They look like average cakes to me. Sure they're nice and all, but lacking your thoughtfulness. In every respect

DS was so pleased to see me tonight, he ran over to me, arms out wide, ready for a big cuddle and then i got showered in kisses
From what i can gather they've had lots of fun today esp their trip to toysrus... i haven't seen all their purchases yet but there's definitely more than just the one thing that they were meant to be swapping for a non-broken version!
so DS happy (and i think asleep already), DH shattered but nope, can't smell any dinner cooking.....

spring DS either wants 'more' stories or none at all. If he's on a 'more' night, i have to admit to some of the pages accidentally getting stuck together if he picks a particularly long way

Evening all

Struggling to keep up after the weekend . Went to playgroup this morning where DD1 totally faceplanted on the path. She has a scraped chin, nose and forehead and will look v v nasty when it all scabs over . However, she decided to go for her swimming lesson this avo and had a one on one lesson as the other 3 girls were on holiday. Result.

We have heard that one of our guests children has come up with chicken pox today. DD2 is very clingy and not eating so i am wondering if she got infected or just still recovering from a very exciteable weekend. Time will tell. I HAVE to go and try and find a new car tomorrow so really hope she is ok and can go to the CM as it is my only chance

spring wise move with the magnum. I whizzed up some of the leftover strawbs from the weekend with some cream and made up some ice cream lollies. DD1 thinks they are fab

Oh, and in 'other news', we made £50 from our ebay items. Not a fortune but at least it will remove stuff from the house

oh and DD2 is now a Dolphin in her swimming lessons much excitement there!! Took a pile of cakes into the teachers for their end of term treat - very well received!

VG - apparently people who bought his cakes were leaving bad reviews on HIS fb page and he was stating that they had obviously been buying mine, not enjoying them and believing I was with his company My cakes were nothing sodding like his and we were nowhere near him and I was touting cards at everyone and anyone!!

Miamla - loving the kissy welcome! I avoid ToysRUs like the plague as with 3 kids its hopeless, I'm thinking D is getting a scuttlebug for her birthday as they are on special in Argos

I now have 5 garages within a 100 mile radius to go and visit tomorrow. Wish me luck

Nobhead. Your response sounds spot on and well played. Looking at his page though, I don't like the idea of doing different recipes each week. Better to stick to a core menu and have one weekly imo - more customer-friendly and simpler to run. How is each cake supposed to get a reputation if people can't get it quickly and easily?

More good news from the Buckets Abode, this week Kurt has decided to feed himself and is demonstrating some astonishingly sophisticated fork/spoonwork, 2 new words today (his first 2syllable word 'baby' and an attempt at 'airplane') and a small wee in the potty after bathtime tonight! Wee was immediately followed by a hand as there is a magic pig sticker that appears when you wee on it.

wanted to remark to dizzy that i took a gander at scarlet's site and i feel think they should have kept their mouth shut to you this weekend. they lack creativity which is key in the bakery business. my heart goes out to you that he rained on your parade. sending karma vibes his way.

vino divino here now and BF and i have been trying to make the first batch of KitschnBites this evening. It has taken us over an hour, an entire packet of candy melts, one bottle of Rose and 12 red velvet balls of which we can use none ah well, we live and learn and maybe it will take one more day to master cakey-bakeage!!!

thanks buckets I have one less friend than him on FB but agree, their page isn't as well groomed (all entirely thanks to Red) however they have one more friend and yes, I am embarrassed to admit it is a popularity contest!! Well done K, I had to remove D's white tshirt before she was given her tea, she thanked me by kissing and smearing it all over me instead I haven't even thought about the potty yet, shall add it to the 'to do' list after world domination and baking us out of debt

Miamla I admit to trying that too the problem is now that with some of his stories he knows practically all the words (or at least the last word of the sentence iyswim) and so can tell if I've missed something out! Note to self to buy some new books/request some for his birthday.
