I have been raving about Mumsnet to a friend and SIL and my name was very recognisable. Cool only 3 weeks to go yippee are you excited or just apprehensive now?

Wendy I have toes and fingers crossed for you for the next 3 weeks or so, and that Adam's due date brings you some lovely news, you're in my prayers.

Bella I still smile when I think about your news please let us know when your scan is etc so that we can send positive vibes to you.

Rom - Absolutely Fan -bloody- tastic about the house, shame about the probable moving dates, but isn't that just always the way. Will you be getting a company in to help you move or just rope in friends and family? I ended up helping tennants move into my house when I was 7mths pregnant.

Friz cool about the new car - shame about the car seat though. We ended up going to kiddicare.com to get Adam's new car seat, got it fitted at Mothercare to find which one fitted the best and then went on line to buy it - was little bit cheaper than mothercare (but then most places are I think) and the delivery was free.

Cadmum cool news about the flat being sorted, is definately the 2bed that you have? I know it's probably a headache you don't need but can you keep looking for a resonably priced 3 bed now it's not such an emergancy to find somewhere? Will you still be able to get the children to the school you mentioned you liked? opposite DH's work I think I remember correctly?

This is turning into a mamouth post, I'll stop here an carry on tonight, I really need to do some work

Take care
hx

K I can't preview this so will just have to post, sorry if I've got anything wrong!!

munz · 10/01/2006 11:35

tp tues girls,. i'm 8.5, and put on 9 kg (18lb) so far. it's all in the positioning I recon as on sat night I was horrified at the fact I was 9 squares, so LO's obviously moved to a better position! lol.

also one of the girls in work reccons at 30 weeks she was measuring 36 weeks, her LO was only 8lb 13 she said, the other was 7.8 but was elective c 3 weeks early as her size was big again.

Bella23 · 10/01/2006 11:49

Good advice Rom on the early scan. I have phoned Kings Early Preg Unit and they have said that I can come down any morning and they will give me an early scan.
I don?t need a doctor?s referral as they dealt with me for the m/c
I have decided on Wed 25th January as I shall be almost 7 weeks then.

Feel a bit sick at the thought of going back there to be honest but know that its got to be done.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 10/01/2006 13:15

Well hurrah for me, dh came back from work, as raining to hard to do anything (was an outside job today!) so I left him in waiting for the delivery people, who still haven't been, sigh.. and went to get the car seats checked out and.....hurrah!! dd's car seat does fit the new car, it just needed to be on setting no2, so she's not quite sitting upright, which will probably miff her, but tough stuff until she's 3 when she can have a proper booster! and bump can have her seat bumps car seat also fits, so am very happy and considerably richer!!

Hope your all having a lovely day, better go and measure the tp.......wooo hoooo down to 9.5 sq's!!

munz · 10/01/2006 13:24

bella - glad u got ur scan booked in, fingers crossed for u hon.

friz - glad ur car seats are ok as well.

oh and they picked a girl to do my job - thankfully she's more customer service than me so I can return if I so wish.
