Hello new thread

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gingeme · 27/09/2010 15:17

Very scared but my Mum said she will come down for a few days and take them out and about to keep out of the way.
We are definately hiring a proper moving company. Can't see my Dad and DH lugging the frideg, freezer, washing machine bunk beds ets down 6 flights of stairs.
Did I mention its got a garden? Grin lol

JustKeepSwimming · 27/09/2010 15:27

Moving company a v good idea!

Mum i/c boys very clever :)

Garden will be sooo good, well ok not so fab over the winter but come next spring Grin

mixedmamameansbusiness · 27/09/2010 17:01

Even in winter though I would give my left arm for a garden as at least when completely depserate you can throw on coats over PJs and let them have a run around and know you dnt have to traipse home again.

So pleased for you Gingeme. Yay for ex-plumber hubby though - a bath is my santuary with a good book. BBQ at yours in the summer Wink

Def a moving company... we moved out and back without one and what a nightmare. My parents are moving and have pretty much bought everything new yet still when we hired a van to help it was still a nightmare.

gingeme · 27/09/2010 22:34

We have been 12 years without a garden and I get Envy when I hear people say 'Oh I've just put all my washing out before I left for school'. When I visit my Mum in Kent I always put her washing out for her Hmm
We will have a garage too which DH says we could put the freezer in it and have a dishwasher in the kitchen Grin my dreams will definately have come true then Smile
Deffo BBQ next summer for you all. DH is desperate to have one. I said we could celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary with one next August Smile
I'm actualy packing in my head now. We will have to buy wardrobes though as our room has 2 massive built in wardrobes. The boys have a Mahmut one from Ikea so that will go in Davids room with the Mahmut bed and chest of drawers. The lo's will have the bunk beds in their room and we'll have to get them a wardrobe too. We havn't even viewed the place yet and I'm already organising it all Hmm
Will still go to the same dentist but will have to find a new gp which is realy sad cause our gp is so lovely Sad and realy is too far to travel to.

fillybuster · 27/09/2010 22:44

So exciting about the house Gingeme - I think you've been talking about hoping to get out of your flat since we first 'met' right back on the ante-natal Jan 08 thread all those threads years ago!! Fingers crossed it will work out for you :)

Amazing news about the drugs JKS Grin How are you feeling now? Was thinking about driving down to southend in mid October if you can guarantee me some sunshine? Now we've moved to 4 hour feeds it seems a lot more realistic...!!

Definitely go by car LaT - but be warned...years ago we took Tamara and Ari to visit my gps in Manchester (when T was v little and A about 2.5) and tried to do it with sleeping (hence non-feeding/crying) dcs. We left at 8pm with the dcs in their pjs, with teddies, all ready for bed. T slept the whole way (phew!) and A....well, he was fine, but very very very awake the entire journey Shock!! He didnt whinge (good) but he didn't fall asleep either (bad!)...How's your father doing now?

Mixedmama - whats with the stay at home thing? Did I miss something?

Simpson - brilliant, wonderful, fantastic feedback for J!!! I'm so [proud emoticon] on your behalf....I know what you've been through with him (and we've not had all the extra stress you've had with ex-H to deal with on top of that) = what amazing comments this early into year 1 :) :) :) Fingers crossed for M's new nursery - any new developments from the doctor?

Not much to report from over here....DH has been working stupidly long hours recently (he's still there now...boo!) but dcs are all well and I'm really enjoying my mat leave most of the time. Mia is fab - I'm really enjoying #3...I think partly because she is genuinely a really chilled, easy baby but it probably helps that this time around I'm being much more relaxed and just remembering to enjoy it, so the 'blips' are just that, rather than being problems to obsess over for day and days.....[sheepish grin]. Anyway, A & T are both still being completely brilliant with her, and happily leaving me to get on with feeding/changing etc and mostly playing nicely with each other...I'm sure it won't last but its great at the moment Grin Grin

Stackloads of chores left to do and its getting late...

madmouse · 28/09/2010 09:28

Hi all sorry for neglect Blush

Gingeme yay for houre Grin

latrucha · 28/09/2010 16:46

Me too. Sorry for not posting but am reading.

