Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sweetkitty · 19/11/2005 15:56

hi all

Not too worried about babe being back to back I'm sure she just turns around from time to time, she'll be a good girl and turn when she's ready!

Bit jealous of you girls having babies before Christmas, think I would like Christmas with a tiny newborn (DP running around me on sofa feet up feeding).

Romilly - your boss sounds like an utter w*** I would have rushed out crying and clutching my stomach that would have sorted him out!

Nemo - good luck with the nursery we've decided to hold off decorating the spare room for a bit as DD2 will be in with us for a good while, can't see her moving out until I've stopped breastfeeding. She's got her own chest of drawers in DD1's room though filled with loads of little pink baby things.

Munz - love the name Jake too

hope everyone else is having a good weekend too

munz · 19/11/2005 16:21

nemo - glad u're sitting down.

rom - don't worry if u read on the march thread I think it was rosie who didn't leak or anything and had no probs feeding/expressing not all women leak - trust me it's not v nice cos i'm paranoid all day in work - althou if we do run out of milk for tea! [barf emotion!] lol! (thankfully it's only a drop of the clear stuff at the mo.)

munz · 19/11/2005 16:22

sk - u forgot him doingthe roast nad washing up! lol.

sweetkitty · 19/11/2005 16:35

I didn't really leak first time just a wee tiny bit of colostrum if I squeeze them. Same this time. Don't worry about it.

I breastfed DD for a year just wait till your milk comes in and you have 5 jets spraying milk it's great!

Nemo1977 · 19/11/2005 17:57

hello

rom you wont have probs bf with adam i didnt have any leaking or even if I squeezed there was nothing and I bf adam for 3 wks and he was a big hungry baby!!!

SK we havent redecorated room but it was just sorting it out, we moved adam into his own room at 8wks and will probably do same again as I am a very very very light sleeper so baby snuffling used to keep me awake..lol

Anyways it is done...wooooo hoooooooo I feel so relieved as I know baby will be here this time in 4wks and last couple of weeks I want to be doing as little as possible. So I know have clothes sorted, a room and all I have left to do is hoover/mop the floor and put rug back. Got 3 binbags of stuff for tip but dh has my car today and tommorow because of his breaking down on thurs night.

Frizbe · 21/11/2005 15:33

Aww Nemo your all sorted how fab

Well I've been nesting today! been out and brought
1 x Huggies Nappies (together with free wipes and travel box) to get my free change bag, which is bigger than the one I got with dd, so hurrah!
1 x Avent freebie kit!!
1 x Maternity Pads
1 x General extra soak up pads
1 x Disposable knickers

Thus if it all goes awry now, at least I have some stock in to keep me going/lob in a bag and rush to hospital!! pity about the baby clothes still being in the loft! lets hope they're not needed in a hurry, ahem!

Hope all had a good weekend, Rom see march thread re your boss!!

Oh we've decided on Neve for a name or should we do the irish spelling (Niamh) ?

sweetkitty · 21/11/2005 15:39

Glad you are getting all sorted Nemo and Frizbe, am planning to have it all done by 35 weeks (am 32 just now so a little while to go).

Frizbe word of warning don't know if this is your first or not (if it isn't don't want to be patronising) I bought 3 packs of maternity pads last time and the first thing I did when I got out of hospital with DD was straight round Sainsburys for some Always. You need absolutely loads. Disposable knickers are great for the first day but a great mumsnet tip is to get laods of cheap big pants from Asda et al then throw them away afterwards. Oh and get loads of breastpads too.

oh the joys {grin]

Frizbe · 21/11/2005 18:16

Hi SK, no its my 2nd (3rd if you count step kids!) that's why I only brought one pack of the new boots ultra thin maternity pads, then I got always!! supersoaker upers!!

romilly · 21/11/2005 20:30

i am getting very excited for you girls, 32/35 weeks so nearly there!

friz - thanks for message on march thread.

anyone ever had really sharp pains in the rib area, just below your boobs - i am getting them quite frequently lately and its not kicking cause i get that further down?

Nemo1977 · 22/11/2005 13:03

hellloooooo all

well I am in a fab mood today. PSychatrist was an arse but nevermind. Consultant fab and did a quick scan to see if baby was head down and checked spine but avoided by the legs as weve got so far now we dont want to know..lol So all ready for 3wks on thursday..eeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk am so scared but excited now I know baby isnt breech. Also came home to a letter from debt management company [as some of you know we have been very skint and struggling] well they are taking us on and part of it is that they sort out the tax credits people so we will be getting our money back..wooo hooo. Also means should be able to afford a meet up in the new year as they have worked out a budget that more than allows for us to have a bit of a life compared to the way we are now. I am sooooooooooo happy at the minute

sweetkitty · 22/11/2005 13:11

aww nemo so happy for you 3 weeks how exciting new baby for Christmas!!!

