Just to let you know that Anya Yasmin was born on Aug 23rd weighing 3.4kgs by VBAC - yeah!!! Was sure they'd book me in for another c-section as I was over my due date when my waters broke on Sun night and it all kicked off - took 5 hours (with epidural thankfully!) and no stitches - hurrah!

She's gorgeous and I already can't imagine life without her. Ry seems quite taken with her... for how long we shall see...

Anyway she's just woken up so I better dash.

Impy, how's life as new-mum-of-two??

Anyone started school yet?
Mimi's teacher came round yesterday for her home interview, it went fine. Just slightly concerned that she is not going to the toilet in time these days, i.e. lots of wet pants... here we go again... but at least Miss Teacher is aware of it. I think Mimi is going to be fine...
Joey started back yesterday, Year 1, new teacher etc., not a bother on him. He did ask for 'food' in his school bag though, to eat at the end of the day. I said I could put an apple in if he liked, but he said it had to be sweeties... some other kid always has sweeties apparently, though I can't see how that could be true.

DH and I eight years married yesterday. Scare-ey!

Annie - fab holiday pics! Looks like you all had a great time, and yes, looks like they both just take it all in their stride, they are v cool!

School doesn't start properly till the 13th, but we've got to go in for a 'family visit' with the teacher next Thurs, just for half an hour (they don't do home visits here). From the 13th they do three half-days, then straight into full time - what on earth am I going to do with myself?? (apart from try and earn a living of course...).

Got all uniform apart from strangely elusive PE shorts - so just some last minute labelling to do and we're off.

Hope all's going well Impy, and that Anya's feeding / sleeping etc are all nice and regular. The days should start cooling down again soon too!

Been on the beach the last couple of days, gorgeous. As usual the nice weather only seems to kick in in Sept

Dom starts school on Monday, but just mornings for first 3 (!?) weeks, then into full time. I'm going to spend all my time trotting backwards and forwards to the school gates until he's there all day... Just picked up his school sweatshirs today, he is v proud of them. Is bad to say that I'm sort of looking forward to him going as it means me and V will have some time together. Suddenly looking after one toddler seems a breeze

Had a good 2 weeks in the caravan even though it was wet alot of the time. Sophie starts full time on Wednesday. The teacher comes to the house on Monday. Hope she doesn't ask her to write her name as she just won't try and learn to do it.

Thanks for all your lovely messages! We're doing well thanks, little Anya is adorable and I'm really enjoying it all - savouring every second cos I know how quickly it all goes...

Hope all the school starts go well. I'm sure they'll all be fine and ready for it. Ry goes back in mid-Sept, he's been talking about all his mates and I reckon he's been missing them over the long summer hols. He probably won't be chuffed when he realises that he has to go back while mummy and Anya stay home...

Rhinestone - I know exactly what you are talking about as Josh starts school on 13th (does mornings for that week then in full time) and I am actually really looking forward to Mondays with just Sam as it really is going to be much easier with just one of them to look after

I really think Sam is going to benefit from the 1-2-1 time too - am planning on starting mum & toddler swimming lessons with him as he has probably only ever been swimming a handful of times whereas Josh had been pretty much every week of his life by the time he was Sam's age

Dom had a great time today, there were just 6 of them in his class (they start the youngest first and then build up to a full 30). He now has a bookbag which he proudly carried home with him - long may that last!

Hello all.

Long time etc....

Toby started school on Monday. He looks unimaginably cute in his uniform, still such a baby. He is settling in well, and does till 1pm till Xmas, so gets collected by a childminder. Harry gets collected by a different childminder at 3. They are approx 10 miles apart for collections. Let's not talk about that!!!

Impy, big big big congrats on Anya's arrival, I have looked at the pix, she is totally adorable.

Am interviewing for a new job, through to second stage - have to run a meeting (where 3 managers pretend to be a neglacted client, yes how hideous) and then do a presentation on myself. I am trying not to think about it.

Harry is 6 on Saturday!!!! He is big and strong and clever and beautiful, and I made him.

Right just going to back track and find out what happend to Roshi.....hi Spin, how is Uni?
