Hi all

George i wasnt spoilt on friday.,..dh came home from work went on his computer then went to bed..sigh oh well another bday done..lol

We took adam to pil yesterday for fireworks and he loved them. Spent most of yesterday moving stuff around in living/dining room and taking stuff upstairs. This morning we finished off and I have cleaned the kitchen cupboards and thrown out 3 carrier bags of out of date food. Getting terrible BH the past 2 days but think its because I have been doing too much. ?They are strong enough to make me cry which i didnt even do when in labour with adam..glad the old trick of swivling my hips while on all fours is helping a bit..lol Got consultant on tues when I am asking about induction so fingers crossed. DH is off work this week to do decorating and the carpet is coming on thurs so busy week.
Got to go as said a quick one and pains are coming back.
take care

Frizbe · 07/11/2005 08:47

Nemo, sorry to hear your in pain, but remember it makes the birth not seem as bad! it builds your tolerance levels up, talking of which I seem to be trapping something in a pelvic joint on the left today (ouch!)
Also sorry your dh just came in did the comp thing and went to bed, men eh! I had a paddy at mine yesterday,(complained I was feeling like a single parent) as I'd had to pop out am to show a client around a place, then when I got in dh just disappeared onto his computer, ggrrrrrr, I'd just gotten dd ready to leave the house, when he realised I was about to do a bunk and came down grovelling and then took us out to dinner!

George we've managed to find somewhere to stay relativly close to the coast in South Devon! (about 15 miles away!) sleeps 4, but luckily under 2's don't count!! phew for the next two years at least!! tis an organic farm, with sheep/beef?! and miniature shetland ponies apparently! looks v nice tho, although still debating whether we'll need a travel stair gate for dd by then.......don't want any sleepwalking down strange stairs during the night.....argh!

Well off to do some work for a bit girls, then play with our various electrical appliances which have packed up this weekend, sat, freezer bit of fridge freezer packed up (the 2nd freezer we've killed this year?! both oldish ones, the 1st to die was my old one, this one is dh's old one!) and then yesterday the bleedin dishwasher threw in the towel, although I'm hoping we can fix that ourselves with a bit of tinkering.....hoping its a jam somewhere rather than the setting chip thing gone....

Hope you all have a good monday ladies

romilly · 07/11/2005 10:46

morning all

nemo - birthdays do seem to come and go in a blast of anti-climax as you get older i'm afraid!

friz - first your door, then the fridge and now your dishwasher ! well hopefully thats three things now so no more breakdowns, lol. we had our boiler, the tumble-dryer and the car last week! costs a small fortune.

george and dq - really cant believe how close you are now!

munz - are you getting more frequent kicking now - i am .

where is cadmum?

as for me, well guess what - i am still feeling really sick - can you believe it? i'm beginning to wonder if it is just going to be the whole term for me. today i feel sick and tired and generally really bleurgh!!!!!!!!!!!

george32 · 07/11/2005 13:03

Rom, can't believe you are still feeling sick . You must be having a terrible time of it. Hope you are having a few short days & sickies off work to compensate.

Can I add my list of things that have blown up on us (fortuntely not literally!).......boiler, freezer and downstairs loo (some strange kind of saniflo thing!!). Plus cat has wee'd in the bathroom - argh!!!! Any one want a huge black & white cat?? Too lazy to struggle outside to wee esp if it is raining plus getting a bit fat to fit through the cat flap. (Think front legs out, back legs in and his barrel tummy stuck straight in the middle ).

Frizbe · 07/11/2005 13:14

lol at Cat image George do you a swap for a daft white furry one, which is that thick it struggles to climb fences......oh and dd uses it to brush the hall floor!
Ah another two people with blown up things, so its not just me?!! exactly when we don't need the expense eh girls.....and to top it all dh is off work today ill..........(a cold, men eh!)

romilly · 07/11/2005 14:06

lol @ your cats george and friz. no thank you to both of them! i used to have a schizo/psycho black & white cat who attacked and spat at everything that came too close to her personal zone and a very cute fatty black furball one who had the same problem as georges with the catflap - in the end she was so enormous she couldnt squeeze out of it so kept pooing in the bath! gross. sadly both are now R.I.P. and believe it or not we do miss them!

romilly · 07/11/2005 14:17

oh and george - no i am not taking time off work, if anything longer days - everyone who comes in says i look "a bit green"!

doesnt it make you sick when you read the papers and they say women are still paid 18% less than men on average. i can certainly vouch for that in my profession although i would say it is more like 50% less!

george32 · 07/11/2005 14:36

Oh Rom, how dedicated are you!!!
Can you not get your mw to sign you off for a week? My mw was telling me about a lady she sees who was having a dreadful time at work so she just signed her off for 5 weeks (til her maternity leave!!). Wish I'd known about that before, I'd have got signed off rather than taking my leave early!!

Friz, LOL at using the cat to clean the floor! I've got a mental black fluffy one too & she insists on coughing up furballs - it's grim!!! Never get a long haired cat!!!
My fat cat can't climb fences but that's because of his tremendous bulk!!

