Thought the title might be appropriate for both mums and babies

hotterpotter · 05/07/2010 23:08

Me too, have a Discworld book I want to finish and an exciting appointment at the garden centre in the morning [old lady]

hotterpotter · 05/07/2010 23:13

TS I don't use the mei tai much anymore as DS is sooo heavy but he's fine actually in a back carry. Even DD can go in it for quite a while - it's more like giving her a piggy back but without her alternately hanging off and strangling me. Plus I love having them up there, and having all the other mothers check us out

hotterpotter · 05/07/2010 23:35

Bed time for me, night night if there is anyone there

TwilightSurfer · 06/07/2010 00:09

Since all I have are Moby Wraps I did some research online and toyed with two different wrap configurations. I even walked Reese around the neighborhood. However, I've decided since my chiropractor is out of town this week, I will refrain from anymore "testing".

I am sitting here now waiting to see if DH makes it back. He did "something" to his race car and quite honestly it didn't "sound" right. As if driving it would make it "sound" better. He tried to put it on me because I drove it today and put gas in it, HIGHEST OCTANE and only HALF a TANK. He's VERY picky. And here he is.....well at least he's made it back.

TwilightSurfer · 06/07/2010 01:58

property porn on our fb group page. if i owned this house ya'll would be planning all your trips to the Merica.

springaporesling · 06/07/2010 04:33

have one very sorry looking cat. She had a wound from a fight that got infected and it turned into an abcess on her back. She had an operation yesterday to open up the abcess and clean it out. I went to pick her up last night and she has a large shaved patch on her back and a piece of plastic tubing about 3" long sticking out of her back to drain any remaining fluid. Overnight she'd managed to dislodge some of the plastic tube so DH has just taken her back to the vet and now she has one of those comedy plastic collars on to stop her from moving the tube again.

Loti sorry to hear of H's continued bad behaviour wishing you luck for your trip to Spain - is it worth giving him an ultimatum?

TS off to look at the property porn - back again - wow that house seems to suit all our needs from dizzy's kitchen Sazz's swimming pool to DS climbing wall . Now just need to raid some of my client's trust funds and we'll be sorted .Our entire apartment would almost fit into the master bedroom !

dizzydixies · 06/07/2010 07:44

oh poor kitty Spring there is nothing worse than seeing an animal in pain.

TS am off to check out the house.

Making more cakes today (not a huge surprise) and will be delivering them to the local farm shop as a sampler of what I can do in the hope that they will sell my cakes. Only problem is that I'll have to take DD2 and DD3 with me - hardly an ideal business situation

dizzydixies · 06/07/2010 08:11

This time 7yrs ago I was getting ready to go into hosp to be induced. DH was flailing about as I refused to believe it was happening and hadn't packed a hosp bag or anything. I wish I knew you lot back then I cannot believe E is going to be 7 tomorrow. I know it sounds ridiclious but seriously, how the hell did that happen and why on earth does she have to look about 14yrs old in all the photos I'm taking of her recently

thank feck DH is a riot trained cop who can growl if I poke him with a stick hard enough

cyteen · 06/07/2010 08:46

Haha dizzy I feel for the poor boys who come courting your girls in years to come Mrdizzy had better prepare himself for many choruses of 'Da-aaaaaad!'

spring your poor cat although I bet you are having an occasional snigger at the collar. I couldn't help it when my boycat had to wear one, despite feeling very sorry for him - it was like having a mobile lampshade blundering about the place

DS seems to have woken up in a bit of a sad mood. He was yelping all through the night and then when DP got him out of bed he climbed onto ours and snuggled up against me for about 10 minutes This is the boy who thinks beds (and parents) are for jumping on - you're lucky to get a cuddle off him most of the time. No temp or any other obvious cause so perhaps he's just had a night of bad dreams? I had the most mental dream this morning about driving into a nuclear explosion, disturbing but visually spectacular

dizzydixies · 06/07/2010 08:52

Good Lord Cyteen, makes my dreams about going back to work seem positively trite! Poor J and his sad mood, wonder what's going on?

