Dizzy I have to admit blushing every time I flip through your latest pics. That Touch Tiger book/poster/picture is a bit revealing.

MrsMiamla · 25/06/2010 23:13

pert was our official photographer TS so you'll have to nag her!

sorry, can't type more...too tired but i have finally almost finished the present for my friend's baby... we're seeing her tomorrow so i'll be handstitching them in the car TM dizzydixies

TwilightSurfer · 25/06/2010 23:18

dizzydixies · 25/06/2010 23:18

TS - got to love it!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 26/06/2010 07:59

Morning Ladies. Just popping on to say hi. Friends arrived last night and we ended up eating curry, enjoying rather too much vino and playing cards well into the night. Great fun

Weather thankfully set fine for BBQ today, loads and loads to do, but i need to get DH out of the house for 3hrs somehow. He is currently snoring

Glad to hear stall going well dizz but at all the people with the same idea in your locale. However you are best and have us behind us, so to them

London meet sounds lovely and i can confirm oopsaBaby is totally scrumptious. I managed to whisk her away for a lovely cuddle and sniff, until DD1 took her off for a cuddle . She is a totally chilled baby loving her sling with an adoring big sister. The older girls all had great fun and we managed the day without a single tantrum . Girls slept in the car back and so were not keen on 7pm bed

Hope the rash has now disappeared oops? poppy hope DH's leg improves and I can't believe he carried on with a broken hand. He must be mad brave. Well done to you on your solo travels . We will need to take photo's of the injured DH's and compete for the best scar award satisfy VG's curiosity

TS LOL about France, where else can we try and put you off?

Right, have to go do stuff. Laters......

dizzydixies · 26/06/2010 08:29

Sazz, glad to hear good time had by all and very best of luck to you for today. My friend has been up since 3.30am to get the bus to the airport and has now been on her flight and is waiting at Edinburgh airport on her bus up the road . We're supposed to be going out tonight but I have a feeling she'll be passed out on the sofa @6pm!!! DD1 had her last drama rehersal before her big show next Fri, she is going to be Cheryl Cole in the show T8ypo*t's got Talent She has new bright pink Cheryl shoes and a dress borrowed from my friends 10yr old DD All very exciting We had a hellish night with DD2 last night, I think she was overtired and too excited after her big win in the sports day DD1 and D now up but DD2 sleeps on - hopefully for a wee while so she's in top form later [crossed everything]

pert come on with the photos!!!

No1 if you're lurking, get on here and spill lady!!

mimla enjoy the new baby sniffing, hope you got your cross stitch done on time.

MrsMiamla · 26/06/2010 08:42

mornging all.. I got woken up by DS calling me at 8.15 this morning and when i went into him, he was pretending to be asleep still (cuddling teddy, lying down on his bed)....i'm not sure what gave it away that he was pretending....the scrunched up eyes, the giggling or the fake snoring

crisp i'm really intrigued what 'sleeping in the back of the car' and 'buying another tambourine' have to do with each other!

poppy forgot to say well done re your travels and well done to your barmy DH too Hope he's healing quickly

dizz its not cross-stitch.. i've made baby building cube things out of three different pink/purple fabric and I appliqued one letter of her name on each of the cubes. It was an EIGHT letter name!!!! still, they're all sewn and stuffed now looking pretty but just need to sew the hole up where the stuffing went through. Hmm so what am i doing on here when i could have got at least two done in the time it took me to type all this addicted? moi? don't know what you mean!
oh and dizz.. you're welcome!

dizzydixies · 26/06/2010 09:10

Miamla - I imagine each time the girls try to doze off Sazz will shake it all out on her tambourine to stop them from doing so - she's a touch sadistic like that but sensible as it keeps bedtime where it should be

your blocks sound LOVELY, I've 3 girls who would love those, 2 have 8 letter names and 1 has 9, when can you get them done by??!!

dizzydixies · 26/06/2010 09:22

Ladies can we please start talking birthday presents?? I think we're going to get D one of these scuttlebugs and they've got them on special at Argos. The other thing I was thinking of was the horse shaped space hopper thingy that she loves so much at one of the soft play placed - can't remember what they're called and can't be arsed looking it up just now.

Problem in the Dixie household is that when you're onto daughter number 3 there isn't much they haven't already got We're happy enough getting her a cake and putting some money in the bank but people will ask what to get her and I'll have to tell them something or we'll end up with a pile of tat. For example, when I told MIL I didn't mind what she got DD1 for her 3rd birthday, we ended up with an airbrush tattoo kit and my Dad will give me money to get her something as he doesn't do present buying

all suggestions welcome so I can steal them

DD1's birthday is before D's however at the ripe old age of 7 she is more than capable of telling everyone us what she wants!! PIL sent her a brand new Wii game as she didn't get to go over to visit them so that's one thing scored off the potential list!!

hotterpotter · 26/06/2010 09:36

Hellooellooelloo

Glad to hear the meetups went well and glad you liked your stuff Oops Thank you for graciously ignoring the initial facebook message

Dizzy birthday, what birthday???? We will be off camping for DS' birthday so he probably will get a bucket & spade / donkey ride for his Could you ask for outside toys then at least they're not cluttering up inside?

Had a lovely time last night, my little sis cae over and we were sat outside chatting until 10pm. The peace and quiet plus the delicious smell of honeysuckle have reconfirmed that we are doing the right thing for now re not moving, instead I am going to get DH to build a proper patio and also extend the deck a bit.

hotterpotter · 26/06/2010 09:42

Oh and Dizz I am very very very of you & Nick Cave Did he buy a bun? although I realise I am swooning over a mental image of him from years ago, not the balding old man he is now

luckoftheirish · 26/06/2010 09:43

Morning all

dizzy i too feel guilty that dd2 never gets anything new as dd1 seems to have been given everything

crispy good luck with the BBQ it's going to fab and I hope you all really enjoy it.

luckoftheirish · 26/06/2010 10:24

Crispy I hope you are swanning about the garden enjoying the partay a la Margot from the Good Life

Miamla what lovely bricks, as Derek Jacobi might say. Arf at the pretending to be asleep, I love it when they do things like that and can't help laughing at their own cleverness DS came into the front room wearing my Birkenstocks earlier, he looked like he was snowshoeing

oops glad everyone likes the presents

dizzy DS has one of those scuttlebugs and he loves it to bits. They fold up v small too so easily stowed even in our tiny little house. Watch your fingers when folding though, if you do decide to get one.

Hello everyone else, still shockingly hungover after last night's leaving drinks for two well-loved colleagues. Was also celebrating a momentous decision, which is that I'm going to sack off writing my dissertation. I'm not getting anything out of it except stress, and life's too short. The lovely postgrad admin lady is looking into whether I can still get a PG Diploma awarded for completing the rest of the course, so that will do fine for me

So yay, freedom! I can start living my life and seeing friends and getting excited about my wedding now. Once the hangover lifts, that is.

Well dd1 threw up all over my bedroom and bathroom an hour later is eating tomatoes celery and spready cheese

so either a dramatic recovery tho still hot or that lovely feast will be seen again shortly
