Frizbe · 20/10/2005 11:43

well i am off to view a house tonight so wish me luck.

george - you are obviously so busy with daytime TV that you no longer have time for MN

romilly · 20/10/2005 12:05

ooh munz - were you and J&BM bickering?

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:05

Bella, I'm glad to hear your news. It must be such a relief to know that all your efforts aren't in vain & how lovely that your DH is taking everything on board. You will get there and I am so excited for you.

Hi to everyone else over here. Having a very busy 1st week off work. Still very delighted to have left, absolutely no regrets about leaving early.

Hope you are feeling better today Nemo. I don't know how you ladies with children cope through pregnancy. I must be such a wuss, I moan & I've only got me to deal with . Anyway, pack Adam off to me, I'll send you some doughnuts and you can put your feet up and get some rest. {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:07

LOL Rom, nope, not done a lot of daytime telly yet.
Busy, busy, busy, thats me!
Off shopping in a min to try to find something nice for the nursery (M&Ps are discontinuing the line I want - Grrrr!)

munz · 20/10/2005 12:09

no no rom not us two a rather nasty mnetter JM went out and they were being nasty about her is all - only 2nd time I've had an arguement on here - but mainly I felt the comments we unjustified - still that was yesterday and today's a brand new day!

george32 · 20/10/2005 12:52

There seem to have been a few digs at J&BM lately. Poor thing, she must be so frustrated and yet excited about having her little one and for some reason some people don't seem to like it.

Well nothing but support for her & her mission from me.

munz · 20/10/2005 13:11

ok then caught up again,

nemo - how r u doing today honney? - is Adam sat down watching cbeebies?

bella - glad you're doing OK, not you know the cause hopefulyl thigns will get better - is your DH taking zinc I hear it can really improve things - ask Jeddah about it - her DH was/is taking it - I think she said his improved 5 fold. (not sure how long he's been tlking it thou) an try bd'ing on the pillow as well - well bum on pillow just to see apparently the sperm starts off further down.

dq - glad ur scan was OK - I think JM's baby was breach for a spell - not sure what she did thou don't think it is any more.

friz - glad ur apt went well as well.

rom - good luck tonight - have u acepted an offer on urs yet?

george - glad ur having a nice time off - all be bit busy thou! lol - have u got much to get for the nursery/baby? (Jm has full support from the munz camp as well!) lol.

well 20 week scan tomorrow - will be asking exactly how big baby is as well - it's 20 weeks by my dates 20+5 by theirs so I want to know (althou the 5 days extra would explain my tum!) lol. DH was feeling/pushing it - he was amazed that the bottom was hard and the top wasn't! lol - bless him! can't wait to find out the sex.

where's cadmum this week - not seen her on hope all's well - will get an email over tomorrow I think if still no word.

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 13:15

hi all
thanks for the thoughts..feeling more human today although still chesty..adam was really good for me yesterday although so far today has been a bit whiney but i think he whines when his dad has been around for a bit as dh didnt leave till 11am today instead of usual 8am.

munz hope scan is fab tommorow are you going to find out sex?????

JABM hugs to u hun..some people can be right Bs sometimes on here..just ignore them

time is flying past way to quickly for me now..lol I am 32 wks tommorw really must start to get ready at least mentally..lol

munz · 20/10/2005 13:19

naturally nemo! - well thats if we can - last scan all baby did was strech her legs in and out! lol. (didn't see anything!) hoping tomorrow she'll be a little acrobat - DH isn't gonna be a happy bunny if it's a boy - still he'll learn! lol.

hope adam's better for u this avo, will he play quietly on his own and let you rest on the sofa? I spied yesterday you're 7 month - OMG! (hope the carpets/sofas are in soon. did u get the other prob sorted with your money?

Nemo666 · 20/10/2005 13:33

hope baby is compliant and not like our stubborn mule..lol

Adam will be going to bed at around 2.30 till 4 ish so will get a break then and he is usually good at playing alone but always gets unsettled when his daddy is around bless him.

money not sorted...tax credits refused our appeal and we have no idea how they are working stuff out. The other money people we are still trying to gather statements etc to send to them as dhs bank are taking an age with them..lol So still skint but hey ho were are managing to keep the baliffs at the door just.Told dh parents about tax credits on sun so his mum said she is giving us some money..bless her. Dhs mate turned up with the money i paid on monday and is paying the bill tommorow as he gets paid from work.
Carpet is ready when we want it and couches mid nov so not that long. Am just lucky i only need to get a moses basket as we have all adams things and a friend is sending me a basket for the cost of postage bless her.

romilly · 20/10/2005 13:37

munz - so excited to hear about your scan 2moro and your beautiful 8lber little boy
why doesnt your d/h want a boy?

george - glad to hear you are busy, busy. spent your harrods voucher yet?

nemo - 32 weeks! oooh

munz · 20/10/2005 13:56

nemo - glad you manged to at least get that back to help you out - still can't get over the tax credits ppl - can you get one of those maternity grant thingys? or did you say u'd got one. fingers crossed for the sofa. I think ours with the origional set of ppl took about 3/4 months to sort out - DH was getting v stressed as we were having calls/letters etc but once they'd agreed everything everyone left us alone.

