Yeah Cadmum, sorry that was me (but theres no fat bloater emoticon ) currently trogging my way thru some marmite on toast too!

So anyway congrats to you and Rom on reaching 20 weeks!

J&BM hope Jess is enjoying all the attention, and that you get some rest tonight, and drop very soon (early tomorrow am?)

George, am guessing you have feet or knees in the ribs?! usually something sticking somewhere makes it painful, I think Munz noted that on her scan earlier she'd been getting rib pains and that's where her beanie had been sticking feet!!

Well looks like bump is getting bigger here, (its all the food honest!) dreading TP tuesday! had trouble sleeping on my right last night for 1st time, as bump appeared to be all over that way, so was uncomfy!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 21/10/2005 21:24

Cant drop before lunchtime tomorrow - ive decided!

Dad is on hols now for a week (works in a school) and is having Jess from tomorrow for a few days so i can rest up..... ill miss her like crazy but she will get undivided attention from her grandad!

Just packed all her stuff up..... quite sad really, but i know its for the best!

lol, knowing your luck, she'll have been with GP for an hour and you'll go into labour!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 21/10/2005 21:57

Friz - that wouldnt matter too much - i know i wouldnt get my rest, but at least she will be cared for and i can go straight to hospital without waiting fro dad to turn up here (he lives 25 miles away!)

Friz your brave to potty train..lol DS was 2 on the 10th and was doing really well on the potty until I went to a friends for the day where he refused to go as he was busy playing...since then he now asks for a nappy or refuses to take his nappy off...lol

JABM hope you have a nice break and jess will love it .

dramaqueen72 · 21/10/2005 22:46

evening ladies
right -
munz -congratulations on your son!!! I had a son first too! what are you thinking of calling him?
J&BM, this baby will come, you just take it easy now and rest LOTS (soon rest will be a distant memory)
george -rib pain? well eps if that baby of yours is breech or transverse lie you will have more than feet in your rib cage. baby will shift and give you some respite, but nobody can say when I have terrible pains in my back (feet there!) and on my side next to my belly button on the right, where head AND feet are (its very curled up, but with butt down!!)
Yingers, think I prob missed you but saw someone fitting your description walk by the scan stand (its not veyr obviously a scan stand, trust me) and kinda catch my eye....were you in red and black? I was filling in a form.if it wasnt you I think I freaked someone else out!LOL
we were there about ten/fifteen minutes before you left and spent most of today there.
I couldnt find half the stalls -why the heck they couldnt lay it out in a nice easy grid so you could walk up and down I dont know!!!!
got a few freebies, and some good bargain -simple babywipes being the best (two large packs and two travel packs for £3 the lot!!)
we bought -- a light fitting for the babys room, its very cute, like a sky and bunch of clouds with a red plane attached to it (oh that was sucha great description!NOT!) a brilliant fleecy wrap blanket thing, some organic cotton stuff, a gorgeous poss not actually essential changing bag, a tummy tub, um..and a few other bits too. disappointed at lack of furniture there, hardly any, as we wanted to see and actually touch a few bedside cots and couldnt. and disappointed at some stals idea of show bargain, some had NO buy at show get special price offers whatso ever, and some had a lousey 10% off. other had a much better idea and had a good third off things. lots of lovely friendly people, not too much hard sell, and plenty of different things. NOT enough chairs -the number of pg ladies sat on the floor or ladies bfing on the floor was quite shocking to me!!, hoep all that helps you decide if you should call in rom if youre shopping for baby things right now -go, if not, -dont!
my 4d scan was very sweet to see. I'm not convinced I'd pay over £100 for it tho! (ours was a shorter £30 at show sample thing) our baby was asleep, and had part of the cord across its face, so tho i got some lovely pictures, its wasnt as easy or as clear as I thought it would be. got a couple tho where sleeping baby face is the SPITTING IMAGE of dh and dd2. and two very very cute feet shots. looking at the baby yawning and sighing and rubbing eyes was lovely tho. bless.
cadmum, glad your bean is a wriggly one, reassuring you that way. sorry youre so tired and not posting much, miss your posts!

Frizbe · 22/10/2005 09:38

aww DQ the scan sounds lovely wish we could afford one, sigh.....
Nemo, I know I'm a looney, but two in nappies at once is something I'm keen to avoid! as it is, I seem to have worked something out with dd, although its costing me in chocolate buttons....every time she goes on the potty she gets one choc button, so far the last 4 wees of yesterday were on the potty and she's sat on it for two trickles and a huge wee this am I think we may be onto a winner!! I've explained to her that once she really gets the hang of things, we'll move onto a star chart and she can have a 'big' treat at the end of each week, so fingers x'd...I think it helps that even as a baby, whilst others would sit in wee or poo in their nappies, dd would always whine!( scream the place down!)

Frizbe · 22/10/2005 09:39

J&BM come on lass!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 22/10/2005 09:41

i think my waters might be going - not sure. feeling a bit damp down there this morning, so am wearing a pad and will see what happens. not holding out much hope - probably just wetting myself without knowing lol!

OP posts:
Cadmum · 22/10/2005 14:45

DQ: Glad your scan went well! Do we get to see a picture? Sorry the show didn't really live up to your expectations; I am shocked that they didn't even offer enough seating.

JandB: Are you still hanging on to that LO? Any update on your waters?

Thanks to those that shared my baking... I would hate to eat it all myself--NOT! Have been baking cookies today. I must get out of this blue/eating sweets phase or I will be a house-end before winter!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 22/10/2005 15:13

nope - not my waters - well i dont think anyway! Still hanging on in there!

OP posts:
Frizbe · 22/10/2005 20:20

OP posts:
Frizbe · 22/10/2005 20:24

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 22/10/2005 20:26

OP posts:
Frizbe · 22/10/2005 21:03

Cadmum canadathread you help is needed here!

yingers74 · 22/10/2005 21:50

DQ - yes that was me i think!!! Although I don't know! I was wearing a black and white jacket and jeans. I had no idea I walked past a scan stand. And agree the layout could have been better, am pretty sure I just kept walking past the same stands again and again!!! How did the scan go?

jess - good luck with sweep tomorrow. I am 38 and a bit weeks now and also have no signs of impending labour!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 22/10/2005 21:51

OP posts:
Frizbe · 23/10/2005 08:51

Cleaning and cooking, your defo nesting!! good luck with sweep today!

Cadmum · 23/10/2005 12:54

J&B: Hope the sweep goes well... What time are you expecting the midwife or do you have to go to her? Good luck with the cleaning. Too bad it is too late for you to endure a long-haul flight or you could come round to mine and continue nesting here...

Frizbe · 23/10/2005 20:36

Hey Cadmum, maybe she needs a long haul flight to get her going?! or seeing as she's not posted again yet? or has she?!!! are you there J&BM??

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 23/10/2005 20:40