Fab about house. Gardens are ace for kids. Ours is tiny but wouldn't be withouy it.

Where is Lilyloo?

JKS and MixedM - how are you feeling?

mixedmamameansbusiness · 29/09/2010 14:23

Hey everyone

Filly - I quit my job. Decided that since I would soon be on mat leave anyway and with uni work and S startingschool basically I just couldnt be bothered.... does that sound awful? Anyway am thoroughly enjoying it and feels like the right decision at the right time.

latrucha · 29/09/2010 17:15
Smile
fillybuster · 29/09/2010 20:04

GrinGrinGrin @ Mixedmama. Coffee morning sometime soon then? I can make it out with just Mia in tow (Tamara will be in nursery 9-12 from Monday...finally, after the longest settling-in period ever....!!!)...when/where good for you?

latrucha · 30/09/2010 14:16

Hi all,

My babies are still working shifts, which is why I'm finding it difficult to post - when Sabela is in bed, Danny is feeding, so I have very little hands free time. You guys are at least coming before the ironing!

All is good here. Danny is doing a big chunk of sleep between 10-11pm and 7.30 ish, so life is good.

Were / are any of you on Cerazette? I've just started it again and I must say I'm hating it. I'm snappish and spoty and I'm blaming it all on the pills. I'm thinking of having the ordinary coil put in. Has anyone tried it?

Hmm... Danny's bottom is making extraordinary noises, so I think I'd better be foo to save his impractially white but very cute dungarees!

simpson · 30/09/2010 18:00

Hi all

M had her hosp appt today which went really well in that her pead is determined to get the the bottom of it all

Basically tomorrow we are back there for blood tests for coeliacs.

Then in a few wks loads of skin prick tests for allergies to dairy, soya, oats, dust mites (pead thinks her constant runny nose may be caused by this) and a few more I forget Blush

I also have to drop off 2 stool samples

Then if all this comes back negative we are being referred to chelsea & westminster hosp for a gut biospy

I have started the basics to potty training. I have put M in pull ups and we are practicing pulling clothes up/down sitting on potty etc...When she has the hang of that we will give it a go...

Things gone a bit tits up with H again I rang him yesterday to he could speak to DC and he sounded drunk Sad Angry so cue massive row and him swearing on M's life he hadn't...TBH think its just a matter of time before he cocks it all up and I don't even allow contact on phone anymore.

Don't know if I told you all but his mother rang and said he was a "broken man" etc and would I let him speak to DC on phone so I relented, although now I wish I hadn't Hmm

LaT - cerazette made me completely loopy Blush

simpson · 30/09/2010 18:07

forgot to say pead also thinks M is slightly over weight Shock Hmm

I have to make her meal portions smaller

gingeme · 30/09/2010 18:15

LaT Cerazette is completely the worst! I was on it years ago and it made me feel awful Sad I was on Microginon for years until I decided to have babys. It suited me.
Sounds very positive re M's hospital visit Simposon Smile Shame H's still being such a dick Angry
All full of cold here. Edward has a nasty cough and actualt lost his voice today. Ive got a bit of a sore throat too but I'm ok. I had to have a bloody painful injection this morning. Ive been getting bad pains in my left shoulder and chest and breast. The first gp thought it was rheumatism(sp) but it turns out I have Tendonitis which is basicaly wear and tear of the tendons and as I'm left handed thats wearing away first Hmm The jab was very sharp and painful but had to be brave cause Edward was with me Wink
Still waiting to hear from the council to view the house. Got till the 5th before I ring them to remind them Smile

JustKeepSwimming · 30/09/2010 19:39

LaT - cerazette is the worst!! I was on it, um after H i think and was awful. Was on a thread on here about it, may try and dig it out for you, loads of people with serious issues, i just stopped and used condoms instead!

