Munz, think Caddy once said daily ahem....

Oh girls, forgot to say, our bloody oven has broken down on us! (4yrs old, just out of 3 yrs warrenty)har har, just in time for Xmas, when obviously no one in their right mind, will say they can deliver us one in time, right....
So that's the Freezer, dishwasher and now the oven in the last month that have died.....we have electrical gremlins........and are very skint......

Nemoinapeartree · 12/12/2005 11:00

morning all

friz nightmare about the oven why does it always go at worst time!!!!!!!!!

Munz pelvic floor i think are supposed to be done as often as possible..lol I never remember although this time in pregnancy realise how bad mine is

Well at this time in 3 days I will probably be in labour. I am really excited but panicking too as head is right in pelvis making it impossible for me to open my legs very wide so dreading labour..lol Going to see a friends 2 wk old today with Adam in hope of him being soo taken by a baby that he will be excited about ours..lol

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 12/12/2005 11:39

Oh no Friz, that's terrible.
You might find someone who del's though. I ordered a freezer last week from John Lewis & it is coming on Wed.
These electrical things know you see!!!

Nemo, 3 days !!! Very exciting for you though.

Munz, I've been terrible at doing the pelvic floor things. I did hear that they are more important to do afterwards (with 2 weeks to go I would say that!!) and I guess you are probably more inclined to remember when you are incontinent!!

Hi Yingers, respect due to you to have 2!! I'm stressing about 1!
Hope the baby whisperer goes ok. You'll have to let me know how it compares to GF.

Lazy day for me today, just lots of raspberry leaf tea to drink.

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 12/12/2005 11:52

Friz, you should still be able to get del from Currys and poss Argos if you order quickly.

Cadmum · 12/12/2005 13:16

Pelvic floor excercises should be done several times daily!!! (Not that you don't know this already.) Enough said--I would hate to sound like a zealot!

I fully understand the starfish impression--ouch!

I am in a mad rush to sort out the house and our lives for the big move but I keep thinking of one more reason to hit the shops (and avoid packing). We did most of the Christmas gifts online to be delivered straight to DH's flat in New York but I still have a huge suitcase over-flowing with pressies. DH will not be very impressed...

I have a hair appt. on Saturday and I am SO looking forward to spending the time all by myself with no little people asking me endless questions. I haven't even had a trim since DH left in April.

Must run as DS2 is not impressed that I am still on the 'puter...

More later!

wewishyouamerryKITTYmas · 13/12/2005 12:11

hi ladies hope you are all doing well

Nemo - 2 days to go I am so I want this baby out now! 35+5 today so got a wee while to go, all sorted with DP as well thanks for asking.

George - RLT is horrid, I have the capsules instead but you have to take 6 a day and you get horrid after burps! Still it's worth a try DD was a 4 hour labour at 37+5 although I think this is more to do with her being an impatient little madam than RLT.

Munz - I think you are meant to do 3 sets of 20 pelvic floor exercises a day I try and do mine whilst at PC (on my exercise ball) think mine are shot to pieces though as I have to watch when I sneeze and also everything seems to be so low and heavy around the exit this time around.

BHs are horrid too I never had so much of a twinge before my waters went last time, this time I think my body is really gearing up for it.

So apart from the BHs, stitches when I walk, SPD/SI pain, acid reflux, feeling fat bloated and as if theres not enough room in there for the baby I'm feeling fine!! Sorry mini moan there.

dramaqueen72 · 13/12/2005 12:38

hey ladies.kitty -try changing you RLt brand, mine is very nice actually. heath and hearth or something v similar its called.
cadmum, good lcuk with christmas packing and bump!! these things are meant to try us......you'll be fine and when this baby does arrive it will all seem so calm after this mad bit!!! and good on you for your hair appointment, just had mine done and aside from scaring the heck out of the hairdresser, who worried I might give birth in her chair....it was fabulous. must book more things like that, tho I always suffer from guilt when I do...(duh me!)
george, I'm not ignoring you on here, i just 'speak' to you on the other dec thread!!!
nemo how did adam like the newborn baby at your friends???
and friz, sorry about the oven, honestly george and I have been thro the same kinda thing, everything breaking down. I went without heating for two weeks (in that really cold spell) and it got fixed the DAY before my midwife was due round for home check pre-homebirth! cutting it fine.... and costing us hundreds and hundreds. great timing!!!
well am hurting but alright, poss midwife will do some kinda check tomorrow to see if my body is just falling apart or actually early early creakings of labour..... dont mind how long baby hangs in if it just didnt hurt so much til labour!!!! painful BH seem so unfair you know?
hugs to everyone, hope all beanies are doing well.

munz · 13/12/2005 13:11

thanks for the info kitty - must really do mine, is it too late at 30 weeks?

cads - good to have u back honney. hope hte house move goes well, i'm assuming if all's ok wiht a house etc and schooling u'll be stopping in NY permanatly? with NYC traffic - get there a week in advance! lol. welcome to the 3rd tri as well!

