Ah TS, surely is better to cry on a shrink than hold it all in? Did it help?

Just back from seeing DH's band perform, much better PA system at this venue, the little singer rocks out so hard so it was nice to be able to hear her properly. Kurt transferred to neighbour's bed for 2 1/2 hours, not a peep, and back again and all for a fiver! Ah the joys of only having one child and sharing care (bear that in mind broody ladies). Big2 are sleeping over at MIL's so we had a lovely evening pootling together quietly, no tv, no squabbling, no endless surreal unanswerable questions. Roll on Summer term I say.

TwilightSurfer · 14/04/2010 00:30

Buckets! I want a night out to hear a good band!!!

Blimey.... Am I first in this morning? Have some scrummy muesli and top-notch coffee to offer but little else I'm afraid.

Have been trying to keep up but of course can't remember anything from the last week or so so will just say a big hello to everyone.

Did you say you had a friend moving here pert? If my number would be of help to them, please do pass it on. Happy to point them in the right direction of pubs/letting agents/toddler groups etc. if it'd be helpful.

Great to see you QoD. Hope all well. I was thinking of no1 as well and hoping things are ok - lots of love if you're lurking. Also, steaky - are you there? I miss your witty banter . Hope your absence though is a sign of good things and world textile domination. .

alittlebitshy · 14/04/2010 10:06

ho ho. whoops. a very apt typo .

GladioliBuckets · 14/04/2010 13:16

TS When was your last night out with DH? Book a sitter and go to an earlyish show then 'go get a piece of pie and talk about it' (to quote Alabama in True Romance). I always tell them that they should do whatever they need to do to have a pleasant night ie. If they can't get a child back to sleep, then sitting up cuddling watching tv, shovelling biscuits in is all fine with me. I can deal with the aftermath the next day, I don't want to be called on my night out unless it's a real emergency.

On the subject of Tarantino, DH's band played the song from the end of Deathproof and it was brilliant!

Oops Is she in a big girl bed then? I'm still waiting to sort out wireless and remove the computer from the boys' room before I can rearrange it and turn cot to bed.

Albs It's only for a weekend yeah? And if worst comes to worst there will still be a few golden moments of fun to make it worthwhile. And school is back soon so you can chill out a bit then.

GladioliBuckets · 14/04/2010 13:20

Deathproof song only they did it much faster.

Hi ladies have just about caught up we are back in Singapore and very tired having had no sleep to speak of since 7am Tuesday morning.

Very belated congrats to Miamla. Oops hope all went well with the blood tests. Dizz must say congrats on sticky bean to you too. Also had no obvious pg symptoms with DS apart from extreme tiredness so reckon may be of the blue variety (hope that isn't taken out of context for being un-pc).

Anyway a very busy trip back to Blighty for us so apologies for lack of meet-ups it really was impossible to arrange. Also had no internet access to speak of. A horrendous journey out as flights delayed and involved a swift dash through Dubai airport to catch the Manchester flight -was v.unimpressed with Emirates this time. DS was very clingy and got horribly constipated at the beginning of the trip and then became scared of going I think as he knew it would hurt. He did have his moments though and loved seeing all the lambs in the fields and playing pooh sticks.

DB's wedding was lovely if freezing cold but at least the rain stayed away. DS still wasn't on top form but fortunately went to bed and stayed asleep till 7am so DH and I got to enjoy the reception.

The second week spent in Carlisle with DH's sister was easier although he and his cousin (27 months) fought quite a bit over toys. Visited various relatives and farm parks which were a big hit with DS - the boy has absolutely no fear with animals.

Anyway house move is planned for Friday and DS in bed but not expecting a great night as he managed to sleep from Dubai to Singapore on me so think he might think this is his lunchtime nap rather than night time.

Hugs to Loti TS Cyteen and anyone else I may have missed.

DD and I seem to have slept 1/2 of today away She didn't wake until nearly 8 and was napping (at her own request) by 10.30 and we only woke up at 1 when DH rang to find out why we hadn't brought him lunch been to collect a box from the office. We then had to rush to Babycafe as the other BF supporter is away adn down to DH for said box and to the bank before 3. Now I feel all dozy and not quite with it. Out to dinner tonight for FIL birthday adn DD has a cold coming, she woke up all snotty.

