Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
munz · 21/10/2005 10:34

just quickly girls b4 we gointo town shopping- i'm back - baby's fine measuring between 20-21 weeks averaged out. all healthy wasn't impressed by us nosing about! lol - I see the face clearly, opened eyes and the hearty beat etc.. found out sex as well - cheeky monkey opened the legs then closedthem tight again so we couldn't see! but pleasse to announce we're having a boy.

(sorry rom guess u were right and I was wrong! lol) now got to think of a boys name - DH is OK abaout it we'll keep on trying apparently till we have a girl - oh really!

george32 · 21/10/2005 13:23

Munz, that is great news. A lovely boy for you too.

Friz, it's weird isn't it. People seem fascinated with baby bumps and forget it is a part of you. I like it when the baby kicks them to tell them to get stuffed!
Promise no more talk of do-nuts today (hard as it's lunch time!)

J&BM, hope you are OK. Don't leave us for long will you.

Nemo666 · 21/10/2005 13:37

congrates on your little boy munz

Cadmum · 21/10/2005 13:59

Fresh baked cinnamon buns are on offer today in the Cad-house. I am off to sit down to a cuppa and a cinnamon bun!

My scan is on Tuesday afternoon (evening there). Doubt if I will be asking for the gender but I am really curious. I was so sure with my other three and this time I am baffled. 80% certain that it is a girl but it could be a boy...

munz · 21/10/2005 14:39

oooooooooooh cads - i'll scoff a bun with u!

I was sure we were having a girl as well. still glad it's a boy - got a few outfits in town this morning! lol.

Frizbe · 21/10/2005 15:01

as per other thread Munz Congrats and lol at all the shopping I wish we had the cash at the mo, but we have dd's birthday next week to pay for.....argh!

Cadmum, I've just snuck in some apple, banana and raisen cake but I have room for a bun if your offering how are you, not heard much from you lately?

Would anyone like my dd for a bit today, she just dropped off on the way back from town, I tried to transfer her to bed, to no avail, shes now wide awake again.....and I could really do with a kip myself! on the potty front, she's managed a wee in the potty today, hurrah! but only the one mind....and didn't quite make it with todays poo.....sorry if tmi! but not too bad for day 3 me thinks......?

Hope everyone else is well?

Nemo666 · 21/10/2005 15:54

frizbe how old will your dd be??? I completely understand about being skint..just lucky we have a load of stuff left from adam that is unisex..although all the 3-6mth clothes have disappeared...mmmmm

Munz..bless at buying things we did that when we found out adam was a boy. Dh went straight and bought blue outfits...cute.

romilly · 21/10/2005 16:00

oh munzie a boy!!!! lets hope i'm not right about the 8lbs, lol. such great news though, i have been out all day so couldnt wait to get on here to see how it went

can we see a pic of the little cutie?

DQ - i'll wait to hear what you made of the baby show today. i just went to a big show in london, but of a different variety altogether - the frieze art fair. full of hip young artists and sleazy looking art dealers, it made me feel really frumpy wondering around with my ginormous bump, lol

george - thanks for advice on maternity pay, made me feel a bit better about it. frankly if i were in your position i would stop right now too! wish mr. rom had done a bit of saving so i could be a kept woman unfortunately he says i am too high-maintenance (not true of course!)

friz - i have had at least three random bump-fondles so far! i do find it a bit odd, as i am quite protective of my personal-zone

nemo - are you managing to take it easy, hmmmm?

Frizbe · 21/10/2005 16:02

Nemo, dd will be 2, and as you can see I'm trying to potty train her before the new one arrives!! har har, actually she's just been really good and wee'd on the potty again! hurrah! two so far today I reckon another week or so and we'll have it cracked.

On the plus side dh has told me on tel this afternoon (he's working away again this weekend) that in 3 weeks he has a week off and will be sorting out dd's new room and will decorate it as well, hurrah!!

