Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sweetkitty · 02/11/2005 15:53

I'm 8 sheets too (29+6 today)

Feel really guilty have bought nothing so far for this baby, as DD1 is only 15 months and we know this one is a girl we have most things already, still need bedside cot and a double pram though. Also as DD was a July baby a lot of her really little clothes are summery so will have to have a sort through first. Will have to buy some cute little outfits for DD2 though as well.

Frizbe · 02/11/2005 16:40

grrrr at you sk! you jammy git I'm 23 weeks and 9 sheets!!! which should make Munz feel better

Dyzzidi boys n their toys eh! have just found out off my mum, that my dear dh has given them a voucher for £100 off a holiday to be used by March next year (so we can't go as me preggers) but what I'd like to know is what he's brought to get a £100 off voucher?! (hopefully a nice Xmas prezzie for me!)

Rom, I'd shop around for Cots, Ikea quite good, John Lewis also v good, some of the online stores like kidzdens (.com), good as well!

Nemo just 2 as well then eh, looks like we have our work cut out for us Are you double buggying it or buggy boarding it? just asking for my personal survey!
Oh and you must have a very good looking dh, for the midwife to remember him!

munz · 02/11/2005 18:48

evenign all!

friz - well not really cos this is ur second - and i'm on my first (well first successful so far) althou I'm hoping there's a lot of water - cos i'm not peeing much (tmi) althou tum at the bottom (where ds's head was is v firm and hard - or could that just be the placenta cos apparently that's at the front?) - no idea what differnce that makes! lol

sk - only 8 sheets indeed! lol

george - how far along are u now? r u all ready?

rom - 8 sheets indeed as well. how rude of the m/w to appear board, althou i've seen a diffenrt m/w every time i've been in there. (and not once had my pee checked - only bp a quick listen and off u go! u shoping in London - trade u shopping down here - we have (wait for it) a M&P stockist (small one) in our town then mother care is 35 miles away (small one) and then 60 miles away we have babies r us and a big mother care! lol - might suggest to DH we go to cardiff for the day but it's a 2.5 hour drive up there. got me list ready thou!

nemo - lol@ ur m/w remeberin DH and adam - as friz says u must have a v good looking DH - or he must have done something remarkable to make a lasting impression! lol

dyz - lol@ ur DH - boysntoys eh! now honestly girl - why wouldn't u need a new cd player for the car! can't think how u'll manage without it! lol. u should see the link my DH did on the daddy's thread - it's a baby grow which sweeps the floor - and he wonders why i've said no to it! and naturally u're being hormonal at him! lol. still it's good he's closer around ur due date.

J&RM - 9 days already can't beelive how quickly it's gone - is DH back on mondya to work?

cads - how r u hon? - could u move up to NY anyways? - the whole situation sounds nasty - I know how down u've been about the town.

munz · 02/11/2005 18:50

here u go now I ask u really!

Harrizeb · 02/11/2005 19:57

PMSL!!!

george32 · 03/11/2005 08:42

PMSL Munz, I love it!!!

I'm 32 weeks today and I look it (& feel it). We are getting there with preparing. Furniture arriving today, I've got some more painting to do then carpet next week. DP has now realised why I want to get everything ready by the beginning of Dec, the NCT teacher said that a baby is considered full term if it is del'd anywhere between 37 & 42 weeks . He was thinking due date 29th, arrive poss a week after that, loads of time. With a 40% chance of it coming earlier he had a bit of a shock.

Have you found out what your DH has bought yet Friz? For his sake I hope its a pressie for you!

Rom, please don't think it's dec already - I'm in so much trouble if it is!!

sweetkitty · 03/11/2005 09:51

Munz - pmsl thats fab!

George - yes I would get everything ready a good few weeks in advance. Last time I figured I was going to get it all done in the 3 weeks of maternity leave before due date, of course baby decided she was coming at 37+5 weeks. Had DP rushing out to buy the car seat base and a moses basket when I was in hospital, had most things ready but was not mentally prepared (if that makes sense) of course this time will have everything ready and baby will be 2 weeks late. Although MW said they follow a pattern and this one will be a little early and a lot quicker (last one was 4 hours!)

Measured bump with tape measure last night and it's 38 inches

Sleep training with DD is going really well she's still waking about twice a night but it only takes you to go in and settle her back down and she's fine with that.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

romilly · 03/11/2005 12:40

munz - classic!!!!! do you think they accept paypal

Bella23 · 03/11/2005 15:00

Hello ladies.
Thought I had better check in.
WOW - sounds like you are all literally blooming - how glorious!!
Rom - sorry about the sickness hon...sounds like a mare!!

