Thought the title might be appropriate for both mums and babies

back to back is hellish, having done it twice now I wouldn't recommend it [eek]

last swim lesson of the term, thank feck as it was like a sauna

Committee has just emailed to ask for volunteers to man a Trust stall at this year's festival, have replied that I won't be able to as I have a stall of my own - will await the replies and have my ears burning all night now!!

MrsMiamla · 01/07/2010 18:54

She has no intention of being back to back...we've had words and she agrees with me!

yay!!! go Dizz! well done on your stall email! i really wish i could be a fly on the wall when he reads your reply

dizzydixies · 01/07/2010 19:01

I have everything in place so there is feck all he can do about it, unless he mans a rival cake stall

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/07/2010 19:47

Have you had a reply to your other email Dizz?

ouch miamla

dizzydixies · 01/07/2010 19:49

not yet Crispy, not yet!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/07/2010 19:54

Oh FFS, that is just downright bloody rude

dizzydixies · 01/07/2010 20:23

lol, am used to them by now. They'll have to at least have twelve phone calls and several emails before they decide how to approach it all!

cyteen · 01/07/2010 20:36

Miamla I trust you'll be making some cubes for your very own Pea - well, it's not like you'll have anything else to do, labour and birth will just be like a genteel sneezing fit after all Although now I am eeking at the notion of sneezing a baby out through one's arse...only on our thread.

dizzy time to practice your biggest, bestest, cheesiest 'fuck you' grin

Totally knackered after a horrible muggy day (love the sun but not overcast, airless heat) HOWEVER not too knackered to do a bit more online shopping research for all my wedding bits and bobs...had lovely, long overdue chat with best friend/chief bridesmaid earlier also...I love being free to enjoy all this stuff

DS seems to be having a teenage moment tho I think he's still adjusting to the rigours and excitements of his new room at nursery. He's been a bit withdrawn the last few evenings, a bit standoffish with me. Rationally I know it's probably just the heat/new room/missing his old carer who he loved/general growing up angst, and yet here I still am, fretting.

oh Cyteen, don't - even today DD1 was asking about going back to visit her old nursery and she's about to go into P3!!! Please take heart that it means you have chosen a lovely environment for him and that he is clever enough to know his own mind and knows what he likes

love a bit of wedding planning!! Can I help with anything?

anyone have a favourite, no fail vanilla biscuit recipe? I want to make unicorn biscuits for DD1's birthday party bags on Sat but don't have time to experiment!

VG, breath darling breath. Today has passed and tomorrow will be much more harmonious - of that I am sure x

oh and I had absolutely NO doubt that your post was insightful and witty

I think one of the Trustees might know I'm doing something but this is a small place so very possible

dizzydixies · 01/07/2010 21:04

oh and I have a couple of Nigella books you just need to tell me which one its in. Either that or pop to Avoca and buy me some wonderful biscuits that I can pass off as my own

oopsandbabycoconut · 01/07/2010 21:07

it is in the domestic goddess one.

dizzydixies · 01/07/2010 21:10

shall get off lardy arse and go and get book & back on hot Mammas

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/07/2010 21:10

Shopping done, paperwork completed, girls asleep, curry eaten, MIL's car cleaned, 2 ebayers picked up, garden watered, clothes & food packed, so just got to pack the Landy and we are ready for the off at 7.30am

cyteen DD2 has been really out of sorts recently, partly clingy (non-typical), tantrummy, stressy with me and bossy . I had put it down to teeth/potential pox, but i fear it is just those pesky terrible twos. DD1 is just coming out of it so i shall take a deep breath and continue. Glad to hear weeding stuff is lovely

dizzydixies · 01/07/2010 21:11

you picked up two ebayers were they good looking and does R not mind?!!?

VG, know how you feel, i forgot to budget for all the end of term pap/payouts/renroling/two birthdays etc etc etc

come on the euro millions!!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 01/07/2010 21:43

oddly one ebayer came from Birmingham to pick up a ripped double mattress . At least it is out from under my feet

Next time, i shall try and make sure they resemble the diet coke man a bit more!

VG I'll send DH over for free . He fitted our shower including plumbing and leccy and we got a bargain shower from an ebay shop

dizzydixies · 01/07/2010 21:45

are wellies/muck boots a shit present for DD1's birthday?

RedLentil · 01/07/2010 21:47

I use that biscuit recipe too. It's great.

Migrainy and exhausted here after three children took badly to daddy returning from a week away and then locking himself in a room to do marking.

Dizzy wrote lovely things on my facebook page for the writing business though, and gave me a major boost. I'm on a deadline tonight VG but will get back to your lovely email too if poss.

DD1 was sent to bed without a story and with advice to sort herself out tomorrow. She said 'No problem. Tomorrow I'll just tell everyone what to do.' Which of course was the cause of today's problems.

Anyway, we had a little chat about the merits of a more democratic system.