Dizzy, Singapore - pleased you are both home safe and well.

GB - DD is still in her cot - I like her contained!

dizzydixies · 14/04/2010 15:44

cyteen · 14/04/2010 16:23

oops what a lovely sleepy day
dizy - there rally is no place like home!

was it loti who had a random lump in her breast? I am currently shitting myself as i have something. i noticed it when away for miamla@s wedding but assumed it was due to not feeding ds and the pump being ineffectual, but the same lumpy bit seems to be there. .

dizzydixies · 14/04/2010 18:45

ALBS - don't panic, give it a massage in the shower using a net thingy and some shower gel if its still there after that then go and get it checked out

cyteen- poor DH is rather unwell today and has only seem the insides of the upstairs/downstairs loo so there will be no floor scrubbing more's the pity

Sazz - turned sunny here too but I've had an afternoon on catching up with dirty washing and paperwork however I am rather inspired after being at the farm and am considering what I can do with the top garden

phoned the college and passed finally found out that I've passed my elementary food hygiene - I took it back in Feb so was wondering where it had got to. DH got his latest essays back, passed one brilliantly, failed the other one by 2% which means a resit on top of the other two he has to have done by the beginning of May - won't expect to see him much at the end of April

Oops - glad DH home safe and well, hope the exhibition went well and sorry to have missed it

Miamla - wedding sounds wonderful and you look just gorgeous in the photos, although rather outshone but the delectable T well done you lady, well done and SO sorry to have missed your special day

girls have had an absolute ball at chez Sazz and the farm. Family Sazz were most gracious throughtout the invasion/plague of locusts descending on them and as we got in the car to leave on Mon morning a resounding 'can we come back tomorrow' was exclaimed by DD2 , the food was delicious, DH was spoiled rotten with fine cheese/meat and wine and has now developed a taste for it [meep] and the card game was only won by me due to my not partaking in the aforementioned fine wine LOVELY LOVELY time had by all

DD1 was rather unwell on the journey home so thank goodness for plastic bags [bleurgh] however immediately perked up upon arrival at the farm and managed to run feralandwild until they both dropped at approx 10pm. More wine/beer/cider consumed over a meatfest BBQ and DH let the baby cat out of the bag by taking the glass of wine I had been sipping on off me and drinking it himself. DCousin immediately realised that when I hadn't stabbed DH through the hand with my fork for removing my Rose something was wrong and exclaimed 'you're not pregnant again are you??' I managed to turn a fabulous shade of scarlett and that was that. DH and Dcousin sat up drinking until stupid oclock and then 'd' puppy whined/barked all night so no sleep had. horribly hungover and grumpy DH was not pretty yesterday but the kids ran free all day again with DD1 having a lovely riding lesson at the end of the day we left after chicken/horse duty done this morning, they were both paid £3 as wages for their 'hard work' on the farm, bless them and as soon as we arrived home my lovely friend arrived home and whisked them off for lunch/cinema/tea

fingers crossed DH will have improved by tomorrow as DH has promised to take DD1 climbing or swimming - neither pleasant with his 'condition'

D been fed fishfingers and frozen peas as we've not made it to the shops and DH now retired to bed

dizzydixies · 14/04/2010 18:47

oh sorry, sorry - what a complete snore fest

albs def don't panic. very likely you've got a blockage from not feeding over weekend.Do as the wise Dizz says and try massaging in shower. But, agree, pop to docs. From my experience (had a lump myself just after i broke my back, my my that was a fun time!) doc will err on the side of caution and send you off to get it scanned. Hopefully you won't have to wait at hospital all day only to be told you have to wait 4weeks for another appt because the scanning staff haven't turned up. F**k that we thought and booked a private scan at H House. All was fine in the end and wasn't anything to worry about

dizz worry not, i completely accept i wasn't the star of the show!

sorry to everyone i'm ignoring my not mentioning you, i've only read the last couple of messages