Thanks for all thinking of me - I know that you are all willing me on - such a lovely bunch of ladies!!

To be honest I am just trying to forget about TTC at the moment (yeh right easier said than done), still doing persona and bding at the right time but aren't really expecting to get lucky. Am just trying to look towards January when we are going to go to a private clinic. All feels a bit like climbing a huge mountain at the moment, hopefully in the new year I will find some enthusiasm. Getting pregnant just seems so unattainable...

DH is being a star and has given up the booze totally and is ramming vits down his throat, bless him.

Anyway don't want to bring down such a happy thread - keep up the good work ladies - sounds like those babies are growing nicely. xx

Frizbe · 03/11/2005 16:11

Bella, don't be silly, you won't bring us down, its lovely to hear from you, glad you doing ok and looks like things are on the up for you, lots of baby dust heading your way for Nov/Dec

Munz lol at photo! we'd get one, but with dd still using the cat to clean the floor every now and again, don't think we need to! (new baby will no doubt think of that one too! yes our cat is very dozy)

SK, crikey you should be mega quick this time home birth is it?

George, he reckons he got given it last week when in town, for a new travel store opening in town this weekend...boooo says I! oh well, back to looking at those UK holiday cottages for next year!

george32 · 03/11/2005 16:46

Hey Bella, lovely to hear from you
You certainly don't bring down the thread. We are all still willing you on! And I'm sure all of us will still be here when you get that BFP and offering our words of wisdom (Ha Ha Ha ).

Your DH sounds lovely, giving up booze and taking all those vits.

You keep going, it will happen.

Nemo1977 · 04/11/2005 09:03

Frizbe - yes I'm hoping for about a 10 minute labour this time am hoping for a homebirth depends if I can get to 39 weeks though as thats all the cover the midwives will do (3 weeks)!

Bella - sending you some baby dust, maybe

Bella pouring down with rain here but i dont mind...today has reminded me how lovely people can be as a couple of the other mums had bought me presents and cards at toddlers which was sweet especially as i hadnt told them it was my birthday one had spoken to dh in the week who must have mentioned it.

george32 · 04/11/2005 15:52

Glad your lunch went OK.
I hope you get thoroughly spoiled tonight by your DH.

Frizbe · 04/11/2005 16:29

Aww that's very nice of them Nemo, Happy Birthday! hope the rest of the day goes well and dh does something nice for you upon his return

Well personally a bit miffed this afternoon, as our house is relativly new (4yrs old now), but the front door has recently warped, and there are bits starting to fall off the windows, a bit of grouting needs doing etc etc.......so I rang NHBC who said only grouting covered, but has to be over £680 worth, which I don't think it is (Yet!) so can't get that done, doors n windows not covered unless there is water inbetween the double glazing.....they suggested I ring the developers, who would tell me if still guranteed by the fitting co, and guess what, yep the fitting co have gone out of business, not *** surprised considering the state of their items......grrrrr....will now have to pay for new door and asstd bits to be done on windows etc......pah!

romilly · 04/11/2005 17:22

happy birthday nemo!!!!

bella - lovely to hear d/h is doing all he can and lovely to hear from you x

friz - my door has warped in the colder weather too, and its not new, its victorian!

no time so catch up with you all later....

Frizbe · 04/11/2005 19:37

Rom I wish ours had warped in the colder weather there might be hope of getting it to go back!

munz · 05/11/2005 09:50

george - 32 weks eh! lol. not long now for all u dec girls to start popping! lol. wonder who it's gonna be first.

Bella - u're always welcome here, and we'll be having no more silly talk of bringin threads down! we worry tbh when u're not around for a while that's all. glad ur DH is being v pro active - jeddah's DH took zinc and it improved his count 5 fold so she says - so fingers crossed will work for u guys as well.

friz - lol@ ur DD and the cat! - do u think our DSG will let DS do it with his tail! lol. (come to think of it the staff does it by herself! lol) Blakes cottages are good for the UK - we went to one in tavistock inside pool etc little farm out side play area lots of local activities/farms - for a week for a one bed it was £250 (was self catering thou and had to pay electric so approx £40 for that) v pleased thou.

nemo - happy b'day for yesterday hope u had a lovely day.

off for a bit of toast and relaxing then to wake DH up! bless him tidied up the whole house yesterday!

Frizbe · 05/11/2005 15:20
