Hope Josh, Jacob and Emma had fab birthdays and have a great one tomorrow Mimi!!! (Cake on FB looks fab Annie!).

Madrid is starting to calm down again Pixel - it has been crazy! Spain needed something to perk itself up with 20% unemployment and no end to the recession in sight...

Good to hear from you Spin, glad you all had great b-days. Is it chilly over there at the mo? - I've had enough now of waddling around in nearly 40º heat!

Ry's at a summer camp in July - cos school holidays are 3 months long here...! He's going to swimming classes and other activities so seems to be having a ball. Then both sets of parents are taking it in turns in Aug/Sept to help out with him and No. 2....

Hope all well. Impy xxx

HumphreysCorner · 18/07/2010 20:27

Happy Birthday Mimi-hope it was a great one and I bet that cake was yummy!

Had Emma's party today can't believe she is 7 tomorrow.

Love to all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMI !!
Hope you've had a fabulous day and enjoyed your fabulous pink cake

Hang in there Impy - being pregnant in the hot sweaty weather is damned hard work (as we all know from 2006!) xxx

Emma had a good day ta, we made a choc fudge and smarties cake in the morning, which looked a bit dodgy but was actually edible! Twas a busy day, to and from preschool, followed by a bit of minor early evening partying. Her party isn't till next week as she's having a joint one with a friend. I'm bloody knackered from Phase 1 though

Hi to all, gotta dash and eat leftover curry xxx

AnnieOneForTennis · 18/07/2010 21:50

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EMMA, Pix, for Friday, sorry I missed it.x

Thanks girls! Had a fab weekend, photos here

The entertainer never showed though. Stuck in traffic... That was a teeny weeny bit stressful but we came through. Then the After-Party was a blast!!!
Lovely day today, just opening pressies all day!! I wish I was four. Sometimes.

Spin great to hear from you! I was going to say the fecking fours in the thread title but thought I best be polite. Glad you are back with us, missed ya!

HC, happy birthday to Emma tomorrow x x x

Pix, I'm sure the cake was great! They love it don't they!! Which is the important thing. I wasn't in competition with a professional cake-maker, so I wasn't that bothered. Honest...

Right, bed. I'm being baby-proofed tomorrow, yaay! x

Wow Annie, what amazing photos! Looks like you all had a really lovely time Mimi looks radiant at her party!

So many things look REALLY familiar, like those H&M summer dresses, Hello Kitty paper, choc cake mix mess, pint and chips...

Can't wait to show them to Emma, she loves catching up with Mimi's adventures

Can I ask how you go about doing your captioning - do you do it all in FB or do you use another package them upload them? I haven't found an efficient way of uploading from Picasa, which hinders me somewhat...

Wallace · 19/07/2010 07:40

Hello girls!!

Well I'm baby-proofed! Got an implant in my arm for three years. No more babies!

Pix, H&M dresses are just the biz aren't they!!
Re photos, I have an empty folder in my pictures, which I call Facebook, then just copy the ones I want into that folder then upload the whole folder. (then empty it again for next time). Then I just go through them as if you were looking at them and edit the caption at the bottom, and tag each one. So I just use the FB uploader thingy.

Spin, love your photos too! I don't want to say it, cos everyone else has, but Roshi is soooo grown up. And Ch as well, he's a handsome boy!
Well done on your super results!! Best of luck when you go back x

Hi All

Thanks for the photo info Annie, I'll have a bash. Hope you're feeling okay having been 'implanted'

Fabulous pics Spin, love the one of Roshi having her 'do' She is gorgeous, as is Chili. Hope they're feeling better soon. Well done on the grades, I think that definitely deserves a few bottles of fizzy to cheer you on!

Ceebee - love the pics of Josh and Sam at Thomasworld, they look as if they're having a ball! A right pair of cuties.

Are you on mat leave yet Impy - can't be long to go now?

Hope Emma's party went okay HC. We've got one on Friday, gulp.

Big wave to everyone xxx

TheGoddessBlossom · 23/07/2010 08:50

Hi Spin! Gorge photos - who's the bride? Roisin and Chilton look so lovely. Well done on your scores, wow that is impressive, not surprised you are scared to go back, you have to match yourself!

I am on day 1 of my hols. Frantic week seeing all my clients to try and close things off a bit, and all that happened was each meeting generated 17 more actions. Oh well, not my problem for 2 weeks.

Toby is 4 while we are in Minorca so I am taking a few pressies for him to unwrap out there.

Next week involves Paultons Park, Chessington, cinema for Shrek and probably Toy Story etc etc. Hope the sun comes out.