LOL Rom, probably easier to miss them when you don't have to clean poo out the bath!!

romilly · 07/11/2005 14:43

that is so true george - i didnt find her at all cute when i found surprises for me in the bathroom! especially as that was the first time i was pregnant and i was paranoid about toxoplasmosis

interesting info about your midwife signing someone off. i already used up two weeks of my holiday time before i had told my boss i was pg. cause i was puking so much i couldnt come in so had to take it as a fake holiday. kind of annoying isnt it.

george32 · 07/11/2005 14:47

Definitely time for you to get some sickie time then. Being sick for months on end - a pretty good reason why you shouldn't be at work.
My mw takes the attitude that it's not worth taking the risk and if they are being rubbish at work then all the more reason to be off.

romilly · 07/11/2005 15:04

like the sound of your midwife - good attitude

Frizbe · 08/11/2005 09:50

Yikes am I the 1st person on here for TP Tuesday!!
Well I'm holding at 9 sheets girls! although bump appears a tad lumpy today, think I have an arm or leg sticking out!!
Rom, take some time off sick, if you do it now, before you produce your MATB1, the co can't force you to take early maternity!!
George we sure have daft animals eh!
Hope all are ok, we had a disturbed nights sleep, as dd is full of cold this week, bloomin nursery eh! but luckily she kept calling out for daddy, not me much to daddys disgust!! she just screamed louder when I tried to calm her down, would only shut up for him (daddys girl!) wooo hooooo, result!! only called for me at 6.30am today, which I can handle nicely!!

george32 · 08/11/2005 11:39

Not much sleep here either and that is with DP away so no excuses for anyone waking me! I'm getting really uncomfy at night now with my ribs really hurting me on my right side. (Oh dear, I sound like I'm in a poor me mood again today!! )

I've measured and I've dropped back to 8½ sheets but I haven't done much eating yet today so I might measure again later!! I'm munching through a pack of chocolate digestives to help it on it's way!

sweetkitty · 08/11/2005 12:39

hi just checking in to see how you are all doing. Would echo the sleeping, could not get comfy at all last night turned over this morning and could hear my pelvis crack. Had physio last week and it was ok she just said do some of these exercises, sit on an exercise ball as much as you can, heres a very sexy belt thing for when you are walking around. Oh and don't lift your toddler that much!!??

I have a bum under the right hand side of my rib cage makes me a bit breathless on that side and generally uncomfy.

George - I too have a very fat black and white cat (and 2 not so fat tabbies) mine are indoor cats not that I think the fat one would venture outside. He's very tolerant of DD too and she adores him (I think he cannot be bothered to get out her way) she just hugs him and thinks he's a teddy.

dramaqueen72 · 08/11/2005 15:52

checking in on you ladies. keep losing this thread and not being able to find it.LOL
hope all is well, am trying to read and catch up........................

Frizbe · 08/11/2005 16:39

Hi DQ!
SK bless your dd, cat hugging, dd always tries to lift ours up, to his disgust!
George, wonder if your bump has decreased due to it moving into postition?
Yuk, its starting to rain!
Well who would like to join me in a cuppa and some orange loaf cake when it comes out of the oven? yummy....
Been doing the domestic thing, have done ironing, cleaned two bathromms and 3 toilet plus the rest of the house is now hoovered, mop'd and dust free (for about 2 hrs) phew, even been to the tip, as more rubbish than bin space.....and dh reckons he's going to tidy out dd's new room tomorrow....watch this space!

george32 · 08/11/2005 17:32

LOL Friz, the nesting has hit then??
Well finished my room painting and then, just to make a change, fell asleep. How did I ever manage when I was at work???
I am totally pathetic, one bit of work & I'm out for the count!!

LOL at your cat not being bothered to get out of the way SK . I just love big fat squashy cats!!

munz · 08/11/2005 19:57

quick check in how r u girls? friz- i'll trade u a slice for one of my lemon bun cakes! - ooh damnation missed eastenders anyhow, will be back in work tomorrow- hopefully- the hard drive's knackered hping the techno dude can fix it for me - or at least let me get some files off it - damn the person who didn't make me back it up! lol.

sweetkitty · 08/11/2005 23:09

I'm very proud of myself, DP and I went to Ikea a while back and bought loads of stuff for this house most of which is still in the packs today I put up a curtain pole and curtains, hemmed them and everything DP is on a course so staying out tonight so that will be a surprise for him. I'm fed up tripping over all the DIY stuff. Not as bad last time I painted the living room and spare room at 33 weeks! Definite nesting.

My DD has a lovely but odd habit, she grabs your hand/toes/any bit of skin and holds it in one hand whilst sucking her thumb of the other, she is always doing this to the cat. Cat doesn't bother too much. Think it goes back to me holding her hand whilst she was feeding.

Nemo1977 · 09/11/2005 10:22

hi all
hope your ok..sorry not been on but in the middle of decorating hell at the min. Currently relugated to upstairs with adam which is a tip as half furniture from downstairs is up here..lol New carpet comes tommorow so dh and his dad are wallpapering today. I cant wait for it all to be done!!!Then hopefully new couches next week.
Saw consultant yesterday and am being induced on the 15th dec if baby isn there which means I will have a xmas baby...yayyyyy

take care all and will try and catch up adam permitting

george32 · 09/11/2005 10:26

SK, I keep surprising my DP with little jobs and he tells me off for moving things or doing too much. Hope you weren't up a ladder to put that curtain pole up - a big no no apparently

Gorgeous image of your DD and cat now. I love the fact that the cat isn't fussed and lets her. It must be like having a real life toy for her.

hey Munz, how are you doing? How far along are you now? Oh, the time is racing by!!!

Cadmum, hope you are OK, you have gone awfully quiet.

george32 · 09/11/2005 10:29

Hi Nemo, at least you don't have to do it yourself!! (I will teach my DP how to love DIY one day!)
It won't be long & it will all look lovely.

I'm that you will have your little one on Christmas day. Just think of all those gorgeous Christmas outfits you can get
Plus you will be able to enjoy your Christmas dinner.

Nemo1977 · 09/11/2005 10:41

george32 · 09/11/2005 11:06

I'll be there with my glass of ribena and a cottage cheese sandwich

Nemo1977 · 09/11/2005 11:08