rom - he wants a daddy's girl! that's all, and he thinks boys are little gits when they're teenagers - (but see i know what girls are like!) lol. I'd best not have a 8lb'er - althou my friend from work is voting 8lb 6 or something - so def fallen out with her now! lol. (think DH wants to scare boyfriends as well when the girls are old enough)

romilly · 20/10/2005 15:05

lol munz - well, we will know by tomorrow! what time is your scan?

i havent seen my midwife since my 12 week booking appt. and am not due to until after my 20 week scan ie.21 weeks - is that normal?

george - how come you started mat. leave so early? isnt your due date beginning of jan? are your work being decent about maternity pay? i think i shall be getting 6 months at 90% of my pay, what do you think? is that mean or generous or about the norm? i have worked here for years and am, i think, a valued employee!

anyone else any info on this? i know munz is getting the SMP

dramaqueen72 · 20/10/2005 16:21

rom, yes thats the norm, midwives pretty much ignore you unless high risk. you see even LESS of them after your second....,
friz, i know i know I SO dont want a breech baby. and yes he has time to turn still but its running out!! as i wanted a quiet home birth with no drs in sight (just a midwife!)the idea of having to line up for a poss c-section with a Dr scares me beyond belief!!! honest to god if its not one thing its another with this pg. def male in here with all this hassle!!!! have spent much of day on hands and knees, and also being active. no sitting on sofa for me! tried the hips higher than head position on the stairs (as suggested on a breech baby site) and nearly killed myself!!! getting hips 9inches higher than head is NOT a straight forward thing anymore. not at 31wks!
rom, baby show is fri (we're going then),sat, sun. you should go living so close!!!!! LOTS of freebies and special offers, plus chance to shop witha capital S !my dh has no choice, have got ot the slightly crazed hormonal pg woman stage where he will meekly agree or risk one heck of a grouchy wife but go by yourself or witha friend, its about a tenner to get in I think. let me tell you tomorrow if its worth it okay?
yingers BTW, am mad stressed blonde lady with huuuuuuuuuuuuge bump, wearing all black (its nto a fashion statement its all that fits now..........) and also with blonde dh and blonde dd whos 2 and prob be playing up if you see us!!!! wave at me if you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J&BM, hope yore okay today? feet up and tell me how you turned the breech into nto breech please
munz, hello hun, good luck for scan, hope you get to see what you want ot see!! remember they often get girls wrong but usually no mistaking boys!
at my scan yesterday i saw two feet literally stamping up and down LOl and for a moment baby turned head and stared STRAIGHT at screen -freaky!- only ever seen profiles of faces before!
hope I get a nice face pic from 4d scan tomorrow, but suspect with this munchkin it will be of a foot or something!

george32 · 20/10/2005 16:31

Rom, 6 months at 90% of your pay is brilliant. They must love you!!
I only get 6 wks at 100%, 6 weeks at 75% then 14 wks at SMP. The only saving grace is that I do get to keep my car allowance for the full year plus they have said they will give me an average of the teams bonus for the 1st 6 months.

We have waited to have a baby until DP was in a position to pretty much support us all financially for a year (if he stops spending on himself - ha ha ha!!) so I guess I have a bit more time off than others. It means I'm not so stressed about making sure I have all the time after the birth. Not sure I'll go back anyway.

Really I'm just terribly lazy & it's a good excuse not to work!!!

munz · 20/10/2005 16:52

ooooh freeky DQ. will remeber that thanks.

rom - it's 9.20am so nice and early. i'm only getting SMP as far as I know - we'll be entering negotiations in dec/jan for my working after mat leave/pay etc - I was hoping to do 20 hours max with a pay rise 3 mornings at home and one in the office - boss seemed happy with me doing that so it's really just pay) I was after a rise from £6.50 to £7.50 (we normally get a raise of 8% every april anyways). would prefer weekly money as well - but that might be pushing it!

munz · 20/10/2005 17:38

DQ - message from JM&B

"can you tell DQ that i was breach until 34 weeks and i didnt do anything to turn it other than sex on all 4s!"

(as taken from her latest email to me!) - i'm sure u can all agree what a lovely picture to paint just b4 tea time! lol.

(she's still checking in on us, just chilling and enjoying time with jess/reading her books b4 the fun starts with two babies! - so she'll be able to see if u wanna leave a message!)

Frizbe · 20/10/2005 19:49

Hi all J&BM don't let that silly person put you off posting on our threads still please!

Rom, 21 weeks at the mo!! re pay 90% for 6mths is the norm, and as for the midwife I think I must be in a good area, cause I've seen her at 12 weeks, 16 weeks, then 21 weeks, guess it depends on shortages etc....Good luck with the house viewing, hope its one you want!

Munz, don't be sorry, its a free world, your entitled to your opinion as well.

George, will you please stop mentioning do-nuts, I'm always fine until I log onto here, then suddenly I want food!

Nemo, 32 weeks wow! so soon

DQ, lol re scan, I'd just go for the all fours idea, although you don't have to do what J&BM was suggesting!!

Frizbe · 20/10/2005 19:50

oooh nearly 4got had my 1st random person groping my bump today, grrrrrrr, wish they'd ask 1st!

munz · 20/10/2005 20:00

I'm hoping not to get any of those friz - apart from DH - althou will offer mum/dad for a listen if they like.

rom - I see my m/w at 16 weeks as well - she said I didn't have to but a lot of ppl find it hard going between 12-20 weeks with nothing.

just measured still 8 squares. still geting stabbing pains - can't wait till tomorrow.