L had a TERRIBLE night too with crying and being inconsolable. She was through with me, went back to her own bed (DH was in E's by this time) he came back to ours, she started again, I ended up in E's and then D woke just before 7am

hotterpotter · 06/07/2010 09:53

Hmmmmm, quite nice TS but not for me as it only has a 2-lane bowling alley. Peasants

Springa poor kitty, and ewww re the tube. Hope he feels better soon.

cyteen sorry J is feeling out of sorts, glad you got a nice cuddle out of it though. Thor was similarly grumpy this morning and didn't even want cuddles but thankfully two minutes of peekaboo and tickling have restored his normal sunny disposition. Hope you have a similar transformation

Dizzy you are a whirlwind! Good luck at the farm shop, and good luck with DD1 It must be scary, she is a beautiful girl Thank goodness for big scary dads

dizzydixies · 06/07/2010 10:02

L has just coloured in D's face with black pen not totally but enough to make her look like she is a bruised baby now that I've tried to clean it off. I was sitting right here as well onMN

Hots - the farm shop looking less likely as it looks like I can't leave them alone to do some baking and I can't have them in with me to do it

Who's got the nail gun as I'm needing it back please

dizzydixies · 06/07/2010 10:05

and while I was cleaning D she's coloured in her own arm and stomach

hotterpotter · 06/07/2010 10:08

Glad it's not just me whose children do stuff like that when I am ignoring them otherwise engaged

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/07/2010 11:00

Dizzy - sorry but the more I hear of L the more she sounds like me my kinda girl!

catch up in a bit - one vomiting child and 1 feeding one, what a combo!

dizzydixies · 06/07/2010 11:09

Oh no Oops - who is being pukey? And shall pop L in the post to you along with your tablet!

this batch has turned out soggy, not best pleased at all, so will send whoever wants some from the next batch, don't tell Sazz though as its basically made of syrup/milk and sugar sugar sugar!!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/07/2010 11:22

P is being pukey and caught poor DH - who for some stupid reason was letting her eat her weetabix on his lap whilst wearing his suit. She also has a temp so has been neurofenned up and is lying on the sofa watching ITNG asking to go to bed. E has been up most of the night with wind and finally farted loudly at 4 am and slept until 9. Tablet sounds perfect I need the sugar

Cyteen sorry to hear J is a bit off colour, hope he is back on form soon. a bit at your dream though.

Singa - poor cat sound horrid and a little icky.

Hi HP

oopsandbabycoconuts · 06/07/2010 11:23

BTW - who the FECK is Squiglet? had why is my DD carrying around a squiggle pad and sqiggle sticks??? DH has alot to answer for!

dizzydixies · 06/07/2010 11:38

one child's head removed from being stuck in highchair - remind me to beat DH for keeping the ALLAN keys in a REALLY stupid place when he comes home

off to the shop for a suger thermometer and mint essence - all rock n roll here

TwilightSurfer · 06/07/2010 12:41

sounds like things are normal around here.

CrispyTheCrisp · 06/07/2010 13:08

Morning . So far today have dropped DD's off at CM, been to the gym, done shopping and am now sat outside in the sunshine enjoying a diet coke. The house is trashed and i have a to do list as long as my arm but need to wind up some energy to go and tackle it . Maybe later

Poor SpringaCat, hope the wounds heal quickly and the nasty collar can come off asap

oops i do believe LittlestCrisp may be referred to as Squiglet . Apologies if DD1 is now repeating it ad nauseum! Hope she feels better soon

dizz Your 7 year old DD is just beautiful but i agree it is amazing & quite sad how fast they grow up. She will always be your little girl though

cyteen hope DS is ok and just realising that mummy cuddles in bed are the BEST thing and not any illnesses brewing

Right, off to make a cuppa and out off 1001 tasks

QueenofDreams · 06/07/2010 13:13

Ladies, I need to vent.
I've just had enough, and I can't cope with this crap any more. I have no life, no indepence, no money, no friends, I'm practically dressed in rags, the fucking bank is threatening to 'withdraw all banking facilities, the temping agency have been stonewalling me for three months, S is a vile mood constantly, DP has the emotional intelligence of an amoeba, I feel like this is all 'my problem' therefore I have to carry it all on my own, with no support and I can't see any way for it all to work out and I keep crying and crying. And I have loads of important phone calls to make to ATTEMPT to sort things out and my fucking phone is not working. I can't take it any more.

QueenofDreams · 06/07/2010 13:22

And now DS has broken the last one of the bowls I really like and can't replace as they've been discontinued. He broke all the others and I have nowhere to put them out of his reach. It's set me off crying all over again.

TwilightSurfer · 06/07/2010 13:27

Queenie there's always a way! You've been on my mind nonstop since your FB post yesterday. You do have friends. WE ARE ALL HERE!! I realize it's not the greatest situation when you need a hug but please don't discount our involvement. Let's put pen to paper and figure this out shall we.

TwilightSurfer · 06/07/2010 13:30

First, who of us is closest, geographically, to Queenie?