Nemo - ooh 2 days to go fingers crossed it goes smoothly and quickly for you.

rom - welcome to the 3rd tri my friend! it's fab u have extra weight no sleep and cramps! lol. (or is that just me! lol) - ooh and there's no such thing as too much choccy! lol - have I taught u nothing! lol. not long now till ur leave is it - got an apt this avo to talk about mine now i've got my MATB1 form. 7 days this side of xmas and hopefully 25 the other (working days that is)

george - yes' it's flown by, but then again so has all of u dec girls being ready to drop! lol. looks like nemo's our first dec baby then??

yingers - glad all's well with your two LO's.

DQ - how r u honney? hope this baby moves a bit for a more comfortable position for u, either that or labours immenant and quick.

friz - awwww hope u're ribs are ok - thankfully little Jake's stopping in the nice position head down and fully co-operating with my body so no rib kicks only side ones! lol. as for the oven, on the plus least u've had ur 3, have uu tried curry's/commet - they sometimes do the ones where u take it away the same day. failing that we have a local shop where if u buy in the am they deliver in the pm - do u have anything like that close by?

anyhow had m/w apt today bump's measuring perfect size. I was told not to worry about him being 1cm big from last time he's perfect this time which is good. they had to stab me 3 times to get the blood out! lol - veins didn't want to play ball! nice strong heart, he's head down (which prob doesn't matter at this stage as he'll move) anti natal to start after xmas as there's only one this side of xmas and they're changing it all anyhow. (and was yet another m/w) but this one's now said to go every 2 weeks so off again on the 29th. DH has also noticed (I didn't was asleep when he was experimenting on me! lol) that if he poked jake he was kicking back in the same spot! lol - DH is now v excited about it! lol.

hope all's well in general thou and u dec girls don't have too long to wait.

munz · 13/12/2005 13:18

TP tues girls, come on what r u all?? i've managed to shrink back to 8 squares - do u believe it?? - how do u go from 9 squares back to 8??? obviously the stuff ur face deit's working! lol

romilly · 13/12/2005 18:56

hi beanie brigade sorry i havent been able to post much, last eight days of work so they are getting their monies worth out of me been checking up on you all though, and i think this is such an exciting time, so many of you nearly there. sorry DQ is having lots of aches and pains, and nemo and george and SK too. wont be long now, hang in there girls.

friz - had to laugh at your electrical gremlins, i think they have paid me a visit this week too. first the boiler went, then the shower thermostat, then the kettle and toaster why does it always happen at once. also we have been outbid on sealed bids with the house we wanted to buy (thats the third time that has happened to us). trying to keep it all in perspective and just think of beanie being healthy and blood pressure staying low.

munz - lol @ shrinking back to 8 TP squares, i am stuck on 8 and a half still - quite amazing considering my chocolate intake last week. reckon we will be up to 9 by xmas!

caddy - so pleased you are sounding happier, although i know you still have a lot on your plate with the move. hope it all goes very smoothly for you.

catch up more later, must go and put decs on the tree

Frizbethebumpedupreindeer · 13/12/2005 20:06

Oh Rom re the house and re the electrical gremlins down your way too, they're very busy this week aren't they!
Thanks for the suggestions of commet/currys gals, currently debating what to do with dh, as we've found the oven we want online for £100, less than either of those two! plus with it having to be a fitted oven, both of the two above mentioned stores (Derby) have said they don't carry those in stock in the shops, so will have to send out from warehouse, so waiting for dh to make a decision as to where he wants to spend the cash really! ( I could be in for a long wait.....)

Looks like a hair day then girls (DQ and Cadmum too!) I spent 3.5hrs at the hairdressers today different girl to normal one! but I now look fab! even if I do say so myself!

Big hugs{{{}}}}}} to all of you hurting with braxtons and poss early labour pains out there.