Plans for our 10th wedding anniv/Stu's 40th party are underway (november) although unless he bloody cheers up he won't be invited....such a grumpy sod. He acts surprised and annoyed by the sight of our kids every morning as if to say "when did these two get here I never ordered them!" Constantly moaning and shouting at them. If he is forced to spend some time alone with them, he tells me with great incredulity that he actually enjoyed being with them. Whoop do doo, perhaps try it more often. Grumpy git.

Right, off to commence day one of compulsory fun.

Happy birthday to all I have missed.

Bloss

xx

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. Not skydiving yet (don't suggest it!) but is trying to do wheelies

Gorgeous photos they all look so grown up. Not sure what we are doing today. Wavering between the beach and the cinema. Not really beach weather, but could fly a kite and have a wee paddle. Cinema a bit expensive though...

Love to all!

PixelHerder · 25/07/2010 10:30

Happy birthday Leo, have a great day! xx

Ceebee74 · 25/07/2010 21:37

(Belated) Happy Birthday to Leo - hope you had a lovely day (whatever you decided to do).

Been to see In The Night Garden live today - it was great and both boys LOVED it. Sam was so excited by it all and he doesn't even watch ITNG much as Josh hogs the telly with Spongebob and Ben 10

HumphreysCorner · 25/07/2010 22:14

Have finally got rid of the virus on my laptop, serves me right for clicking on naughty things.

Happy Birthday Leo!

Bloss-big hug to you. Men!

Love to all.

Wallace · 26/07/2010 06:27

Thanks We did go to the beach. Well when I say beach I mean here It was a bit chilly but that didn't stop Leo stripping right off and paddling

So sweet to hear him saying to everyone "I was pwee and now I'm POUR!" He struggles with his "f" sound !

ImpyChica · 26/07/2010 18:51

Hi all!

Glad Leo had fun Wallace! Happy Birthday to the last remaining peeps.

Well Done Spin on being so brainy. V impressed. One of my bezzie mates has just gone off to do an MBA in the States and I'm so in awe of people like her and you who can go back to studying. My brain's just a mushy pile of celebrity gossip!

No, not on mat leave yet Pixel... hoping to struggle on another couple of weeks but finding it v difficult now. Not sleeping well and then this heat is insane... Just not sure I wanna be hanging around the flat just waiting....

Sorry about your DH, Bloss - what a berk! Maybe you should try the Magic 1, 2, 3 on him ;-)

Went to see Toy Story 3 yesterday - you were right about the tissues Spin! I was a sobbing wreck! It was fantastic. What a great triology. Ry loved it too though he didn't get on well with the huge 3D glasses.

Got my mum and dad arriving on Fri to help out for a couple of weeks - phew. Hoping the baby arrives early so they get to see it!

Hugs to all. Impy xxx

AnnieOneForTennis · 26/07/2010 21:58

Hello Ladies!

Check me out on this thread!

Belated birthday wishes to Leo. Beach looks good Wallace, can't beat the ones where you're the only one there.

Bloss, will you stop! You are too busy... can't keep up! Enjoy though... Know the feeling re DH though. x

Impy how long have you to go now? I'm with you with the mushy brain, but I have no excuse, apart from too much vino. oh dear... Hang on tightx

HC! It's always the quiet ones... x x x

Ay up Annie, get you hobnobbing with a celeb!

My virus was caught while researching what was discussed on a recent thread about the FB status takeover fiasco so am not entirely naughty.

Impy, so difficult being PG in the heat isn't it? Take care now.

Think it was Aidan's (was twinklemegan still on mumsnet under another name) birthday today. So Happy Birthday

TheGoddessBlossom · 27/07/2010 22:39

Happy birthday aidan!

So - day 3 of hols. Am mum sitting as dad away but now also MIL sitting as she is also staying as signed off work with depression!!! Although to be fair is lovely and a massive help to be honest, which is just as well as:

forgot cleaners were coming and went home to give them their money (staying at mums')

In process left purse at home, garage door wide open and DH's keys in garage door lock

go to sainsburys, discover missing purse at checkout, have to borrow 150 quid from mil

Dh rings at that moment to bollock me re keys in garage door etc

put phone down and promptly lose it, new iPhone...

Freak out re lost phone, empty shopping trolley and handbag in middle of shop

someone hands phone in

I stop crying

harry stops crying

mum stops crying

go back to mum's house

drank wine

work is easier than this......

HumphreysCorner · 28/07/2010 08:46

Yes, Happy Birthday Aidan. Hope it was a good one.

Bloss, is it your MIL who is signed off with depression? You have a lot to deal with so can be forgiven for leaving doors open. Your mind is full up and can't absorb anything else so remembering where your phone, purse etc is-well this is a no, no. I too have a habit of doing this. There is no need for your DH to be too cross about it though.

Matthew is crawling now and screaming in a high pitch girly voice all the time. He is gorgeous though.

Love to all!
