oh good morning Hots! pleased to see you've decided to join us

Report
dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 09:05

nope, tastes like a peat bog to me

all rather bizarre considering my hankering for a wee coffee shoppe - I don't drink tea or coffee lol

Miamla - DD2 always feels she's been missing out on something if she hasn't been involved in the bedroom antics considering its normally her that instigates them I think she's got a cheek!

Morning Hots

No headache here thankyouverymuch, was only a bit tipsy last night

dizz, sorry but i'm going to have to give our friendship some serious consideration now

It is bizarre isn't it that someone we have clasped to our bosoms doesn't appreciate the steaming loveliness of a proper cup of tea. Have a fresh cup of tetley tea in my best spotty china mug and it is truly a thing of beauty Even my DH is a bit weird, although he does love tea he prefers his first drink of the day to be coffee . He made me a coffee once as my waking up drink when I was having a lie in, and I made him take it away and bring me tea

dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 09:26

hots show off! I can feel rough as a dog after two glasses these days

Miamla - it only means that there is more for you and considering how much tea my PIL drink I felt it was only right I bow out of it all??? >

Report
cyteen · 19/06/2010 09:32

Tetley? I love you hots but you truly are a degenerate. I shall have to bring my own teabags when if I come to stay

Morning all, sorry to miss out on the snogfest last night but if it helps, I was all ready to profess my love at 3pm, cold sober

DP is cheerier this morning after a lie in and some pancakes DS super-chatty and getting really good at spontaneously naming things - this morning he has correctly identified cheese, butter and tea.

but dizz, i suspect that given that you don't drink that you couldn't possibly make a decent cup for me, nor understand my need for a cup before anything else in the morning. I'm willing for you to pop down here and prove me wrong though

now hots on the other hand is talking my language! If DH makes me a cup in the morning (reasonably rare at the moment because i'm usually up before him but if..) and he uses the wrong mug, i get a bit at him He knows what mug my tea needs to be in but bless him, sometimes he just forgets and picks the first one at the front of the cupboard

morning cyteen, pleased to hear DP feeling happier. Hmm, pancakes..... might have to make some for me now

Report
cyteen · 19/06/2010 09:35

Isn't mug specificity funny? Without ever discussing it, DP and I have developed a preference for tea in the morning to be in one set of mugs, and tea in the afternoon to be in another.

LOL, you tea lovers. DH brings me a cup of tea in bed every morning and won't speak to me until I have had a second cup. Apparently I am too awful

Cyteen, I agree with you on Tetley all the way. Yorkshire tea here and nowt else. Well other than DH's girly Earl Grey

Right, best go engage with my children and sort some brekker. Later ladies........

Oh, and Oops, hope all goes ok today

I have a different mug for different types of tea

Thought it was just me til my uncle let slip one day that he is the same! Mum now thinks we're both weird!

Miamla - I make WONDERFUL tea and coffee strangely I think because I do't drink it I have read up on how to make it perfectly!! DH always has a cup of tea waiting on him for when he comes down of if I have to waken him (due to shifts) I take one up to him AND I know exactly which mug to use at what time of day/appropriate occassion - in the morning his has to be one of the buckets

ladies, had a quick blog change, could someone pop on and give me an opinion please - better with or without spots? I've tried all the background layouts/photos etc etc and I'm getting nowhere fast

here

Report
MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 09:40

we're yorkshire tea here too! but i am rather partial to a cup of earl grey sometimes but only in the afternoon, never in the mornings

sazz i'm liking how well you've got your DH trained!

dizz, i can just imagine you sitting there rolling your eyes at all our tea specifics!

I like it with spots and it's not often I get to say that

thanks cyteen - I'll need to fiddle with the text colours a bit not but I wondered if it might break up the dark?

there are FAB backgrounds with smarties/spoons& knives/cakes etc but they're just too busy. The black was possibly a tad sombre though?

Miamla - a cup of tea is not to be taken lightly regardless of whether or not I indulge myself

Report
MrsMiamla · 19/06/2010 09:42

the white text on the right hand side is quite hard to read with the spots...

ok dizz, i'm willing to overlook your lack of tea drinking skills. i admit, you do seem to understand the importance of it all!

Report
dizzydixies · 19/06/2010 09:46

I'll have a whirl at fixing the text once the final decision has been made - to spot or not to spot!!?

Report
hotterpotter · 19/06/2010 09:50

It's all Yorkshire tea here

Dizzy I agree the spots look great, but maybe fiddle a bit cos the white writing is a bit harder to read.

Sheesh we have only been up 2.5 hours and the house is a dump we are supposed to be fettling for the estate agent this weekend. Think we need a skip...
