Fab pics Annie - Mimi looks soooo sweet getting dressed! Looks like she settled pretty well too, bless her. Lovely that she can go along with Joey. Oh and Emma is especially impressed that Mimi's uniform and pants match hers

Went and bought school shoes yesterday - the only ones that fitted had the feckin flashing lights on - I'm trying to work out a way of permanently sabotaging them. At least there's an off switch I suppose, but grrr all the same.

So - I am definitely going to put up FB pics of school start day on Monday, it's going to be weird...

Annie - those photos are so cute! How did you manage to get photos inside school??

Bloss - that interview sounds hideous tbh - definitely a case of rather you than me I hope the job is worth the pain

So glad that everyone's first days have gone well - it is Josh's last day at nursery tomorrow and I keep getting a lump in my throat everytime I think about it He has been there for 3 1/2 years now so has literally grown up there so it seems like such a big move.....I will cry tomorrow!!!

Here are some pics of the girls. Sophie is quite happy at school at the moment but I am still trying to come to terms with it. Am eagerly waiting for her at 3-15pm. Had to go into school today to give Em some Calprofen and Sophie ran up and gave me a hug, aw.

HC your photos are lovely!! Good for you being teary - I didn't feel anything, poor Mimi. Emma looks very proud! So cute that Sophie came up and gave you a hug . Glad she is settling.

Thanks CB! I asked the TA and she said it was ok to take photos of just my child, but Mimi's friend's mum was there and said it was fine for her as well. The first day we are allowed to go in and show them their peg and the toilet etc, so they can settle then. But they were ushering us out after about 10 minutes!! It's the only chance you ever get to see them in the classroom really.
Good luck to Josh today last day at nursery!! I admit I did weep on Mimi's last day... It's ok to cry, everyone else will be!!

Sophie (and me) have survived the first week. We have to take them into the classroom every day for 2 years. Am so relieved to have got through the day I have dreaded since 27th June 2006.

Emma started Brownies tonight and loved it.

Hope Mimi's still enjoying it Annie, she didn't look as if she'd have too many worries!

Emma was fine thank goodness, no tears or protests. Luckily it's a familiar environment as it's right next to her pre-school and she already knew her teacher, and a few in her class. She's still pretty shy but at least she doesn't hate it (so far!). We'll have to see how she gets on once she realises it's every day..! Pics on FB.

There was one little boy screaming his head off today he didn't want to go in... His mum was adamant that he should go in without her, and the teacher came down and practically dragged him in, poor little fella. Mimi and her two little mates were first in line as usual!

Ladies, glad that the July 06 babes all seemed to have settled in

Josh was great yesterday - I had a little lump in my throat but once Josh spied one of his friends and sat down next to him, I left sharpish and I was fine

Pixel - Josh is one of 6 children from his nursery in the class and fortunately his very bestest friend is there plus 3 of the others are in his 'close' circle

Unfortunately it wasn't as straight forward dropping Sam off at nursery today as, once he realised that Josh was leaving with me rather than staying as usual, the bottom lip came out and his eyes starting filling up....again, I left very quickly but I hope he has been ok. He has just moved into the big room where he has been with Josh and now Josh has gone

Oh dear Ceebee, Hope Sam is OK. Am sure he will be once you have left.

Sophie has already decided that school is boring so now I have 2 girls that detest school.

Still waiting for the leisure centre to phone me back to arrange swimming lessons for the girls. Hate, hate wating for the phone to ring........

Toby seems totally fine! Enjoying it, doesn't mind being left, so so so cute in his uniform.

He is half days till Christmas.

Got that job. less basic, more commission, and loads of other better trimmings. Just waiting for official offer later, then can hand in my notice, yay.

Harry had a great birthday thanks for all your good wishes. He went to watch Reading v Crystal Palace with his Dad and a couple of friends.

Have sent all invites for DH's 40th party - black tie, sit down dinner for 66!!! Planned catering, booked cake, doing seating plan, looking for THE dress....

Glad all the kidsters are settling in ok - the pix of them all on FB are GORG! Ry is doing much better this year - his teacher seems much nicer than last year's teacher. I was a bit worried he'd been dumped over the holidays by his g/f Julia (who he hadn't stopped talking about) - she blanked him initially in the classroom as he sloped up to her desk but then deigned to play with him (phew!). I can't have these Spanish ladies breaking my boy's heart already!

Well done on the new job Bloss! Excellent work. Good luck with the party plans (is he behaving better now and deserves the fuss? ;-)

Hope Sam is doing better at nursery now he has got used to Josh not being there CB - I'm sure he'll be fine, bless him!

Anya is doing well though the nights are hard work... typical Spanish chica who wants to sleep all day and party all night! Super cute though and Ry is generally ok with her, though he has his moments...

Very well done Bloss on getting the job. Good luck with the B'Day preparations, sounds like a grand affair. DH had his B'Day tea in a chip restaurant at the seaside. Think he paid too....

Impy, those nights will get better I promise. Matthew is nearly 1 and still doesn't sleep through but the girls both slept well quite early on.

Hope school is going well. I think it has dawned on the Sophster that it is a permanent thing and she no like this. Gasps of 'you mean I have to go to school again tomorrow?' kind of give it away.

Yes, HC, I think the novelty is starting to wear off, Mimi doesn't tear up the path any more when the whistle goes. There are another 10 in the class now though, and the last 10 start on Wednesday, so I guess it can be a bit overwhelming. Did you get the swimming lessons sorted?

Impy, I'm sure Ry won't be short of Chicas if that Julia drifts off!! Glad Anya is well. How are you recovering/ed?

Swimming lessons start tonight-yay! Pity the poor teacher who has to control Emma in the pool.

Sophie is so very tired and keeps asking 'what's in the morning?' expecting me to say going to Grandad's or something equally nice and she is so disapointed when I say school. Bless her, she is a brave soul and never cries.

How is everyone? Can't believe things I am looking to buy the girls for Christmas are all out of stock in Argos!

Went to a music group with Matthew then back to one of the mum's houses. Her DH bought us chips which were yummy!

Not long until half term then I feel there may be a problem when Sophie has to go back to school after it. Watchb this space.........

There is a sponsered walk at school this afternoon and Emma wanted me to go and watch but couldn't face standing there with M for over an hour. Anyway, I go to every other school function so think I have done my bit.

Pix, have you got something to tell us? I noticed something on FB that's all, but I am very nosey...

Mimi is still enjoying school, though she's had a cold the last few days and hasn't been bouncing out of bed as usual at (before) 7am. Hence she also hasn't been sleeping very well... Today was her last half day, so staying full time from tomorrow, and we are meeting the teacher on Thursday. Fun fun fun...

Annie - just had a look at Pix's profile and can't see anything Hope Mimi got on ok today.

Everything is great here - Josh loves school and has settled in without any issues whatsoever. He even loves breakfast and after school club aswell so it has been very unstressful after all!!

Moved Sam into Josh's bedroom at the weekend and that seems to have been a success aswell although I went in to wake them up this morning and Sam had already climbed up to the top bunk and was laid next to Josh giggling his head off....which was fine but it was pitch black in the room and he had climbed up the ladder without being able to see - not sure how safe that is???