Simps - that is good news about M, mostly. A determined doc is what you need. Given her diet is limited it seems unfair to limit the amounts too! H is a dick i think, the drink obv calls to him v loudly. :(

G - ouch! hope it helps!! don't let the council forget about you!! i'm so excited on your behalf Grin

Filly - you sound like you are doing so well with 3, esp with DH being away lots. hope i can be as good!! Mid-oct sounds good to me, not sure i can guarantee the sun though!

i'm feeling ok-ish, given i've had 2 nights of hardly any sleep with H being ill, again. he's better now though so am hopeful for tonight, and DH is away so no snoring to disturb me either lol Grin

bump is huge already though Blush not really put on much weight but think i have no stomach muscles left at all!!

latrucha · 30/09/2010 19:39

Sigh Simpson. I'm sorry he's still ffing up.

Well done for being brave Gingeme. Would you like a sticker Grin

Smacked myself in the face closing up the ironing board (unused) today and split my lip. Really nice to go with my Cerazetted spotty face. Sad I've got the last pill of my first packet of Cerazette tomorrow and I think it's going to be my last. If it's not the pills I must be an irritable old cow!

Can't do microgynon because of BF. I used to be on it too and liked it.

JustKeepSwimming · 30/09/2010 19:43

LaT - here

latrucha · 30/09/2010 22:18

Definitely going to junk the cerazette. Asked DH tonight if he minded no sex for a while. Poor boy. It's been a pretty long time as it is!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 01/10/2010 09:43

Morning,

LaT - I had the normal coil (the one without the hormones). No problems other than rather heavy periods for a while, but would def recommend.

Filly - I know Crouch End was quite easy for you when we had that meet up, I can get a bus there easily. They have a Costa I think. FB me and we can sort something out.

Hello to all.

JustKeepSwimming · 01/10/2010 11:37

LaT - when i was considering giving up cerazette the choice was easy for DH, given how weird i was on it.

simpson · 01/10/2010 20:46

Grrr on the one day I was counting on DD doing a poo so I could drop sample off at hosp when she had her blood tests.....no poo Hmm

fillybuster · 02/10/2010 18:50

MM - there's a fab new cafe in crouch end with yummy cakes...will fb you :)

I'm on Cerazette...its not brilliant but I dont think my reaction has been as bad as yours LaT. Unfortunately the GP couldn't insert the coil when I went for my fitting as my whole cervix went into spasm and it was complete agony - still working out what I do about that...any suggestions?

Good things about this morning: Mia sleeping until 8, dcs 1 & 2 sleeping until 8.30.

Bad things about this morning: DH having a conference call at 6am and waking me from 3am because he couldn't sleep in advance of the call....

Aaarghh!! Off out tonight for a friends 40th (admittedly only an indian takeaway at someone's house, but a proper night out involving a babysitter no less) and all I want to do is go to bed.

DH is still on the phone for work. He's been glued to it all day apart from a 3 hour period when we had people over for lunch. I know its not his idea of fun but I'm still quite pissed off at being left to do all the childcare, cooking, clearing up etc etc

Grumble over :)

Lilyloo · 02/10/2010 22:19

Hey you all Simps thanks for the wave Smile
Don't have any excuses other than being really slack for not getting on here!! Have sort of joined face book though!
How are you all ? I have not been on pc much at all too much rl stuff going on. Just started back on mnet and Simps found me Wink
M still a cheeky little monkey , i just started xmas shopping (think i saw thread where Simps said she had finished no change there then!!)
We still recovering from our old dog passing away a couple of weeks ago , was v sad i was there which was good and bad. H has taken it v badly!!
Have seen MM around on threads and JKS i really do need to catch up with you all though xx

Lilyloo · 02/10/2010 22:24

Just catching up and see you all caught my post about dog , thanks guys am really touched x

simpson · 03/10/2010 11:09

Good to "see" you lilyloo Grin Grin

Well I went into M's room this morning to find she had trashed the room Hmm

Basically she had climbed out of her cot in the night and emptied all her nappies, nappy sacks, clothes all over her room then fell asleep in the spare bed (adult one) in her room...

Also she had done a horrific poo Hmm

I started a thread under "allergies" about M's weight and the general consensus is that she is very overweight

But it might mean she is not getting the right nutrients because her gut is not working properly Sad At least the hospital is finally doing something about it!!
