Thought the title might be appropriate for both mums and babies

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
oopsandbabycoconut · 19/06/2010 11:41

birdy is more kitsch fb button is there too but boring blue!

The polis cake blog and the sunshine one's titles are in slightly different blues rather than one bolder than the other or it might just be my eyes!

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 11:44

Oops, its probably not your eyes, it will be mine looking at it for too long. I'm about to give up and go out for the afternoon and start again tonight!

so birdy over pink twitter button?

did you prefer the graffiti FB button to the plain blue?

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 11:49

the post titles are all the same colour - I have no infulence over the colour of individual post titles iyswim? have changed them again to black just to make them leap off the page a little bit more

shall stop monopolising the thread with all this blog pap chat now

oopsandbabycoconut · 19/06/2010 11:50

yes to birdy and yes to funky fb and go out any enjoy some of the day!!

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 12:00

right, birdy & fuzzy fb remain. have sorted all post titles and link colours (hopefully)

all that remains that I am unsure about is the colour of the post text - possibly should be a tad darker but I have things floating in my eyes now and 3 girls running naked and feral time to go and waken up DH so we can have a few hours before he's back at work till 2am again

thanks all and sorry for being a bloggy snore

TwilightSurfer · 19/06/2010 12:32

netscape and safari are browsers like explorer. i use safari.

sorry, late to the tea conversation but i carry my own tea bags in my purse. i have an english breakfast and a peppermint. i have a grander selection in my kitchen but all are week by sazzles standards. i only like coffee on occasion, usually at night so i stick to decaf. like miamla i have a special mug. there's just something about the perfect weight and lip.

oh and dizzy they won't think your strange after this. i do not like beer or wine. i tried for years to drink and like them but no luck. when i drink it is liquor based and seeing as i'm a light weight, it takes very little to make me stumble.

dd1 being a bit of a snot this morning.

lucky

miamla why does sazzles think you are taking over stats? am i falling behind somewhere???

GladioliBuckets · 19/06/2010 12:51

Whaaaa???? Where am I? A silver surfers' cyberteashop?

When and where is this meetup then? Had forgotten, can't do Wed or Thurs now. Kew Gdns would be nice...

Sigh, still waiting for AF here, was expecting it anytime from Thurs. I seem to be a bit less highly strung today so perhaps it'll happen soon. Aaaaannny minute now. Yyyyyup.

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 13:56

buckets meetup is this thurs at my house for picnic in garden

ts because i mentioned that the last thread lasted us longer than usual

dizz yes to birdy, grafetti and black headings (have i covered everything?! )

oops how did work go?

TwilightSurfer · 19/06/2010 14:00

I almost forgot...
Crispy please tell your other half that The Charlie Daniels Band is playing tonight to end our Riverbend Festival.

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 14:01

sorry about the cyberteashop

TS - I hate beer too and the only wine I can handle is Rose because it is pleasant!! Life is too short to be tolerating things that you have to force yourself to enjoy you've reminded me my mum used to bring her own teabags everywhere too. I always had a supply but inbetween buying them and them visiting they normally went out of date

Miamla - thank you

Oops - hope the girls were ok this morning and you've not done too much.

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 14:07

i'm on the phone to mil's mil

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 14:10

dizz dizz dizz you hate beer too??? what's the world coming to?!!!!

good grief, you too TS?

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 14:11

blah blah blah...

she's a funny old woman though...she phoned yesterday to wish DH a happy christmas, then realised she'd got it wrong and wished him a happy easter. She got it right third time lucky!

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 14:39

Miamla - mine is after being a tad over indulgent doing a competition called beers of the world at uni - never ever again

lol at Happy Something I'm going to be like that in a few weeks never mind years

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 15:39

i did a similar competition at uni but difference being, i kept up with the boys and got a real taste for it

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 15:46

yup I kept up but the feckers didn't like it and were swapping shit all over the place so I stuck to smirnoff ice after that and if it turned blue I knew they'd popped in a helpful aftershock shot

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 16:10

ah ha! that explains it!

my list of drinks that i can't even bear the smell of is archers, southern comfort and malibu! i'm fine on navy rum though

oh forgot to say..mil's mil gave me a lecture about this being our last baby. it is but obviously i led her to believe that we're planning a football team! this is the same woman who, when i was pg with DS, told me that if i'm a good girl i'll have a boy for her It is the only time i wanted DS to be a girl! (we already knew he was a 'he' at that point but we were keeping it quiet)

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 16:23

nice of her

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 16:35

twas exactly what i thought!

right, DH has gone to buy a shed. What do we think he's going to come home with? he's convinced it'll fit in the boot of his car! I just hope my pelvic floor is up to it when he gets home! He bought a sofa when i was 30wks with DS and i ended up having to climb over the sofa to get out of my flat because he managed to get it completely stuck (upright) in the doorway

oh and I reckon if DS could type, he'd tell you all i'm the best mummy in the world... he lost his tractor months ago and i've just found it in the bottom of his ball pool. his face was a picture when he saw what i'd found!

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 16:37

oh no! he's just sent me a text saying 'bought more than a shed'

his spatial awareness is atrocious! he won't get a shed in the car let alone anything else!!

oopsandbabycoconut · 19/06/2010 16:53

Back from work nothing too much done I covered for my mum so she could play with DD1 for a bit and DD2 was in her sling. Dad came too and loved helping out with the cooking so I left him to it. BUT I am shattered and need an early night - I hope DD1 sleeps late again tomorrow but I doubt it!

Miamla - What did he buy?? and at mil's mil.

Scrambled egg on toast for dinner as mum brought loads of eggs and I can't be arsed to cook.

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 17:05

oh Miamla - be gentle with him, my spacial awareness and lack there of is legendary in this house!

MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 18:52

the shed unsurprisingly didn't fit in his boot (apparently the guy in the shop laughed when he asked if he thought it would fit!) so its getting delivered on thursday. but.. he did come home with one of these, one of these and a peppa pig helium balloon! I've convinced him to keep the first two things for DS's birthday I'm not sure why i let him out with his bank cards any more!

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 18:57

we have a pink version of that Miamla but our garden is pants and has too many levels for them to get a good run in to - they still love it though

cyteen · 19/06/2010 19:54

Today you may call me Barbara Good. We have eaten new potatoes and strawberries fresh off the allotment, I have made rhubarb and date loaf with rhubarb from the allotment, and picked a bag of comfrey leaves from the allotment to turn into plant food. I made spag bol for tea, flavoured with bay leaves and basil from the back yard.

Mind you, we've also been to Morrisons which I doubt Barbara Good would have been seen dead in. I am KNACKERED.