TP Tues, shows I'm back to 8.5sqs this week!

munz · 14/12/2005 07:51

awww friz u've shrunk as well? lol - must be these babies of ours moving about! lol.

had an informal chat with the boss - started a new thread in PG called mat leave and employment, as i'm not sure what to do. bos is saying I can take Jake to work with me - but DH is saying well I can have him. - but at 3 months old i'm reluctant to leave him for 3 hours. - is that sad? what would u girls do any advice would be greatly appriciated.

hope everyone's ok today, any news dec girls - in fact off to be nosey! lol.

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 14/12/2005 09:21

Hey all,
Munz, didn't know you had picked Jake, what fantastic taste you have in names, we have that down for a boy too
As far as your work goes, I would wait for a while to see how you are feeling after the birth. It may be that you would welcome the time away from the little one or the complete opposite. I don't think you can decide til you have had little Jake.

Will you girls stop shrinking!! I haven't measured for a while but I'll go & do it in a sec to give you a laugh!!

Sorry about the electrical gremlins hitting your Rom, isn't it a pain. New freezer arriving today for me - woohoo!
Bad news on your house too Hopefully there will be lots on the market after Christmas for you.

My work Xmas party last night & baby was going mad through fear or excitement at all the noise. Was half hoping it might start me off but no such luck. Funny watching everyone get more & more drunk and louder & louder, I bet they are poorly today!!

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 14/12/2005 09:24

Just measured but I'm coming in at a disappointing 9 squares.
I think it is because the bump is all at the front in a long kind of sausage.
Honestly, I'm massive though.

munz · 14/12/2005 09:31

george u have an excuse! lol. u're near popping so u're bound to be bigger! hope i'm only 9 squares at 9 months - althou i've read (sure it was on the march board) one of our lady's is small cos the baby's laying flat out ifcwim and not scrunched into a ball.

i've aquired another strech mark - this time on the top

still on wiht jake - it's lovely isn't it george. do u know what u're having yet?

wonder if nemo's gone in yet.

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 09:41

morning all

hope your all ok.

rom hope there are loads of houses for you after xmas and how typical for things to mess up!!!

munz wow about your boss letting you take Jake to work. It isnt sad at all to not want to leave him for 3 hrs. I felt the same with Adam and after 3mths back at work ended up giving up.

george bless ya at only being 9 squares still. I am about 11 but am still smaller than I was with Adam..lol

Well I am petrified..lol Think because it is a year to the day that we found out about missed mc that is really playing on my mind. Why I didnt realise before I dont know. Now all I keep thinking is I am not going to come away from this with a baby or something really horrible is going to happen...nothing like being optimistic hey!!

munz · 14/12/2005 09:44

aww nemo ((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) I think it's prob just nerves mixed in with everything honney. Just think in one more day (hopefully) you'll be holding your little bundle in your arms. and it will all go smoothly. are you already for him/her?

Nemoinapeartree · 14/12/2005 09:52

munz think I am as ready as will ever be..lol I have hardly thought about the baby this time which is strange but all focus has been on adam. Even with other people I think it has been the same. Enjoy being pg with only baby to think about as it is last time it will happen!!! Strange to think this is my last day pg possibly forever

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 14/12/2005 10:44

Don't know what we are having Munz, still a surprise to help me push him/her out (along with the bottle of champagne that DP will be dangling in front of me!!)

Nemo, nothing bad will happen, it will all be fine & you will have a gorgeous little bundle to bring home & I will be very
Now, feet up & eat as much choccy as you can.

munz · 14/12/2005 10:46

ooh yes nemo agree - as much choccy as u can manage over hte next day! u never know might all be over by this time tomorrow - hopefully it will be.

george - champers - hmmmm like that idea - althou DH is under strict instructions to fetch me up a soft boiled egg and soliders followed by a nice taboo and lemonade! lol.

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 14/12/2005 10:49

Yummy, might take some digestives & stilton to the hospital too. I so want a christmas with blue cheese!!

munz · 14/12/2005 10:57

hmmm stilton - each to his own! lol - i'm strictly a cathedral city type of a gal - and even that has to be thinly cut! lol.

romilly · 14/12/2005 11:01

nice to see the beanie ladies are being chatty today i absolutely do not have time to be on here which is why i couldnt resist, lol...

nemo - thinking of you hun, it will all be alright - think positive, you are so close now to meeting your beautiful new addition to the family.

george - when is your actual due date? well done making it to the office xmas party, think i would have skived!

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 14/12/2005 11:02

Oh no, I'm off.......pickled onions, milky coffee, sunday dinners.......I've so missed all of them.

romilly · 14/12/2005 11:02