Frizbe - lol at your desciption of supersoaker uppers how true. I couldn't believe how mnay I went through last time. I feel like telling all first time mums nevermind about the Johnsons Baby whatevers you stock up on and never use, buy buy buy sanitary towels and breastpads instead!

romilly · 22/11/2005 13:16

sweetkitty and friz - i will make sure i have vast quantities of industrial sized sani pads then! a friend in RL told me the same thing

nemo - wonderful news that you are not breech - only 3 weeks is just unbelievably exciting...

Frizbe · 22/11/2005 14:34

Your friend was sooo right Rom!

Nemo, that's fab news

SK know what you mean re the johnsons etc, still have a pile from dd last time, still should hopefully all get used by the time the next one gets to 2!!

So girls, snow forecast for Thurs!! hurrah!! can't wait!! dd's just the right age for it this time round, but, bugger that I can't go sledging, may have to rope dh in!

Nemo1977 · 22/11/2005 15:10

dramaqueen72 · 22/11/2005 15:14

hello ladies long time no see!
tried to read and catch up, yeah right!! so never mind....
rom hows it going?
and cadmum/munz et al..........missed you guys but only just discovered I can save this thread so dont have to keep trying to find you!!LOL
I'm over 35wks now, had slight show, and vereeeeeeeeeeeee low bump....not long now!! (i could be racing you here nemo) exciting/scary stuff!

Cadmum · 23/11/2005 05:07

Munz: I am so glad that you received such great treatment at the hospital yesterday. I hope that you are still feeling well and that your little man is back to playing in-utero foot-ball. I do think that you did the best thing by being seen!

Romilly: You sure seem to be having a rough time of it all (rotten little woman-child!) How is your blood-pressure? Was there protein in your wee? Please, please do take care of yourself. Pre-eclampsia is no fun (been-there-done-that with DS1). I now have to moniter my blood pressure regularly as well but I am convinced that stress may be a slight factor in my case...

Cadmum · 23/11/2005 05:16

Nemo: Just caught up and wanted to say that I am so pleased that baby is head down and that all systems are go for 3 weeks from now! Great news about the debt issues too. Hope it gets sorted ASAP.

MeAndMyBoy · 23/11/2005 09:23

Cadmum Hellooooo - it's nice to see you back.

Rom just wanted to say that both me and my mum had that - it was on the right hand side and I used to end up sitting with my hand pressing down a little bit to ease it - DS had his feet in my ribs (think it was this toe nails actually!!)

(ps sorry for gate crashing)

Frizbe · 23/11/2005 14:52

gate crashing allowed!
Cadmum glad to see your back hope things are good with you.
DQ yikes racing nemo eh! ooohhh we have two new bubbas to lookforward to hearing about soon
Munz, glad all is ok, although what are you on to be floating?

romilly · 24/11/2005 13:38

thanks for posting Me&Myboy - there is no such thing as crashing on this thread, we are a very friendly bunch on here - i have tried doing the same thing ie. pressing down with my hand on the pain but it doesnt seem to help much. i am clueless as to what is causing it, i think it is too high up to be feet!

dramaqueen - hello stranger!!!! nice to hear from you hun. how are you feeling????? it is thrilling now that you girlies are all so close. i am doing fine thanks, less morning sickness now (which is truly wonderful) but more hypertension ! always something with me, lol

cadmum - nice to have you back also. i hear you on the stress thing, mine is work-stress though so very different from yours

hows george? are you 35 weeks too now?

off to hospital now so catch up later

munz · 24/11/2005 13:41

friz - lol, floating on MN not RL! lol, althou I do float in and out! lol.

promise to catch up with this one - just spent lunch doing the march thread! lol.

hope to do this one tomorrow! (DB is visiting till sat morning as he's off to OZ next week for 2 months)

Frizbe · 25/11/2005 20:31

Have a good weekend ladies!

Cadmum · 27/11/2005 03:38

My SIL had her baby 2 days ago. It was a GIRL! (She was told that she was carrying a boy...) Bit of a shock as Samuel is not really a perfect name for a daughter...

Frizbe · 27/11/2005 19:36

lol Cadmum, and congrats on your new niece!! was baby on time?

Hope all are well, shan't stop as dealing with a dd that keeps bouncing out of bed....

Nemo1977 · 28/11/2005 11:41

morning all..just. Been really quiet on here lately where is everyone hiding????

Cadmum congrates to your sil..my friend had a baby on fri aswell so really brought it home to me..lol

friz hope you have managed to sort out DD.

I have 17 days till induction. It is snowing here this morning so took adam in the garden this morning seeing as he woke me up with snow mummy snow and his wellies on with his pjs..lol So we went in garden for a bit then walked to local shops. Usually a half hour round trip but adam decided to walk the whole way there and back so took about an hour but he was sooo exctied about the snow it was worth it even if I do end up paying later..lol. Must admit was lovely to wake up with the snow and have tree up..lol
