Congratulations Eddas.

I've been reading a lot and hanging out on a site talking about books when I'm online.

But also this weekend we got round to having Danny's birthday picnic on Sunday, only a few weeks late!

We burnt his first birthday cake and had to make a second one, very late the night before! We got there in the end though, and Danny had a good time. Conor seemed to enjoy himself too, eating nonstop throughout the picnic. I don't know where he puts it all.

Hope your friend's wedding went ok.

StealthPolarBear · 03/06/2010 16:04

Woah, not much for me to catch up on in my three weeks of absence!!!!!

Did you miss me!!!?

Brilliant news about your DH's new job Eddas - and about the car too - Is it all fixed now!!? We had to have £600 worth of work done to get our car through it's MOT and we've not actually paid it yet Ahem.

I cannot believe you have got to wait so long for an appt Pesha - that is appaulling!!!!! How are you feeling atm? A bit better, I hope. xx

How is your mum doing with the Chemo Elkie? I do hope you get up to see her soon Wondering how SOL's mum is getting on too??

Well we had a SUPER week at Center Parcs Doing lots of lovely things and swimming a lot (it's free ) We enjoyed celebrating DD2's 5th Birthday and DH's 30th (he's so old ) and it was lovely to see POTc and her lovely boys too She could actually get into Center Parcs because it was so bloody expensive; but I went to the gate to see her. Joe was looking a lot brighter, bless him and I said hello from all your 'orrible lots

Then it was back to school for a week and then half term, which whizzed by in a sea of beach trips, mini railway trips and general madness. One of my best friends came down for the week so it was lovely to have some company and someone to endure enjoy the girls with me

Bramshott · 15/06/2010 12:39

Hello quiet ones!

Hope everyone is doing okay - we are so dull here that there's not much to post really ! The Village Fete on Sat was about as exciting as it gets.

O's "big girl bed" is being delivered tomorrow so she will finally be out of the cot at the weekend. How many others are still in their cots?!

Can you believe we have to do school applications in the autumn ! Has anyone whose April baby is their first looked round any schools yet? It looks as though O's year will be quite a full one, which is odd as the school has been under their numbers for the last couple of years. I am not worried for O as she is an in-catchment sibling, but some people who are out of catchment siblings are getting very worried as we've counted 14 children we know about already, and there are bound to be others that we don't know about yet (they take 15 in Reception). Still, we just have to wait and see I guess.

O is a walking bump-fest at the moment - every time she goes outside she seems to manage to draw blood! Currently sporting a very fetching cut on her temple where she ran into a plant table at the garden centre .

Ho hum - back to my dull life!

StealthPolarBear · 16/06/2010 16:32

hi everyone
couldn't find you!
yes, we';ve done the school look round, love 3 which will be our choices but 3rd is infants only
no news here...t still not potty trained and still bf. i am starting to look at him and think you're too big for this, which is sad

oooggs · 16/06/2010 20:26

rememner I said that Jack was reluctant to potty train and that I was concerned about the new preschool and not accepting him in nappies..... well on day 3 they said that they were no longer accepting pull ups and when he got there they asked him to change into pants which he did fine

When I picked him up 3 hours later he had done a poo and 2 wees on the toilet and no accidents - he wouldn't even sit on a toilet or potty at home!!!!

We went with it and with 2 days he was dry day and night with no accidents

No Erin who has been doing wees in potty since last August and poos since March isn't dry at night and still has an odd accident.

Both totally different and James has more accidents than Jack and isn't dry at night either!!!!

Sexonlegs · 17/06/2010 08:01

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry have been bad at posting; have been on a few other threads getting flamed though

Hope all is well.

Bramshott, K is a tumble tot. Her legs are covered in bruises and cuts. She just runs everywhere and doesn't look where she is going! Hope you get the school you want- sounds as if you will be fine. We are stressing about it atm as we are not in catchment for B's school even though it is the closest!

Will post later as need to get kids sorted. xx

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2010 09:50

wow oooggs, wonder if that would work for T - we've probably left it a bit late though!
He is mostly dry at night though - except he refuses to go to the toilet when asked in the morning, so still in nappies for the morning wee

oooggs · 17/06/2010 13:38

Katy - Jack did this about 3 weeks after 3rd birthday so only last month!!!!

He has a potty in the bedroom and jumps out of bed and straight onto the potty and then nearly fills it!!

Hi sol

hey Bramshott

I too are nervous about whether E&J will get into ds1's school!!!!!!!

No catchments in the town, there are 4 schools but ds1 attends a small church school and non of them are christened as we believe they should chose for themselves when older.

So if lots & lots & lots of christening children apply (even if they have just been christened for a party - oh yes it happens) then siblings may not get in!

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2010 21:16

Hello

We don't have to think abot schools just yet, but pretty certain P will get into our local Infants as DD1 and 2 are there atm. It is a lovely school

P has been in a bed since Christmas I think. Couldn't believe how easy the transitin was, which is great

Great stuff about your wee man and his pants oooggs 'Cuse the pun

Life is just ticking along here ....

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 18/06/2010 11:38

Boo!!

OP posts:
Bramshott · 18/06/2010 17:07

The bed is here - just have to construct it now! Where's that allan key . . . ?!

Hope the transition should be quite easy as she can already climb in and out of her cot.

Bramshott · 18/06/2010 17:09

So will all three of yours be at infants together Dippy, or will K have moved on to juniors by the time P joins?

Lots of grumbling in our school ATM as they are changing the structure so that what has previously been the Y1/Y2 class, will turn into the Y2/Y3 class, so N will have the same teacher for a THIRD year, and despite having moved up to the juniors, will in fact be in the same class, in the same classroom etc. Can't help feeling deeply dubious, but we'll have to see how it works out.

CaptainDippy · 18/06/2010 19:02

Nope, I'll have P in Reception, S in Year 2 and K in first year Juniors.

OP posts:
oooggs · 19/06/2010 19:25

When Luke starts in Reception, Erin & Jack will be in Year 2 and James in Year 5!!!

All 4 in same school in same uniform for 2 years

CaptainDippy · 19/06/2010 22:55

Cuuuute We've got all separate Infants & Juniors etc here; so no chance of that ....

Hopefully seeing POTC and her boys tomorrow .....