Nemo666 · 21/10/2005 16:03

rom i am not been too stresful today..took adam to toddlers and then have done not a lot..even got him lunch from macdonalds as i didnt want to make anything..lol

romilly · 21/10/2005 16:06

thats good nemo - and how is the spd? is it in remission or still bad?

Nemo666 · 21/10/2005 16:08

spd depends on the day...hurting a bit at the min but then have been at toddlers and am also tired and with the chest infection etc..generally run down. Really does depend on its mood from day to day...just holding onto the fact i have 8 wks left..lol

sweetkitty · 21/10/2005 16:14

congrats on your boy munz

yingers74 · 21/10/2005 16:34

DQ - were u there? I enjoyed it but was a little dissappointed as not nearly as many freebies as last year!!!! And could not find the scan stall at all! bumped into local mummy friends though, but not you!!! We left by 11.40am which was a relief to hubby!

Nemo666 · 21/10/2005 16:36

lol yingers not as good as u thought then...any freebies you want to pass this way
Think DQ said her and dh were having lunch out and afternoon doing something but cant quite remmeber..lol

romilly · 21/10/2005 16:37

only 8 weeks, seems amazing nemo well i hope it is an easy 8 weeks for you, or as easy as possible when you are heavily preggers with a toddler anyway!

hey caddy - we are officially halfway through today! 20 weeks, yayyyyyyyyyyy! by the way my little sis has just moved out to the rockies for a year - she likes snowboarding!

Nemo666 · 21/10/2005 16:39

rom its quite scarey that it has gone so quickly to be honest...i keep thinking about how unprepared i am, relying on baby being on time rather than early..lol

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 21/10/2005 16:40

Hi girls.

Well due date was officially today and NOTHING but to be honest im thankful!

Feel like poo and cant sleep - i cant go into labour this tired!

DH is on orders for bath, hot chocolate, massage and hot water bottle tonight before bed!

Nemo666 · 21/10/2005 16:42

JABM you do realise that now uve said u fele rubbish etc you will go into labour..always the way!!!

sweetkitty · 21/10/2005 16:43

Good to hear from you JABM, can imagine how you are feeling, I'm only 28 weeks and wish this baby would come out now (not premmie you know what I mean) fed up of the sacro-iliac pain, stitched when walking, heartburn, dragging feeling, it all really and I'm only going to get bigger, oh well it will be worth it. Just think in a few weeks you'll have a georgous newborn to cuddle and the rest of us will still be on here moaning.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 21/10/2005 17:19

probably nemo!

Just been spending loads of time with Jessi and making a fuss of her.

REALLY need to get some sleep, but its just not happening - i wish they would invent pregnancy insomnia tablets or something!

Hope you are all ok, and ill pop back again soon x

yingers74 · 21/10/2005 17:43

Nemo - sorry no freebies to pass on, last year we all got given this 'show' bag full of goodies, no luck this time round and some stalls asked for two quid for their bags!!!! But at least we got some bargain tooth brushes. I also missed alvin hall who I love!!! Despite this, I still found it good fun and exiciting!

Went for a tour of the birth centre yesterday and am now terrified! I know I am having a baby but it all seemed so surreal until yesterday. Being there brought all the craziness of my first labour back to me! 2 weeks to go!

george32 · 21/10/2005 18:41

Oooh, that sounds like a lovely evening J&BM.

It's weird but I'm actually enjoying this pregnancy far more now (10 wks to go!!) even though I'm more uncomfy. I guess not being at work helps!

Anyone know anything about rib pain. I am struggling to lie on my RH side as my ribs hurt so much. Is this a normal preggie gripe?

Cadmum · 21/10/2005 19:16

I am fine just really tired and feeling like I can't really catch up on MN... I never like to post when I haven't properly read the thread but I also wanted to find out about Munz's scan so I found her post and then replied.

My scan is on Tuesday. I will not intentionally find out the gender but I am really hoping that baby is healthy. He/she is certainly very active which is lovely and reassuring.

Cadmum · 21/10/2005 19:17

I was happy to share the cinammon buns. At least I know why all of them have been eaten...
